One of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve ever had the fortune to sleep in. Room was generously sized, with a very nice bathroom. Very welcoming and helpful staff throughout the complex. Only tried room service so can’t comment on all the restaurants, but the burger received was surprisingly good. There’s a small mall nearby and easy access to taxis.
Not a criticism, more a heads-up. The location is good for a peaceful stay in Bangkok, but not exactly downtown. Thankfully the property provides a regular, complimentary ferry to and from the nearest BTS station, which made moving around the sprawling city a little easier.
Breakfast was delicious, such a huge choice I don't think anyone would have starved!
Lots of positive feedback, tempered by my experience as a person with limited mobility. FIRST: Empathy and care by the staff exemplary, quite outstanding. Thank you very much. SECOND: What I hope are constructive comments, but remember from a person with limited mobility. Having travelled from UK, a long way to come and consequently my expectations are high. Did not ask for but given room with river views. Terrace restaurant fully booked although had given review last week about how much looking forward to that experience again. Compensated, in part, by the alfresco meal we had at the bar. The magnificently looking marble flooring in the bathroom and shower was like a death trap for me and the fixed head shower was very limiting and compounded my mobility issue. I covered the floor with the towels available to minimize the danger. Next morning, on my request, was supplied with a small, bath sized, rubber mat. Waiting for the ferry, arrived in good time, few people there. Sat down to wait as close as possible to the access. When the ferry arrived, the host demanded we queue, very British, no prob. But by the time I managed to get up and move to the back of the ever growing, increasing queue, the chain was put across the gangway and we were turned away. Tried to arrange, with little success, may I possibly have seat on the next ferry if I waited again on the seat, rather than the queue. Guess this is, in part, down to me, maybe I could have displayed my disability badge or maybe allocated seats for the disabled, could be assigned. Back to the positives - the breakfast and service is a real WOW, magnificent. A personal comment from a guy who eats too much anyway - would hav preferred my bacon grilled rather than fried because this would have reduced the grease content. Please remember, these comments are from a disabled person and they are meant to be constructive rather than critical. The staff are magnificent and their care and consideration is much appreciated.
Still being pedantic, describing experience from a person with limited mobility. Access to swimming pool is up steps, no problem but wish rope limited access, did not make it difficult to get to the hand rail to support myself. Roped off in three of the four easy access points. These things happen. We were locked out of our room because of low battery power in the key access system. Would love to have at least an occasional chair on the landing. Maybe the walk ways kept clear because of Health and Safety. Really nit picking but maybe this may help someone like myself.
Cleanliness and friendly staff
Spa was terrible, no luxury but luxury prices
The hotel is beautifully decorated and immaculate, staff incredibly helpful and smiley. Food is delicious.
Bathroom could do with a little modernisation. The separate hot and cold taps made it more challenging to get the right temperature but it was very clean regardless.
