Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was simply magnificent in its cleanliness, facilities and amenities. The common areas and rooms were delightfully furnished and beautifully equipped. Water, welcome biscuits and excellent bathroom products were included. Jeanne, who welcomed and looked after us during our stay, could not have been more accommodating to our every request. A superb breakfast was served in the charming dining room and the only negative issue was in tearing ourselves away. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Cons: Nothing to improve. Every consideration was made for our comfort.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was clean and we especially loved the breakfast. The courtyard was also nice to sit and enjoy some wine and cheese. It’s centrally located to Beaune old town and just a short stroll to the main shopping village.
Cons: For the high price we paid it was disappointing to have no Wi-fi in our room for the entire stay. We let the staff know and they apparently tried to fix it but still didn’t work. No offer of discount or anything. Also having the bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs is quite annoying, especially when you need to get up during the night for the toilet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Ver nice and quiet loacted autenthick and very characteristic place., close to the city centre of Beaune.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very charming helpful staff. Pretty courtyard, delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: I did not like the stairs in the bedroom as bathroom on different floor to bedroom. Quite dark decoration too which is a shame as it would be better if pretty and French. Secure parking only available for smaller cars or average size cars not big cars.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed rooms. Lovely staff. Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a small gem in Beaune. We stayed in Room 1 which was very large and beautifully furnished. The bed and linens were luxurious and the wooden bed surround and wardrobe were gorgeous. The bathroom was also large and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious each morning. The location of the hôtel is excellent, just inside Beaune’s city walls but away from the noise of the main squares. Jeanne was very helpful with anything we needed and arranged a wine tasting with the Fatien family winemaker. We also highly recommend the restaurant owned by the hotel’s owners - Les Caves Madeleine, one of our favorite meals of our trip. Overall a fantastic stay and we were sorry to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was outstanding. The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay special.
Cons: There is not one thing we didn’t like.

Pros: Large, comfortable bed, lovely cool room. Very close to town centre.

Cons: Not a thing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location,in town
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location in the very heart of Beaune is great for exploring the region of Burgundy. Working AC and a swimming pool in this heat were big pluses. Staying in a historical building was a great experience.
Cons: Unloading a car in this narrow street can be a challenge.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff was very helpful. Location is good.
Cons: I don't mind to use stairs, but a really steep staircase between the bed and the toilet - it is a bit too much. I was told on arrival that TV and air conditioning has limited options, and indeed it was true. I couldn't change the volume on TV, or adjust the temperature. Hotel is clearly overpriced - 5 EUR for a half liter water in the minibar is a good proof for my words.

Cons: Although we only had a small room the bed could have been bigger.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location and the chateau were lovely.
Cons: The rooms are in the grounds not in the chateau. The sun beds were very faded and the bathroom full of dead bugs and spiders. No milk for tea or coffee in the room. The beds were small and although you can push them together they are on castors and move. The outside door to the communal hallway bangs and is very noisy. We had children next door in and out all the time.

Pros: This was just an overnight stay to break up a long drive further south. I'd highly recommend it for longer stays though as it's in a great location for the centre of Beaune. The staff were super friendly and were happy to help out with dietary requirements (vegan / veggie) by offering just coffee instead of a full breakfast, for one of us which was exactly what was needed. Many thanks.

Pros: The hotel itself was a hidden gem, you could easily miss it, when the courtyard is open you are surrounded by a well maintained quaint French building. The room itself was very clean had a comfortable bed for my Grandson, the bathroom was brilliant with a great shower. It was a very hot day but there were fantastic shutters on the windows and aircon.
Cons: Later check in time 2pm but not a massive issue, slight lack of nearby facilities, I have a disability and would advise caution with booking and make sure they are aware. These are minor negative comments.

Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location and there was secure parking for our car which was important for us as we were carrying lots of extra bags with us. The breakfast was very good and we found that there was a good restaurant across the road for an evening meal.
Cons: It was clearly a very busy popular hotel but did not have much atmosphere. We managed to get a very nice evening meal at the one restaurant that was open on the night we stayed. Perhaps we should have asked at the hotel for some advice as we were lucky to be able to get a seat in this very busy restaurant.

