The staff made my stay worth it. BobbyJo was incredibly helpful and I would say the same of Jay.The extra security was good for piece of mind.
For the price I can't complain and the deposit seems a bit much but understandable. The area could use some work
Nothing.
They could have honored my reservation instead of forcing me to find another hotel at 1am.
Rooms were tidy and organized.
Very small space in rooms. Bathroom is tiny. Door in the bathroom was very hard to shut. Construction was being done at the location.
$35 room was as expected
Clean facilities - definitely dated but the tub caulk was white and clean, surprisingly high shower head (I'm tall), plenty of hot water. Let's face it, you get what you pay for. We just needed a sleep stop while on a long road trip and this did the trick. Comfortable beds and warm room. Got what I paid for and what was advertised for the most part.
The couple of transients trashing the waffle bar for the continental breakfast in the lobby, then going out to panhandle were a little disconcerting. One guy started yelling at the front desk guy over a $5 key deposit ( he was trying to scam the clerk). The clerk handled it like a champ and was patient but firm but I thought the guy was going to get ugly. I didn't feel my son and I were unsafe until the upset guy got aggressive in time. We were all relieved that he left. There was gross trash all over the waffle bar and that was off putting - but the waffles were surprisingly good :) the hair dryer didn't work in the room and there was a strange smell when we turned he heater on (not the usual heater smell) but like I said it was all as expected and advertised as far as comfort and clean in the room itself.
Trouble with late check-in
Room was clean, love the kitchen.
I had a difficult experience with after hours check-in. The phone was not working, so I had to call their customer assistance number. The woman there spent about 15 minutes calling the night assistant to no avail, so she called the hotel manager who contacted the night assistant. After being checked in our room keycard didn't work so we had to go back and be switched to a new room. Quite a difficult ordeal after a long day of driving!
Dirty
Easy freeway access
The tub was moldy and cracked and the cold water didn't work so you had an option of lava or no shower
Major water damage under the tub, as you stepped in it feel like to floor could give way!
Very quiet and easy to check in
The complimentary breakfast was a joke it's just a waffle maker and some honey buns the drink machine was even out of order and you can't bring food back to your room
