Minoa Hotel

The location is very good (about 10 minutes from the railway station), the staff are friendly and very helpful (Thank you Valentina!), breakfast was OK, each room has a balcony, and it was within walking distance from many of the sites (30 min or less). The National Archaeological Museum is about a 15 minute walk. A metro stop is also right around the corner for your convenience. A clean restaurant, Alexander the Great, is within five minutes from the door. Good food at a good price.

Double bed=2 singles pushed together. No matter what I tried, I would wake up in the middle of the night stuck between the mattresses. The rooms, albeit clean, could use some necessary updates. Although the rooms are all nonsmoking, you can definitely tell this was a more recent decision. The positives outweighed the negatives though.

Very friendly and helpful service. Felt like dealing with old friends. Gave good information for dealing with our travels.

Do enjoy a comfortable chair. Non in the room. But lobby was comfy.

The area is strife with pick pockets and homeless people not a place to wander alone at night if a solo traveller. The chairs in the lobby are very shabby ,gives a poor first impression of the hotel. Kettle in the room would have been nice.