He also allowed me to securely keep my rented bike inside the lobby area. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were cloud-like! The room was very quiet despite being on the road side. The location was ideal! Half a block from the main city center (outside of the wall/ring street); the price was the best in the area. The WiFi was very fast and reliable!

Pros: Staff were very helpful and check-in was as one of the quickest we have ever experienced. Room was comfortable with great shower facilities and breakfast was fine. Well located for a short walk into Beaune itself, and very close to numerous restaurants.
Cons: Nothing to mention. Whilst absolutely nothing to do with the property and I recognise that we may have been unlucky owing to the busy Bugatti event taking place that evening, but the traffic in the town was v bad and exhaust fumes intense. Another small place unfortunately not designed for the traffic using it!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was in a fantastic position in the old town. Very easy walking of everything you want to see and great restaurants. The building is quirky and interesting. The bedrooms at the very top of the building have beautiful beams but can be a problem for tall or even short people. There are plenty of stairs.
Cons: Nothing.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and calm (except when the party of Americans was chatting in the courtyard). Polite efficient friendly service. Breakfasts very standard french, and good. A bar but no restaurant, which is not a problem, but try and book restaurants in advance as they get very filled up pretty early, and some of those with places are not good. We would definitely return to the Hotel des Remparts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were comfortable and very clean, with effective air conditioning. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the shady courtyard. As always, all the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, and helpful with recommending and making local restaurant reservations.

7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent location Nice looking property Plenty of space in room Nice for the children that there are goats Children loved the little playground area and swing Nice vegi dish Lots of wines to chose from
Cons: Service in the restaurant was slow When the restaurant opens at 7pm and you have young kids who need to be in bed by 8:30pm or they start crying and acting up, then such slow service destroys the experience of evening meals Pool was full of a lot of insects and could be cleaned by skimming surface regularly On one night we could hear lots of chairs being moved around for about 20 minutes close to midnight - seemed like cleaning the restaurant below, but it could have been done more carefully at such time in night when people sleep There were only 2 highchairs and 3 infants staying in hotel so it was always one family waiting - maybe invest in a few more Pillows not good for neck Plastic fake bamboo on balcony a bit tacky - real plants everywhere would be nicer
6.7 Good

6.7 Good
Pros: The food in restaurant is very nice
Cons: We had a drink at the bar one evening: 2 double baileys and 2 x 6 cl of a Marc de Bourgogne = EUR 92. That is not fair
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great
Cons: WiFi not working in room
7.1 Good
Pros: A hotel with a very nice restaurant in the middle of the vineyard.
Cons: We had an apartment duplex in the annex. The room was very cold at night ( both levels) with no blankets in the room. The Wifi didn't work in the annex. The breakfast is not included and very expansive. I had made a reservation for the restaurant a month in advance through the hotel that was not transmitted. Fortunately we were able to have a table.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location off main road.
Cons: Wi-Fi non existent, room smelt of smoke. Bed hard. Bathroom and shower very old and tired and dirty.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very high quality; the scrambled eggs were spot on and the buffet generous. The dinner the night before was also very memorable; the tomato carpaccio starter with basilic sorbet was just unreal and the pork belly was worth the calories!!! Definitely go back again.
Cons: The spare sofa bed was less comfy for the adults; the grandkids usurped the master bed.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent, room very clean and modern
Cons: Bit pricy
9.2 Excellent
Pros: varied breakfast, handy location just off the motorway, twin sofa bed provided for our children was excellent as meant they weren't sharing a bed. modern bathroom and hairdryer provided.
Cons: We had an evening meal and the staff didn't explain about the buffet (there was a grill outside that we weren't sure was part of the buffet) and the service to get drinks was very slow.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very comfortable and consistent with our other experiences at Novotel.
Cons: The drain in the shower did not work well and therefore the water quickly leaked onto the bathroom floor. That was the only downside of the hotel.
9.6 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very quiet. Room was modern. Bar open until midnight. Food served until 10.30pm.

