Exceptional
Due to Covid-19 the PortoBay Marques Hotel was closed, so I was upgraded without any additional cost to the nearby PortoBay Liberdadd Hotel. The stay there was simply great and a perfect finish for my vacation in Portugal. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were clean with super comfortable rooms. The hotel itself is just a few meters from the metro station and a c. 15-20 minutes walk from praça de comercio. Can definitely recommend for another stay
Great hotel, very clean!
The room was great, the staff were friendly. Everything is super clean.
The breakfast was bland and didn't taste too good.
breakfast staff were excellent and very helpful good location
pool very small

Would highly recommend this hotel! We stayed for 2 nights in March 2020. We especially appraciated the location (15 mins walk from the center), but most importantly the exceptionally friendly staff! They were all very warm, welcomming and helpfull. A great experience! Will definitly stay there again at our next visit.

The staff were helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable a about restaurants and getting around
Initial room allocation was clearly a single room not really a double. Helpful staff sorted this out as quickly as they could.

The hotel is in an amazing location and at a walking distance of the most popular places. The bedroom I stayed in had a lovely sitting room to relax at the end of the day. It’s a very good choice if you’re in Lisbon!
Breakfast is very poor and it needs improvement. It’s worth having breakfast somewhere close by. The cleaners sometimes forget to change towels, and I’ve heard one of them hugging puffing while doing the bed. Not very pleasant.
The best location in Lisbon!

No the accomadation was poor and it states bathroom on the booking and yet no bath in the bathroom and when requested i was charged an extra 60 euros which is an absolute disgrace and robbery . You also advertise free toiletries and yet they are large dispensers that you cant reach or refils that previous guests have used which are completely un hygenic especially in light of the ongoing virus epedemic!
Attentive and professional staff
Not a lot of options for room service. Room a bit dark.
Excellent location, out of hussle and bussle, can uber in the evening or walk. The staff were excellent and the room was modern and clean.
We had a standard room - it was very small. However it was a lovely room with a good bathroom and aircon so no complaints!
The location was great especially if catching any tours with the sightseeing busses starting nearby. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Room was very clean and neat. Lots of extras including slippers and gowns. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good supply of coffee, teas etc. I always buy my own milk and there was a fridge to keep it fresh. Breakfast was good. Great variety of hot and cold food. Arranged taxi to airport at good cost of £16 for two of us. Definitely recommend. We were upgraded on arrival.
Could have a few more hangers in wardrobe. Only had 4 in the wardrobe.
Excellent location within walking distance from the main attractions. Easily accessible and shops all around.
All was good
The bed was firm and comfortable. Really good A/C in a nice and quiet room. Everything was very clean and tidy. Staff was really great and helpful.
Shower door had some water leaking and pooling outside, and was a little annoying, but it can be easily overlooked.
Well placed in the city, clean and friendly staff.
Nothing really
Convenient location, friendly staff, got upgraded during the winter, good selection at breakfast!
The staff were outstanding bar one person who could do with some additional training. It's a perfectly sized hotel that has enough staff to allow people to offer assistance with sight seeing, minding luggage and transportation with a smile on their face and superb English.
I couldn't fault the hotel for a really comfortable stay apart from having some additional overhead lighting in the room.
location.
Very small room. Carpet flor in 2020? awful nigh suffering from allergies. For the money the would expect a lot more.
Excellent facilities, dependable Portobay brand
Room was very small
I came back as I had a great stay last year everyone and everything as been perfect
Very good option to be in Lisbon city center. Close to most of the attractions and close to the exit of Avenida Libertade, to be able to drive away from the center and out of the city
Excellent base to tour Lisbon, quiet away from the hustle and bustle but near enough to walk everywhere. We never vaught the metro but it was less than 200m away. The staff were super friendly and the lobby area was an excellent meeting place.
Nothing really
I don't understand why they don't use on the paper, spanish. They translate on 4 different languages but not spanish.
Location and friendly helpful staff.

Friendly staff, location, ambience and decor.
Fast visit, would have loved to spend more time.
Location and breakfast
Breakfast was excellent. Breakfast staff were lovely with our five year old son. Safe car park.
Excellent facilities and lovely staff
Slightly dirty in the sink area and old milk
Well maintained hotel, great amenities, great staff, overall an excellent experience I will definitely stay here again when I am back in Lisbon.

Excellent location, amazingly helpful and professional staff, very clean room. Everything was just perfect! We will definitely go back!!!

Great and pleasant staff. We got the room at 11am even though the official check-in time is 2pm. Very helpful after a night of flying. The location of the hotel is very convenient for discovering the city by foot. The room is maintained to a very high standard. Great room and very spacious. The beds are very comfortable. Quiet street.
It will be nice to have more available electrical outlets in the room (for charging phones, laptops, etc.).
The location is excellent.
No issues
Everything I don't know why there is an unhappy face as i rated our stay 10...thanks a lot we felt like home
Excellent location, 2 minutes from metro station. Very spacious room and bathroom (we got upgrade from standard one). There is everything you need in the room to have breakfast or just relax wit tea, coffee or wine. Lovely personnel, ready to help and advice. Extremely clean.
The windows are facing inner yard with lots of conditioning equipment and office building where people work from early morning, so opening windows and curtains isn't really an option. Sauna didn't work, and we were not told that it needs pre-heating ordered in advance.
A super hotel in a lovely location in a fabulous city . The restaurant at the hotel was great & we also loved our dinner at Bistro4 at the sister PortoBay hotel.
This well placed property was our base for our first trip to Portugal. The rooms were great! Front Desk staff was super helpful. Even sorting out the botched reservation of someone in our group.
The dining room staff was unfriendly, inattentive and very slow
We were upgraded to a junior suite. The beds were comfy, the room spotlessly clean and spacious. The roof terrace was excellent for post sightseeing relaxation. Close to the metro.

