8.8 Excellent (944 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Las Leyendas places you in the heart of Avila, steps from Walls of Avila and 2 minutes by foot from Torreon de los Guzmanes. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Location is great. Ambience is great. Definitely would recommend it.
Cons: WiFi was very slow. Room was good but could have had more facilities.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great! I liked the stone and wood decor.
Cons: We didn't like having to walk through the restaurant to get out of the hotel. We would have liked to pay in cash, but understand it is typical to only accept cards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect and my room was very clean. It is just next to the ancient walls which is convenient for enjoying the day and night view of the walls. There is an observatory just one minute away, I recommend to go there in the morning for the panoramic countryside view. The local pastry on Calle Caballeros opposite of the Soul Kitchen Restaurant was a surprise found. The gentleman sells both pastry and coffee. So if you are looking for really local pastry of NO fancy souvenir packaging, that is the one and it is just two minutes from the hotel.
Cons: Wifi log-in was not always smooth.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was ideal for visiting the old walled town. Although it didn't have parking, it was easy to find free parking very close by. We were impressed by the excellent signing in machine as we arrived when the receptionist had left. It was very quiet in our room on the ground floor. The experience of being in a hotel in the walls of the historic town was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing at all.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: For British guests need a kettle in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Newly renovated room. Tastfully done. Perfect location at the citywall. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast with excellent coffee.
Cons: Breakfastbackgroundmusic is not what pleases us partilarly !! The same is applicable for the musical performance in the restaurant that can be heard in the hotelroom dowmstairs since its not sound proof. Just simply skip it ! Silence is a luxuourious good.
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfy bed was a bonus for us and the room was clean. We didn't book for breakfast but were accomodated in the morning. The juice selection ar breakfast was impressive.
Cons: No tea or coffee facility No plug for the bath. We only read the notice once we got back from dinner and the reception was already closed. Not a fan of the electronic self service check in....very impersonal.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was excellent and the restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous. Room was bigger than expected. Breakfast good, worth the €5!!
Cons: There was no one in reception when we got there and we had to use the self check in. This is NOT a good way to welcome guests! And if you are going to use a self check in you better make sure it works (which it didn’t and we had to get someone from the restaurant to help us). Hot water was an issue (no hot water 2 mornings out of 3). It was also very hot in Ávila and the air conditioning was still set to heat only. Very hot sleeping at night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good value, nice hotel in excellent location.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly receptionist. Very clean. Great location. Free Parking easy to find on street. Quiet room with nice armchair to sit in. Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect for visiting Avila as the hotel is just outside one of the gates into the walled city. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
Cons: Bathroom shower is a little small and tight. Lacking in extra hand towels and shower mat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good, street parking was available.
Cons: Very expensive tapas in the cafe and would not take a credit card, eat somewhere else. Would not stay again.

Hostal Bellas - Ávila - Bedroom
3
8.8 Excellent (648 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hostal Bellas places you in the heart of Avila, steps from Plaza Mercado Chico and Walls of Avila.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Situated right in the center, very close to Plaza Real and in walking distance to all the sights. The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean, had a balcony where I could smoke. Almost perfect.
Cons: No idea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rosa Sancho must be the nicest hotel clerk in all Spain. For every little problem that I had, she had a solution, often before I realized I had a problem. Usually that involved going up to her apartment for something she could see I needed. If I were in business now, I'd hire her for twice whatever she wants here. She and the hotel are both gems.
Cons: Next time I'd ask for the corner room which has 2 balconies. Mine only had one....guess that is the definition of a first world problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and a good-sized full bathroom. Located close to Arco Rastro and friendly Soul Kitchen restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful for 2 Euro. Lovely building.

