The room was great. The bed was very comfortable which is what I wanted.
The room service was terrible. It was either late or my order was wrong or it took several calls to even place an order. How is this 4 star? Do not stay here if you want a lazy weekend with room service. Stay at the Hyatt. They are much better.
Water from shower head overflowed to the bathroom floor and almost half of the floor become wet.
Fantastic space, great room, and Check-in from Mone't! She was great.
The staff is professional and courteous, the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in a suite with a jetted tub that was excellent. Overall, the property was a bit too warm and not quite on par with the properties in Pittsburgh or Philly. The location is very good, walking distance to inner harbor attractions.
We have stayed at Kimpton Monaco properties before and have been very impressed, this one under-delivered a bit. The shower door was missing and had been ripped off the wall. We asked 4 times for someone to replace or repair the broken fridge in our room, but it was never done (the staff was polite and kept assuring us someone was coming to swap it out for 3 days). They did offer us breakfast or a night of parking because of the inconvenience. At this price point, I expect a bit better.
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore is a boutique hotel with 202 rooms of elegance and luxury. This quaint inn sits in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and his just minutes away from some of the city's best sites. The hotel and its accompanying restaurant are located within the historic B&O Railroad Headquarters building, which had its heyday over 100 years ago in 1906 when it was a popular destination for early business tycoons and politicians. This Golden Age aesthetic is preserved and given a modern update to give Kimpton Hotel a unique look and feel.
The Kimpton Hotel Monaco is highly acclaimed, as it was named the Best Hotel in Maryland in 2019 by Southern Living magazine and to the Best Hotels in Baltimore list by U.S. News & World Report. There are three different floorplans for guests to choose from. The majority of the hotel's accommodations are the Deluxe Rooms, which come with a spacious work desk, luxurious Frette linens, and incredible views of the city. Guests can also choose to stay in the King Premier Spa that comes with a Fuji tub and the Monte Carlo, which is the same as the King Premier except with two queen beds.
Kimpton Hotel Monaco's in-house restaurant, B&O American Brasserie, creates modern American cuisine using locally-sourced ingredients. Given that the restaurant is mere steps from the harbor, guests can expect lots of delicious freshly caught seafood on the menu. Some of the kitchen's signature dishes include the blue crab etouffee, marrow bone short rib and sweet potato gnocchi with pear purée, crispy sage, and toasted walnuts.
