Liked the place.
Staffs were nice and very helpful. Breakfast was great and helped to keep up our next day of big hiking.
Noisy from upstair and outside. Would be difficult to leave the balcony window opened in hot days(no ac in the room).. We stayed early Sept so it cool down quickly at night.. so it wasnt too bad for us..
The breakfast was delicious! The staff this morning were friendly. Hot tub jets were lovely.
I thought that things could be cleaned better. There were crumbs and dirt under the edge of my bed, and between the bed and end table. The mirrors in the hot tub area were dirty. And the bathroom/change room in the pool area was gross. The floor was covered in hair and the shower had chunks of stuff in the bottom. The shower drain was also plugged and not draining the water, so I had to shower standing in water that had a bunch of floaties in it. Looked very un-appealing. I could only find one plugin where I could charge my phone, and it was accords the room from the bed and I had to unplug the lamp or tv in order to use it. And wifi was spotty in my room.
Poor customer service/ poor cleanliness
Mildew on the ceiling of the shower, refused early check-in without even checking system, refused to provide managers contact information then gave fake information when request was made repeatedly.
The a/c did not work. For summer time it got warm in our room at night. There was no note with the thermostat saying how to work it.
Good customer server Good Breakfast Room was clean Enjoyed Sauna, pool everything more than what we expected
Best price hotel I could find on shorter notice
Good location and included a basic continental breakfast.
no elevator and while it has parking, the spots are not very big.
It's kind of motel of 80th. Old facilities.
price, included continental breakfast, staff acted promptly on our concerns, can walk to town center
noisy from floor to floor b/c older building, no a/c
Price, and staff
Seems worn down, door was loose
Don't do it
The staff at the front were polite and accommodating
Housekeeping was very poor, no fitting sheet no vacuuming and didn't take empty shampoo bottles, bathroom fan was gross, really old mattresses and rarely started by 3pm Phone wouldn't call out tried calling multiple food places for delievery always busy used cell phone worked first time Breakfast was gross, juice was really watered down, yougurt close to expiration poor selection of foods.
Not for a family
We liked the free continental breakfast, decent amount of food choices. One of the first places to stay when you arrive in Banff.
We got in early to Banff on a rainy cold day with a very pregnant woman and toddler child. I inquired about a possible early check in, was told 4pm is check in time. Ok fine. We toured banff, ate, but not much to see in banff on a cloudy cold rainy day. We returned at 3 and were told again, rather sternly that we could not check in, because check in is at 4. We left, returned at 3:50 to a large line of people checking in. Great! : (. I could overhear the girl at the front telling people that there room wasn't ready yet and to come back at 5!!! No apology or reason was given. We did finally get into our room. There is a bar on site and people are very loud leaving the bar at all hours it seems. Room was below average with a terrible mattress and very old furnishings.
Great location and price
For a hotel in Banff the price was great. The room was average, nothing fancy but clean. A little far from the main area but walkable.
Staff told me to use the back door to bring my luggage in because my room was on that side of the hotel. They didn't tell me there was no elevator, and I had a LOT of luggage.