Hotel II Castillas Ávila - Ávila - Building
4
8.7 Excellent (3,235 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel II Castillas Ávila in Avila, you'll be connected to a shopping center, just steps from National Police College and a 5-minute drive from Walls of Avila. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location & Secure parking. Catering staff MOST helpful.
Cons: Restaurant menu was 'brief'.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is clean, efficient and functional (as advertised). Check-in/out process quick and easy. Breakfast in the morning pretty good (buffet) - definitely enough to full up on before moving on. Has a Carrefour next door (easy walk - maybe 100m away) with a small selection of restaurants, also cinema shops etc. Secure underground parking, although no idea if security an issue in the area, although would guess not. Underground parking an extra 5 euro charge if you use it.
Cons: The shower was quite a complicated affair, albeit with instructions on how to use it. I'm fairly average size and it felt very cramped - if one is overly large (weight or height) else has any mobility issues, the shower might be a challenge.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cafeteria restaurant very good. Staff excellent food good. Very hardworking staff and services with a smile.
Cons: I have been here before and room was smaller but quite comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel right off the motorway for our trip to Mardid
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel is close to the motorway, without noise. The size of the rooms is excellent. Reception staff speak very good English and were very helpful.
Cons: The décor is not to my taste and is starting to date now. I have been coming to this hotel for over 10 years and it hasn't changed. Breakfast food quality has deteriorated, for example watering down orange juice. It appeared to have been blitzed possibly by a bus party and was being replenished. Shame because breakfast has always been a good selling point and the main waiter does an incredible job. The price has increased a lot from previous years.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good secure underground parking for motorcycle. Good room for 1 person
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, clean rooms, very spacious and close to a supermarket. Avila is a very small town, and it’s quite difficult to get around by car, so I do recommend this hotel, because it will provide you the finest experience by value ratio you can find not to mention that you can get Avila Walls within 5 minutes by car.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good services, comfortable room, excellent breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very large and had a patio
Cons: No complaints
Parador De Avila - Ávila - Building
5
8.7 Excellent (2,261 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Parador De Avila places you in the heart of Avila, steps from Walls of Avila and Palacio de Polentinos. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: restaurant meals were tasty and plentiful.
Cons: We don’t like eating dinner so late, ie 9 pm. Would be good if restaurants could begin meals at say 7 pm. More choice of fresh fruit at breakfast would be better. Room was too cluttered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful, even with our 2230 arrival. They directed us to the dining room and held our bags, so we could eat, as we were starving. They explained parking, which was free -- bonus!! Our room smelled of damp/mildew, but we were too tired to say anything. We mentioned it the next day and they moved us immediately and were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was confusing. It appeared as a buffet, but items were individually priced. We were worried we would be charged the "buffet" price when we only wanted eggs. However, we were only charged for the eggs, so although we worried, there was no problem! Only one thing missing -- a pool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Beautiful property. Easy parking. Lovely room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It would be hard to find anything negative to say about Spain's Paradores. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lovely terrace garden. It's located right by the ramparts of the city, so ideal to explore the inner city and the ramparts themselves. It's also a short walk from bars and restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Both the accomodation and location were excellent.
Cons: The food was decidedly average.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Eat my meals there and visited the bar. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained.
Cons: Parking is at a premium- I visited on the weekend and was able to get street parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, good food and friendly staff !

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Th historic location of the Parador was wonderful and the hotel itself was well laid out and well furnished with a very pleasant ambience. The restaurant was attractive, the service attentive and the food excellent.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Spanish decor. The garden and small park.
Cons: The breakfast and coffee were not up to 4 star standard. The fresh fruit had little taste and only packets of cereals and no fresh muesli. No English language tv and lighting in bath room wasn't sufficient.

