Super clean and comfortable. The room we had was perfect for a few days and breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Would definitely come back.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent location, few steps away from metro, 10 minutes walk from the very center of Barcelona. Nice clean flat, with all necessary accessories.very helpful staff. Highly Recommended!
Sound insulation does not exist. You hear everything from the next appartment.
The bed was really comfortable, with high-quality linen and the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean on arrival, everything was sparkling. The tea/coffee station in the common area was very nice and well-equipped. Apple TV was useful for playing music in the room, watching Netflix etc. Really nice choice of items at breakfast including freshly made smoothies, waffles etc. The downstairs bar is a great space to spend time in. Really well-designed space styled impeccably and not overly themed or cliched. Finally, the location is perfect - there's a metro station on the opposite corner and lots of main attractions are also walkable. Nice bars and restaurants nearby if you don't want to venture too far in the evening.
Our room wasn't cleaned on one of the days, meaning that we had to really stretch out the shower gel and re-use the towels a few more times than I'd have liked. We had put the DND sign on for an hour whilst getting ready after breakfast but had left by 12 for the day so it just seems that no-one had checked back. A small cupboard or drawer would be useful in the room. Hanging space was ample for a short break but there was nowhere to store makeup, underwear etc. Similarly, there was a small table in the bathroom but no hooks to hang up robes, toiletry bags etc. The bar downstairs was meant to be open until 12 but there was noise until 1:30 am on one of the week-nights we stayed. I expect a certain amount of noise in a prime city-centre location (and live in a city myself) but given that there are signs up to residents to be quiet after 12, then I felt that this was unacceptable. This wouldn't put me off staying again, I'd just remember to pack a pair of earplugs next time!
Hotel had a very relaxed vibe to it and the hotel staff were just excellent - friendly and helpful!
Nothing - it was all good!
The Gaudi buildings are nearby. But really you are far from the Gothic Quarter and most sights so expect to catch the metro or walk a lot. Girona Metro is nearby.
Warning: This is not a real hotel, rather apartments managed by the Cafe Lounge below. The photos and description are misleading - there is no luxury or retro chic here. These apartments are retro as in thrift store, decorated on the cheap with old and worn furniture and fittings, often still with that thrift store smell. Rooms are not soundproofed and there is constant noise - from the communal areas, the upstairs rooms, and the loud music and chatter from the Cafe Lounge at night. On weekdays there is also noise from the building construction just behind. Service from the mostly young staff ranges from friendly to cold, and is casual rather than hotel professional. I found the breakfast buffet to be below average and poor quality. My 'Superior Studio' apartment was unimpressive, lacked comfort, and highly overpriced for the basic facilities and quality. This is budget accommodation, more akin to a youth hostel than a smart hotel. Better value can be found elsewhere.
