Very comfortable bedding, lots of hot water, good security. Street side gate that required being buzzed in by staff. Not a bother, felt very safe. Well maintained very pretty garden courtyard. Great Argentine restaurant next door.
There was a tiny basket of treats, water bottle, small wine bottles. I would have expected it to be restocked by the maid. I had to stop by the office and buy another water bottle. Not a big deal. Not much to dislike here.
Pictures looked much nice than reality.
not really value for money, rooms were very dark, needed the lights in the room during the day time.
Comfy bed, dog friendly, use of pool and sauna at sister hotel nearby. Front desk Julio was pleasant and helpful.
Cons:My early check in request wasnt honored. All rooms were vacant when I arrived at noon and was told I needed to wait until 3p when my room could have been cleaned sooner. When I entered the room the bathroom smelled like mold.Front porch area of room was filthy and I had to request to have it cleaned. Front desk named Brian didnt initially give me keys to my room, when I asked if the second key was for the front door of the building he said yes when it was indeed not. Requested late check out, was told that was fine. When I came back to check in I was told I had to pay for a late check out. I had to get on the phone with management to get a late checkout with no additional fees since I couldn't get an early check in and wasnt told there was a fee for late checkout.. No breakfast included.Very dark room with no sunlight. Pros: Nice terrace, good location
The hotel is very pretty. Regular rooms were about the same sizes as everywhere else in this town. The room my girlfriend and I booked, however, was very spacious. The staff at the hotel were amazing: friendly, polite, and helpful. The hotel itself has a beautiful inner garden with a fountain. There is coffee and tea 24/7 with tables in the courtyard both downstairs and upstairs. Also, the hotel is right next door to a really nice Guatemalan shop with handmade things and souvenirs. I would rate the hotel location as a plus because it is in a safe area but 3-4 blocks away from the center (and the noise of people, bars, and cars).
I was not happy with how noisy the hotel is. One can hear people talking outside their rooms. They are not particularly noisier than any other hotel I stayed in Antigua. The fountain helped dilute the noise during the day. Also, the washing machines were run from 7 am every day like a clock.