7.9 Good
Pros: Great Hotel Work a fantastic staff and breakfeast!
Cons: Nothing to consider
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was convenient.
Cons: It's getting a bit old. Gluten free options not the best.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Buffet breakfast was one of the best during my 2 week trip
Cons: Internet was a little bit slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in good location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The minute we walked through the door, Alejandra welcomed us with a warm smile, and was so helpful with planning our day and evening in this beautiful city of Ávila!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff... hotel a short walk to Train Terminal and also intercity bus Station.. the old town an easy and comfortable walking distance away.
Cons: Would have loved to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful reception staff, excellent breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, historic and very Spanish-looking hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was in a spectacular sort of grand ballroom. Quite a find and very fitting for this treasure of a small town. We were able to park the car right in front so it couldn't have been more convenient.
7.1 Good
Pros: The lady on reception was lovely, telling us all about Avila and hugely welcoming. She didn't try to sell us the secure parking available at the hotel, but reassured us our motor bike's would be perfectly safe in the free (weekends only) parking outside the door.
Cons: The room smelt of ingrained cigarette smoke from previous years of smoking. I don't think it was due to inadequate recent cleaning.
7.7 Good
Pros: Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room a bit dated, but very well equipped and spacious. Clean. Breakfast buffet was an excellent selection. Good location being walkable into the centre, but far enough out to have car parking and to be easy to find by car. Also close to station. Great value for money. We had a lovely stay and would book again.
Cons: A few minor things - water was a very strange colour, window wouldn't stay open and room was very warm. The undergound car park is tiny and very difficult to manoeuvre into spaces. This wasn't too much of a problem as there were not many guests with cars when we stayed, but might be an issue in high season.
6.7 Good
Pros: We all had a very pleasent stay
Cons: I thought that all the staff on the reception desk should have been able to speak English. Parking should have been free thought that was expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Well sign posted so easy to find. A lovely hotel delightfully decorated and within walking distance of Avila's attractions.
7.0 Good
Pros: Helpful staff, convenient for old town, excellent breakfast but a bit over priced.Parking a five minute walk to an underground park, expensive but very secure.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location is fine, it takes about 20 minutes walk to the historical center. There is traffic in the street, but it was rather quiet in the night. The room was nice and spacious. The hotel has its own garage.
Cons: Some of the staff did not speak English. There is no own restaurant, only a bar. This bar offered small meals but unfortunately was full of smoke.
7.6 Good
Pros: We liked this hotel for its proximity to the train station. We also like the way the hotel is decorated - antique furniture creating an ambiance of royalty, representative of the Kingdom. Very well done. Staff are very helpful. Hotel room is very clean. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to try their breakfast which I'm sure will be great as well.
Cons: Nothing at all.
6.4 Good
Pros: Easy to find, good central location and comfortable room
Cons:
Hotel Las Cancelas - Ávila - Bedroom
7
8.7 Excellent (794 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Las Cancelas in Avila (Old Town of Avila), you'll be steps from Walls of Avila and Puerta del Alcazar. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice old building tucked away on a narrow street next to the cathedral. It also has a delightful outdoor restaurant next to the walls - pricey though. Our room was on the first floor with the small balcony overlooking the walls. You get a lot of conversation from the street with the windows open, but it’s not an issue when they are closed at night - good air conditioning if it gets too hot. The hotel has a traditional feel and is very clean. No lift, but a member of staff carried our cases upstairs. Decent breakfast, but it is extra - 6€. A bonus is the parking - easy to get to, but I recommend watching the YouTube video on their website first. Downside is the cost at 12€ a day.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great base for exploring Avila. We had a VW T5 LWB, which we left on the road outside the walls, but in fact, we would have been able to get it into the hotel's secure car park.
Cons: Difficult to get a meal at a time to suit us - as Brits we generally eat early,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and very clean and comfy rooms, would highly recommend
9.2 Excellent
Pros: All good friendly staff
Cons: No lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best Hotel experience since long. Friendly staff and nice room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming old hotel inside the walls, close to everything. Great affordable bar! Nice staff, Julia in the front desk was very helpful and pleasant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They have a private parking area that is very difficult to find. So we parked nearby in public parking and walked to the hotel. The man who was at the check in desk spoke very little English, so he immediately called a young waiter from the restaurant over. He was great. Went with me to public parking, helped me pay the parking attendant (20 cents), the got in my car and lead me through the maze to their private parking area right next to the hotel. Then later gave us great service in the restaurant. Loved Avila and this hotel was right there, walking distance to everything.
Cons: AC was noisy until I discovered the silent setting. So that was minor.
7.1 Good
Pros: Position is excellent in a very beautiful town
Cons: Restaurant served quantity rather than quality Huge slabs of meat drenched in salt , with a few slices of overcooked potatoes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in a very nice and central road with all amenities in a walking distance. The room was clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed and large shower. The staff is very friendly, helpful and smiling. Wifi works very well. Breakfast has a nice variety of drinks and food. Good and nice restaurant belonging to the same property, right in front of the hotel.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The receptionist was very friendly and helpful; the location is good
Cons: The bed was too short was a person of 1,85m; the bathroom had a strong chemical smell that caused an allergic reaction, and the smell spread to the rest of the room; the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet so it moved rather freely
Hotel El Rastro - Ávila - Building
9
8.4 Excellent (836 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel El Rastro in Avila (Old Town of Avila), you'll be steps from Torreon de los Guzmanes and Walls of Avila. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel has no parking, but is very close to a public parking, just outside the walls. ( a modern parking, where you get no ticket at the entrance; your license plate is scanned. When paying you type in your licence plate number.)
Cons: No internet in the room, only in the lobby, and even there it was not always available. At night the light in the room was too poor to read. Breakfast was not offered (But I can highly recommend cafetaria Granier, calle Don Geronimo. A 5 minutes walk.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, easy to walk anywhere in Avila, especially close to Teresa birthplace and cathedral in either direction, and walking by the beautiful walls at night sunset was fabulous. Nice receptionist.
Cons: Just that there were people taking in the nearby halls late, like 11:15pm, but Spain customs are later than my own home habits. Otherwise very comfortable.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: rude staff. this is not a hotel. its a small family run business, and poorly run! safety issues, electrical plugs out of place, hot water runs out, corridors without safety, broken walls, slight smell of sewage. Elevator gets you to between level 2 and 3, thus you get stairs. try go up and down with a stroller! one of the rooms had dust and smoke smells. there is no noise cancelling measures, therefore you hear everything that happens outside rooms. Forget getting directions from staff, you get a map and you are sent your way. Staff has no idea how bookings through the internet work. Took 15 mn to figure out if I had a reservation or not, even after showing confirmation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building which was in a quiet area so very peaceful.
Cons: Although the hotel was a beautiful old building with lots of character the facilities are fairly basic. The WiFi only worked in the reception area which was only attended between 0830 and 2330.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I had a fabulously comfortable room and the old building made for a great atmosphere! I was also surprised and pleased to have an ashtray and to be able to smoke!
Cons: The internet only works in the reception area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An old style hotel conveniently location near the Rastro gate, drive in and unload and then park outside the wall.