Pros: Comfortable bed Nice breakfast Proper shower door ( no curtain!) Like the light saving idea with keycard Cheerful bright decor Dogs welcome
Cons: Would be nice to have some greenery outside around building
4.6 Okay
Pros: Conveniently located close to the highway, that is probably the main advantage and justification of the price
Cons: Noisy internal (doors slamming, alarms going off). Dogs are allowed, (I did not pay attention to that during booking, my fault), so that is an additional ‘noice’. There was a ‘chemical cleaning’ odour.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Egg boiler, colourful bedrooms, location.

Overview Reviews
Since 1818, and throughout time, the walls of Le Central (built in 1995) have seen many a guest seeking a good night sleep at the foot of the iconic Hospices de Beaune. In 2018, the hotel celebrated its 200th anniversary with a complete makeover. All spaces have been redesigned to combine the friendliness of an AirBnB and the services of a grand hotel Every one of our 23 modern rooms are equipped with Made In France bedding and has its own personality: warm, zingy or soft, pastel colours, a unique artwork… There is surely one that matches you ! For the foodies out there, we have put together a generous and delicious breakfast buffet to keep you full until your next meal in one of the numerous restaurants, bistros and brasseries just a few steps from the hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good breakfast. Central location close to restaurants and bars.
Cons: Waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied after previous guest vacated the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to the centre this accommodation was by all means mediocre. The price of almost €150 was therefore far too high.
Cons: We had room number 1 on the Main Street-side. A lot of noise of the traffic on the cobblestones. Traffic started in the morning at 4:00 hrs. An other thing was the fact that (due to the weather) the room was very warm and lacked airco. Did we sleep well? Actually; NO.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: They clearly put effort into making their hotel an experience in Beaune. Complementary glass of wine was a nice touch. The front desk staff was unfailingly helpful and welcoming. All in all a wonderful stay.
Cons: The only wish I would have is for AC, but honestly we didn't need it even when it was 90 during the day.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Good position
Cons: Terrible room very noisy no A/C. Bed, room WC and shower room very small and whole experience awful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, smack in the middle of Beaune, which is a very pretty and lively town. My room was small (1 person), but otherwise quiet and oké. The manamager/receptionist was very friendly and protective of my bike, which he insisted had to be put in the garage. Breakfast buffet was good and rather elaborate, certainly to French standards. And even better when consumed in the sun on the terrace.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and amazing location
Cons: Rooms were a bit small
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Old, smelly, no lift, no AC, bad shower. Never stay again even for one night
7.9 Good
Pros: The retro lounge, football table, comfy beds,
Cons: The toilet, temperature in room

