There's a coffee machine where u can get free coffee from 8am untill 10am..also juice !! The localization is ok!! Walking distance from the Ramblas..gotico..around 15-20min. Really don't know why that hostel has a so bad qualification!! Should be better!! I would say around 8.
They should create a solution for the bathroom to be more clean..it gets dirty very fast..people are drying themselves out of the box. NO OVEN. Only microwave. The BEDS make A LOT of noise when people move during the night..but is VEEERY MUCH..so it gets annoying!!
. When I finally finished sightseeing for the day and got to the hostel and had only about 3 hours before I had to leave again, the guy at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. He made sure I was put into a quiet room, helped me fix the lights so they would turn off, and was overall just friendly and kind. When I was checking out a few hours later he made sure I took a coffee with me.
When I arrived to check in the man at reception barked at me that check in wasn't until 1pm. I wasn't trying to stay there, had just gotten off the airplane and wanted to drop my stuff before sightseeing since I was in town for less than 24 hours and had only booked a hostel to get a nap before leaving at 4am the next morning. He eventually allowed me to use the bathroom to change and stored my bag and gave me the wifi then demanded to know when I would return, but I tried explaining I didn't know because I had so much to see in such a short time. He made it seem as though I had to give a specific time and was disgruntled when I said I didn't know.
The recepcionist's attitudes and treats was excellent. It was a cool experience for our female group! :) You can walk ant touristical area. Walk walk walk :)
Hostel made an effort to keep the place clean
Be aware that the location is on a slope, can be difficult to walk if you are carrying many bags. The light switch is very annoying to deal with. You can only switch it on, and after some time (5 minutes) it turns off by itself. You cannot switch it off yourself. You risk bothering people or being bothered by people when looking to sort your/their stuff at night. Similarly, with the bathroom water, you have to constantly keep pumping it otherwise it will turn off by itself after about 30 seconds. The bathroom lights also switches off by itself after sometime but it is sensor based so its not that annoying. I do not understand why they choose to use such appliances. They are not faulty in any way but the utility of the appliances is questionable.
Staff were really helpful, they let me leave my luggage for all day for free. Free coffee and сroissant at 8:00-10:00 a.m. 'Orange & pineapple juice' was for free, but it it's more like a cordial, very sweet.
Mold on the walls. Extra charge of 2 euros for sheets and towel