Cons: Wifi is only available in the lobby area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing ample room on the fourth floor, just opposite Torreón de los Guzmanes. Spotless room with charming views. Great location near the wall and puerta de El Rastro (El Rastro gate). Very kind staff. Really good value for money.
Cons: Air conditioning could have been more silent. Actually, I only had to use it one night, but it was quite noisy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Great service, clean rooms, and a great Italian restaurant next door. I have stayed here in the past and will definitely stay here next time we go to Ávila.
Cons: No breakfast options available, TV control difficult to use, and no hairdryer, safe, minibar etc in room

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Clean. Staff very helpful. Interesting building. Our room overlooked the square and we had evening sun pouring in from 4pm to 7pm.
Cons: There wasn't really anything which could have been improved upon - maybe investing in more routers to enable WiFi in rooms. Had to sit in reception to get reliable WiFi.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location by city wall [near to it]I had booked the Hostal but got room in Hotel around the corner. Bathroom was good.
Cons: Reception lady was really dour, unfriendly and unhelpful Bedroom was dark and horrible No hairdryer Sister restaurant Meson de Rastro was nothing special and not worth 25 euro for dinner
6.0 Good
Pros: It is located inside the ancient city near the wall. It is interesting to stay there for one night.
Cons: Their dinner was excellent and worth trying it. However, their breakfast was bad and too expensive. I've asked them to reduce the price.