9.1 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed this boutique hotel very much. It's an older building with plenty of character and is interesting because all of rooms are different. We had a suite on the first floor, the room was extremely spacious with high beamed ceilings and 2 bathrooms which is somewhat unique. There was a bit of noise from the floors creaking when the upstairs neighbors walked around but it was delightful to our ears and is definitely part of the ambiance we were looking for in Beaune. Location is inside the walled city and close for restaurants, wine shops and other shopping. We look forward to our next visit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambiance was perfect to celebrate our weddibg anniversary. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff and the cocktails were mixed wonderfully.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location and environment. Excellent, sincere and helpful staffs !
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful, did every bit to make us feel comfortable. Beautiful and super clean rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, going beyond the expected to ensure that we are a happy customer. Hotel employee took an initiative and upgraded our room to something more comfortable for our child. Beautiful, very spacious and comportable rooms. There's a great wine cellar with fair pricing, we happily took advantage of.
6.3 Good
Pros: If you want to stay in the centre of Beaune then this is good location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially the guys who managed the parking at the hotel as we had come by car and helped us with our luggage. They were great. Nice internal courtyard area for evening drink and/or breakfast weather permitting.
Cons: I have spent countless stays at Relais & Chateau hotels and SLH and as a 5 star SLH member this was hugely disappointing. The reception area was rather charmless and second rate with awful sofa area and a backlog of people trying to check in. It was chaotic. Our room in the main building overlooking the street at the front of the hotel was awful. It smelt damp and was dingy and the decor and furnishings were sub standard. Not up to scratch.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, atmosphere
Cons: Carpeting in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the centre of the old town. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast in a super historic building.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Character
Cons: Buffet Breakfast was poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoy your delicious breakfast outdoors if the weather permits... it's a magical space. Have a drink at the lobby bar or by the piano after dinner before retiring to your stately room. (It could be the one Louis XIV stayed in!) Do NOT miss a wine tasting with Sebastian, the hotel's sommelier whose knowledge of wine is unmatched. The collection stored in the cellar is undoubetdly one of the finest in France. In terms of location, you will not do better. Art galleries, shops, restaurants and historic sites are within walking distance. All the staff, most definitely including the general manager Mr.Bernard, were exceptionally welcoming and resourceful.
Cons: I am struggling to answer this. My family and I loved everything. Maybe it was just a perfect fit for us, but I truly cannot imagine why anyone wouldn't be completely satisfied with their stay here.

Cons: Not much - breakfast menu choice maybe.

Pros: Nice hotel although rooms are on the smaller side. Staff excellent and friendly with serviceable English. Very good breakfast and excellent restaurant for dinner. Good access to everything. Would gladly stay here again.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Dinner ok but very rich
Cons: A very hot uncomfortable room without adequate air conditioning, Much too hot to sleep . we had to ask to be moved at one o’clock in the morning to another room ,they were quite helpful .but we had to dress as we had to move from a room in an annex on the street to a room in the attic . Neither very luxurious. I feel they should at least given us a free breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Building, Atmosphere, location, very friendly staff
Cons: Too less staff during breakfast and no real luggage service
7.1 Good
Pros: Location excellent !
Cons: Parking was not actually available on arrival however somebody had to move as we had pre booked ! Not a great system and staff were not very helpful
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was sub standard: scrambled eggs not very tasty; no pepper and salt on the table nor on the display area. Cappuccino of low quality not equal to the standards the hotel is suggesting. Room is ok.
Cons: See above
6.7 Good
Pros: The bar, setting and location.
Cons: The breakfast is very poor. The first day we went to breakfast at 9.15 and the buffet was not re-stocked. No bread, no eggs... The eggs we received were prepared in the microwave. No clean tables even tho there were hardly any people. On arrival 7.30 pm, our room was not ready so we were upgraded to the junior suite which is also very basic. All by all very expensive 4* hotel with not a good value for money.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location & staff very helpful
Cons: Our bedroom was spacious although the bed was not very comfortable- very firm . The room seemed very tired but clean .
7.9 Good
Pros: The family room was enormous and perfectly set up for our family of four. It was very comfortable with good quality linen and products. It was also very helpful that the hotel had a restaurant given we arrived in the evening following a long drive.
Cons: The service in the restaurant was a little stuffy but the food was excellent. €15 I felt was very expensive for a child’s meal, particularly given there were only two choices: chicken or fish and my children (aged 5 and 6) have very small appetites. What really enraged me was that my daughter asked for an apple juice and when the bill arrived, we had been charged €9 for it! I thought that was ridiculous and totally out of proportion with the cost of everything else (my glass of Crémant was less!).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Older hotel. Free water in rooms, parking with reservation 12 euros and excellent location.
Cons: As most French hotels, the shower/tub is not the best for 6’7” man.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are excellent, very responsive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location near the old city.
Cons: It should be mentioned the the restaurant is closed on Tuesday night, although there are many restaurants in the walled city.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was good and also had close access to the motorway
Cons: Very shabby in need of a refurbishment. Surprised that the hotel receptionist couldn’t speak or understand hardly any English given that a lot of the guests were from the UK.
