The shower, the bed ! The air conditioner and the location!
The hotel is very well located. The room are cleaned daily.
There is Wi-Fi but you need a chinese phone number to connect. The staff at the reception were willing to help, but none of them spoke English, which made communication quite rudimentary
Very quiet location (except in the mornings). Nice and friendly staff. Very clean room.
The restaurant outside the hotel was turned into a dog park in the mornings. We woke up early by dogs barking.
Despite the name and location, this is a modern, western-friendly accommodation. There is a brewpub and a few other small venues in the same courtyard. A couple of temples and lots of other shopping and food/drink in the area.
Glass cube toilet. Breakfast ends too early. A bit far to the subway.
This is my 2nd time staying here. This time, it was a little bit disappointed but “not” because of the hotel’s service. It was due to the area around the hotel has been under construction during my staying so it was quite inconvenient to get to the property. Anyway, I still love to stay in this cultural area and yeah this hotel makes me feel at home. The staffs were good but during my stay it seemed there were to English-speaking staffs in charge, which didn’t cause much troubles for me cause I can understand a little bit Chinese. But I think there might be some inconveniences for other foreign guests as I have seen in some reviews of them. Beijing people might seem indifferent in their expression, which one might have seen from the hotel’s staffs, but actually they were ready to help if you have any problems. Just don’t take norm of how service providers should be to judge them and you will be happy with Beijing’s style. =]