Cons: The shower room is too small.
7.7 Good
Pros: Lovely central location. Ideal for exploring Avila. Clean, recently refurbished. Good bar and restaurant serving traditional food. Staff obviously take pride in their establishment. Their presence was low key but they were very helpful and friendly.
7.3 Good
Pros: An excellent room representing good value for money. Good location in Avila, from which to explore the town. The traditional posada-like aspect of the reception and the spacious lounge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolutely terrific place to stay in Avila. Great location inside the town walls in a beautiful old house, everything is within walking distance. The hostal seems to have been recently renovated, bathroom equipment is brand new, everything is very clean. Room design is very beautiful, with old-style furniture, comfortable beds, nice posters on the walls, attention to details etc. The hall looks lovely too - there's a restaurant there but it was closed when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will totally recommend it to anyone going to Avila.
6.6 Good
Pros: fantastic location inside old city walls, very characterful rustic hotel, great restaurant and superb value for money.
Cons:
6.8 Good
Pros: Lovely olde worlde building with many original features. Basic rooms but very clean and great value, nice quiet location.

Pros: Excellent value and a quality room, full of character and a very convenient location for exploring the town.
Cons: Unfortunate that the restaurant wasn't open on the night we arrived (closed Mondays) as it looks really good, but it wasn't difficult to find an alternative. Parking could be difficult with a car but not a problem for us as we were on motorcycles and could park outside the front door!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and nice room
7.5 Good
Pros: Satisfying breakfast. Paid parking in hotel garage very convenient.
Cons: The ability to cool the room more.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good
Cons: We paid for secured parking for the 2 nights that we stayed at the hotel for 2 motorbikes instead of leaving them on the street, however, on our first night coming back from a night out we were asked to move the motorbikes to another bay which was not a problem, however, both bikes had already been tampered with and had already been tried to be moved. Both bikes had security locks on them and moving them without unlocking them could have seriously damaged the bikes. The bikes are how we have travelled around spain and how we intend to get back to the UK, when we questioned who had moved the motorbikes, we had the response, that they did not speak any english to understand, very disappointed with their attitude. The motorbikes are valuable in both money and as our means of transport and enjoyment, I would hate to have imagined what help we would have received if the bikes had been damaged.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hostal Restaurante Puerta del Alcázar places you in the heart of Avila, steps from Walls of Avila and Church of Santo Tome El Viejo. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
7.5 Good
Pros: Right opposite the tourist office and the gate into Old Avila. The hotel has a very busy restaurant but good value for money.
Cons: Nearest parking half a kilometre away, in public car park, down the hill. Breakfast facilities were basic. There was no one at reception until after 6pm. (We arrived in Avila at 2pm)
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything was very good. Beautiful view of the wall and near entrance.
Cons: Our room was above the restaurant and it was very very noisy until late with people talking, laughing and then clearing plates etc and cleaning up.
6.3 Good
Pros: Check in was smooth and there was one wide set of stairs (because we were on the first floor) so easy to go up with pushchair (they don´t have a lift, but we knew this in advance). The room was clean and a decent size although the shower itself was quite small. A travel cot with bedding, including a proper mattress was provided at no extra charge for our 2 year old. Small balcony with view to the walls, but is not a place to relax as is only about 20cm deep. Occupied our child for a few minutes though. Buffet style breakfast available from 8:30 until 10:30 and included toast, jam, milk, Cola Cao, Sobaos (mini sponges), croissants, ham, cheese, salami, cornflakes, orange juice, yoghurt, fruits, omelette, and coffee. Sufficient for our needs and breakfast room was kept clean. Location great for sightseeing. About 15-20 minutes walk from train station, and then right outside a main entrance to the inner city which includes the tourist info office, plus entrance to the walk on the walls (worth doing for 5 euros). Plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries etc nearby including the two main squares both within 5 to 10 minutes' walk. It is worth visiting the bakery "Chuchi Pasteles", in the same street as the hotel, to the left, 40 seconds away. Then, inside the wall, you can go to the bakery "La Flor de Castilla". They both have very nice stuff and the typical "yemas" of Avila (but of course, you will find plenty of bakerys around with nice things!). And this is why on a Sunday with no guests in adjacent rooms I would give it 4 stars.
