Service was awesome. Spa was amazing I got. Dinner at sunset terrace & Edison was wonderful!
Rooms were just a little tired..but bathroom was updated.
Location awesome. Staff super nice.
WiFi horrible. Over billed at both a restaurant and spa until pointed it out. Facilities seemed run down.
Kayak Screwed me up - I loved the Omni - Not Kayak
I tried to upgrade my room to a spa room, it was double the price, but I wanted to experience the spa. The third party booking agent would not allow me to change my reservation even though The Grove Park would. I won't be using Kayak again.
Loved the property it was so beautiful and well kept!
The "valet" and front parking area is a little clustered but overall its OK
The staff is extremely accommodating and the property is beautiful
The rooms vary greatly! This isn't an issue unless they are all over priced. We had 4 rooms last weekend - all around 400$ a night. They were all different sizes because parts of the hotel are different. The room in the old part of the hotel was barely large enough to walk around a queen size bed.
exceptional customer service and Facilities
Terrible!!! Don't believe the pictures online.
It was unique and historical.
It was not what was depicted on the Internet. We were deceived and no one seemed to care. It was dirty, small, and not the romantic get a way we had hoped for to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We called to verify that the pool was included. It was but the pictures online were of the spa pool not the fitness club pool which was $140 more. Instead we spent our visit in the fitness pool. Barley luke warm, filled with screaming kids and no hot tub.
I love the location and ambience of the resort. You definitely need to have an extra stash of money for the parking and resort fees. Not to mention taxes on the resort fees. But the staff and views from this resort are amazing. There are amazing places very close, food ,shopping , sites to see. I would go back as often as possible.
The hotel lobby and the grounds
It was a grade lower than when I stayed 10 years ago.
Wonderful Weekend Getaway!
We loved everything about our stay at the Grove. The staff was amazing, professional and polite. The food and drinks were top notch. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
The room was a bit hot at night even after lowering the temperature in the room.
Outdated Room
The hotel is beautiful and the views are stunning. Just walking into the lobby is immediately calming.
I was very disappointed (and embarrassed, as staying here with a friend was my suggestion) with the room we were given. It had outdated wallpaper and green carpet, and the furniture was pretty beat-up. The bathroom was spacious, but had a tiny pedestal sink with nowhere for any toiletries. We had to keep all makeup, brushes, toothbrushes, etc on the dresser in the room. The bathroom looked like a hospital bathroom. There were 2 dim lamps in the room, with no mirror (except what looked like a medicine cabinet in the bathroom and a full- length mirror on the bathroom door - not helpful without good lighting). Not comfortable accommodations for two girls getting ready for dinner. Thankfully the beds were very comfortable. We spent over $300 for the room, which truthfully wasn't as nice as the La Quinta I stayed at 2 weeks ago. Based on other reviews, I am sure that there are more updated rooms available. I would insist on being assigned one of those. I will definitely be back to enjoy the beauty of the hotel, but will not be staying there again until they make some much needed updates.
