Very pleased with overall stay
Bed is incredibly comfy, room is spacious and washroom(shower) very clean. The staff very courteous and professional
Breakfast was included and adequate, more options would be nice.
Perfect for show at The Palace
Ideal location for seeing a show at The Palace. Valet guys and front desk were super friendly and accomodating. A+
Location - close to the 'downtown' area where some restaurants were actually open at 9 pm - Albany is a sleepy town...four downhill blocks from the egg, conference center and capitol - OK to walk around
no pool, web site incorrectly states no parking fee, whereas the 15 USD are un-avoidable, standard breakfast, expensive per night, even during the week, overpriced to cater to the business folks...
Close to great bars and restaurants
I thought the parking fee was included, it is not. But it's only $15 , so no big deal .
Night at the Palace Theatre
We were attending a show at the Palace Theatre and the hotel was conveniently close by. The hotel was nice, clean, and provided a good selection at the complimentary breakfast.
Pay for parking
The Hampton Inn facility and staff was excellent
When I showed up the hotel did not have my reservation as it was never forwarded by the booking company. The hotel and all others around downtown were sold out. No other suitable options could be found and I was left to find a hotel several miles away on my own. A very poor experience with Kayak and hotels.com
Chilly but still way above average.
Extremely easy to get to off the highway. As soon as we entered the lobby we were impressed with the hotel. It was fairly luxurious compared to anything we had seen in this modest price range. There were two very rapid moving elevators, a beautiful room with only one drawback. The room temperature was set at 66 when we walked in, and it took a while to get the heat up to 72, which was as high as we got it to go, despite setting it at 75. The breakfast was very good. Lots of choices as expected, including fresh fruit, make your own waffles, hot sausages, omelettes and home fries. Many cereals and other fare. The staff was excellent, calling into our room after a short time to see how we were doing. I would DEFINITELY stay there again should the need to go to Albany arise.
The typical wall unit for a/c and heat found in virtually all hotels these days took its time to warm up the room.
Needed a place to accommodate family for Thanksgiving week. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly, the lounge and restaurant were great, and breakfast was delicious. Plus they cleared the snow off our car in valet.
The night we stayed wasn't very busy, so we were upgraded from a 2 Queen Standard to a 2 Queen Suite for no additional cost. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, and free breakfast was substantial.
Location, good breakfast and breakfast takeaway. Good staff, nice restaurant. One of only two good downtown hotels.
Entrance to restaurant: seems dark and uninviting, actually i thought it was closed from outside.
Excellent service by front desk staff, particularly Steve, who went out of his way to be of assistance. Made the stay more than a chain hotel even