Cons: No bowls though so you had to eat cereal from a cup! We book a hotel predominantly for sleeping in, and unfortunately on a Saturday night, and with people staying in adjacent rooms this was barely possible. The great location is not so great when you hear merry makers and general bar noise until the early hours of the morning, cars with blasting stereos, motorbikes revving engines ect etc. Come 4am peace seemed to exist. Then just after some shut eye became possible we're awoken with a sudden wooooosshhhh. It sounded like we were on a boat trip under Niagara falls, but alas, that is just the experience of staying in this hotel. Our room had 3 bathrooms next to it (including our own). The plumbing in this hotel meant that every time a tap was turned, every flush, every shower, we had the deafening noise of gushing water. The sound would stop and then 30 mins later someone else would use the facilities and any attempt at sleep was once more broken. We had the next room's shower around half a metre from our heads when sleeping, so when they had a shower or used the toilet, it was impossible to sleep. A nightmare. Looking at the floor map for the hotel, not all the bedrooms would suffer from this issue. But 103 definitely does. If you do take the chance and book this hotel I would strongly suggest you look at that map (it shows fire exits) and make sure you are in a room with only your en-suite beside the room if possible. For this reason we would not stay here again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location! This was right in front of one of the main gates to get into the Avila old city. Lot of cafes too nearby, so eating options were never very far
Cons: The room was super small. Also, some basic things like a water heater, coffee, teabags in the room would have been a really great addition. Also, given the location, it could get noisy, if one is a light sleeper. It didn't bother us much though
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Very small shower.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The easy access to the central town and easy reach to transport facilities.
Cons: Noise of the flushing toilets from adjacent rooms in the hostal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly greeting in English. I was given info about festival in town.
Cons: I would have liked another socket near the bed to charge phone.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: we loved breakfast room and the breakfast and their own restaurant downstairs was reasonably priced and great and so were the staff,,the wall walk is well worth it..and the tuk tuk ride was also worth it..the tuk tuk is just to the right of the hotel..the walled city is the best we have seen so far..information straight across from hotel...>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
Cons: the shower was to scary for words.we used it once in 3 days..it was so small that when you moved in the shower you would knock the tap handle and burn or freeze yourself..and we are not over big people..
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was poor. Basic. Flies flying around. Basic products, in addition only one person attending at breakfast time. Only coffee, cheap orange juice and bread. The breakfast room was dated and the decor was cheap. When arrived to the reception no one was there, had to ring the bell several times, walked around and after a while finally somebody appeared.
Cons: NO elevator and had to go to the second floor which in real life for American standards is the 3rd floor with luggage and nobody to help you out. Supposed to be a restaurant, since was full on a Friday night we decided to eat there. What a bad decision... the hamburger meat was raw and the fried calamari didn't taste good. Calamari without salad, or fries or anything on the side. Disappointing experience.

Pros: Room was very big and spacious, breakfast was ok. The location was great, right in Avila city center and next to the cathedral.

Pros: Location was superb! We had very comfortable stay. I was very ill in the night and the hotel organised for a doctor to come and give me treatment in the morning so I am very pleased they were able to help.
Cons: The bar area could have more atmosphere as it’s part of large cafeteria. There is a lovely salon next door where the bar could be located for more sophisticated feel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location in Avila. Right beside the cathedral. Easy walk to all the other attractions. We only stayed for one night so the location was the important. Very friendly staff.

Pros: Stunning hotel. Bathroom was nearly as big as some hotel rooms I have stayed in! No noise at all from other guests. Free safe for your valuables and small drinks fridge in room. Worth paying a bit more for this place if you can get booked as very busy hotel.
Cons: Not a lot to be honest.
