Out the way relatively quiet location, nice old renovated building. The breakfast hamper was a good and bottled water was a pleasant addition. Proper hairdryer as well so that was a nice touch.
The room was cold for winter, slight draft and noise from the cars going in and out of the car park. The two bathroom spiders I named Chaz and Dave. Very small TV.
The room was clean, comfortable and warm-cosy. The breakfast basket was full of tea, coffee, juices and light breakfast items. Bathroom products free, plenty of towels, TV and good power in the shower. Free parking a bonus.
Menu was disappointing, it was dominated by burger style dishes, beef, lamb and chicken. The chef was though flexible and kindly made up a healthy salad dish with salmon .
At the price; it would be nice to have a decent SHOWER in the room, I thought MIRA had long gone. It would also be a nice touch, again at that price, if the heating had been turned on, before I arrived; rather than sit in the cold, waiting for the room to become habitable:((work u
The rooms are in a separate building made of stone, perhaps an old stable. They are really soundproofed so you don't feel you have to tiptoe around and also don't get disturbed yourself. Staff were lovely, food was good, bed was comfy. The village is really pretty and the accommodation is down a side street away from roads so no traffic noise. Also I could see the stars which can't in my town due to light pollution. Recommend a stay here.
Shower wasn't powerful so took ages to get clean.
