Everything. pool had grime around it. Hotel looks like it has not been updated in 50 years. Restaurant closed at night and free breakfast was not worth price. Smoke detector had no battery. TV remote did not work. Shower was sad. Wallpaper peeling. One elevator did not work. Felt like I was in the hotel from the shining.
Overall everything was poor
Staff unfriendly. Not clean. Elevators broken and had to walk outside with stairs. Bad smell. Dirty
A staff member rudely knocked on my door at midnight demanding proof that I had paid for the room. When I refused to open the door the person coursed at us. The front counter denied that anyone knocked on the door. No apology or tried to find out what happened. Really a scary incident. Never again with such an unprofessional people.
The rooms were dated, unkept, and did not match the images at online at all. The hotel had a musty smell in the lobby and other various odors throughout rooms and hallways. Our original room was moved due to a foul smelling odor. However, our accommodations went from a king to two doubles in a room that still had holes in the walls and towels with dirt and stains on them. Spoke to management regarding complaints, will not be returning.
Dirty, toilet didn’t work, keys didn’t work, pubic hair stuck to TV re
Filthy. Reserved a room for 4 people. Showed up and they didn’t have a room to fit us all. Toilet didn’t work, room wasn’t clean, keys worked intermittently.
No hot water in first room and no control of heat in second room.
Terrible Experience - Don't Go Here
A man walked into our room with his own key card. Apparently, the incompetent staff gave him the same room after we had already been there for 6+ hours. We were given a new room that night. The next morning, I asked them to check our old room to see if we had left a bottle of shampoo. The staff member went to our NEW room and told my partner she was not supposed to be there. My partnered yelled at her and said that they had put her in this room because someone walked into our original room. The staff member then said, "oh sorry" and walked away instead of engaging with my partner and explaining to her that she meant to go to our old room. The staff member, when she came back down to me at the front desk, told me she went to the wrong room but didn't tell me about the encounter with my partner. My partner told me when I got back to our room and I got upset. So I called and asked why she told her she was in the wrong room. The staff member said she didn't recognize her voice as the person who was on the phone with her?! At this point, I was tired of the incompetence and confusion, so I demanded something be done to rectify our frustrations. The staff member said she'd reach out to the manager to see what could be done, and would call me back. She never called me back. I went to the front desk again hours later to ask if she heard from the manager. I told my partner to just go to the room while I deal with it. My partner came back after 3 minutes because her card key didn't work. The staff member said she didn't hear back from the manager, and instead just gave us two free drinks at the bar and a free appetizer for our troubles. While this entire experience pretty terrible, the only credit I'll give is for the staff member who took it upon herself to do SOMETHING even though her manager was MIA. I appreciated the effort. That aside, incompetence permeates this place. I would never recommend going... at least not at this location.
Front Desk people should be more courteous.
Location was ok.
The bathroom was filthy with hair all over the floor and shower. Hallways were dirty with bags of soiled linens along the wall still at 5pm. Room had a peculiar odor. Booked a king size room-got 2 double. I will not stay here again.
Badly needs renovation
Location was good near highway
It was dark and dirty . There were obvious prostitutes in and out and the hallways were disgust ion and reeked of smoking even in non smoking area .
The room was clean. However, the lock on our door did not work, so we were moved to another room. The lock on our second door barely worked. The staff seemed apathetic. The plumbing was very, very slow. We have stayed here many times in the past with good result. Overall, we had a disappointing stay this time.
Proximity to the major highway with easy access to downtown Albany
Room was clean
Breakfast is not that good. A lot of garbage are also produced.
Location, staff & clean - food in restaurant was good as well. Great free breakfast!
Room was very spacious, ample parking out the front of the hotel, reception staff very helpful and provided directions to local mall on request. Restaurant in hotel was excellent with again very helpful and friendly staff. Pool was good and was empty of swimmers for the hour we sat down there in the evening. We were transferred to this hotel when the one we had provisionally booked in through this website was permanently closed and empty when we arrived, but the staff at booking.com were helpful and informed the Ramada that we were coming, and we were pleasantly surprised when we finally arrived there.
Breakfast was not that amazing but fair for the price of the hotel.
Quick access to city area or suburbs. Free full (not continental) breakfast.
The staff was very courteous and quick to taking care of making our stay as comfortable as possible. This included those on duty both day and night.
the room service was great and very quick, reasonably priced. great wine list. liked that you had a swimming pool but wasn't aware of it before we arrive, so i forgot my bathers. bar tender was wonderful.
no fruit for breakfast.
Dirty, ugly, blood on the curtains and absolutely aweful
restaurants not so close
The whole place smelled of mildew. The bathtub was coming off the wall.
The internet and swimming pool facilities
I did not have a car. Albany was a break in a train journey between Buffalo and New York. Consequently the hotel was too far out of town. However for business users with a car it is well located. In the morning the clerk told me there was nothing to sign but I realised latrer I did not have a proper itemized bill