Location amazing rooftop pool fantastic honesty bar dreamy!
Room had no bedside table on one side and couldn’t get out of bed without climbing over to other side. A minor thing as the hotel couldn’t be faulted.
The whole experience was great. From the friendly, and helpful staff ( especially Joanna ), to the comfortable rooms. Great location.
Can’t think of a thing.
It would be good if breakfast was included
Prefer no music around the roof lounge / pool area
Great self-serve bar in rooftop. Pool is refreshing for a hot summer day and hotel is walking distance to some high-end shops.
Nothing
Hotel was lovely, clean and staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the honesty bar on the terrace!
The hotel hotel is very well located and comfortable. The location is excellent near the tube station and lot of thing to do in a walk distance. There is a sun terrace which is not comum is the area.
The staff was not always welcoming.
The staff was excellent. They were all very accommodating.
excellent breakfast. Good location. Close to Hop on first station.
The "smiming pool" is not realy a pool. Very smal. However, nice place to rest on the top roof.
I love the decor of the hotel. It’s very modern but warm. The staff spoke excellent English and went above and beyond to please. The restaurant was so so and they were a little obnoxious. Don’t recommend it. But the area is the best location!! All three metros cross very nearby!! It was a nice stay!!
Restaurant was so so
We luckily got upgraded to a suite which was amazing. Excellent staff- the receptionists gave useful suggestion for sightseeing route. The housekeeping was exceptionally efficient.
The breakfast restaurant was a bit stuffy.
It was clean and well-equipped. The staff was friendly, efficient and quick to accommodate our needs!
The bed was excellent and room very spacious
Expected a larger, cooler pool
Location was great, very easy to get to the main tourist attractions - close enough to be in the thick of things but quiet at night. We had a fab family room which had a balcony so we felt like we had a lot of space. The reception team were super helpful and offered some good advice for getting around - which helped us settle into our routine realy well.
The staff were very friendly and we loved the location!
It was great!
Brilliant staff and facilities. Worth every penny
It was very clean and well appointed. The rooms looked like they were new and very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom.
The rooftop bar was never open
Pool and clean
Too far out from where we were going
Lots of variety at breakfast and catered for my friend who is gluten free! Staff were so helpful and they even upgraded us to a Junior suite as we were a party of 3!
Clean. Smart. Good rooms. Comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Would stay again
Nothing
Lovely staff really helpful
Staff facilities in room
Outstanding staff who were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Superb facilities, although unfortunately we didn't get to use them as often as I would have liked.

Lovely staff
Nice staff and clean, comfortable room.
I asked to have the shower repaired as it was not functioning well but it wasn’t repaired in time.
Extremely comfortable beds, lovely roof top plunge pool with very comfortable loungers and a bar too. Lovely Rituals products in bathroom. Fab lounge area downstairs. Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean.
Great staff. Superb service. Great breakfast. LGood location right by a metro station.
Nothing
Rooftop terrace was nice. Location was excellent.
Breakfast was just ok.
Lovely room and staff, felt very well looked after.
It was the perfect luxury hotel for short city break in Lisbon, very central, just a short 10/15 minute walk to train station, centre and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. On arrival we were upgraded to superior room which was lovely surprise.
Nothing
Great location, nice hotel , close to metro station only few minutes walking distance. Rooftop and bar is excellent
Location excellent, Gym facility was good although steamroom was out of use. Sunbathing area and pool were also very useful.
Accommodation is a little bit expensive and drinks were also quite expensive.
Good location, helpful staff, good breakfast
Pool isn't really a pool. Very small to call it a pool
We found all the staff extremely helpful, particularly those on the front desk who helped us plan our day trips and gave advice on local restaurants too. We were upgraded to a Classic room that was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, and quiet. Sadly we didn’t make use of the rooftop pool as we were out till late most days making the most of the delights of Lisbon
It would have been useful to have bottled water left in the room for each night of our stay as we struggled on our way home in the evenings to find somewhere to purchase bottles for the night.
Loved the small roof top terrace which is super for having a little chill out in the sun if the weather is nice, there are about 12 sunloungers and a super plunge pool, there quite a few stairs up to it so not great if you have real mobility problems. You can ring a little bell if you wish someone to bring a drink up. It was very chic in the lobby, but not the facilities of a 5* hotel. Room was super for me it was disabled accommodating which was great, and love the Bluetooth radio/speakers/coffee and tea making facilities and ultimately a good hairdryer !! The location is right at the top of the Avenida da Liberdade (street behind) in a fairly quiet area, round corner from Max Mara ( if you know your shops on the Avenida). So as I have to use a crutch I have to get an Uber/My Taxi into the main area, but super if you are happy to walk everywhere /metro etc. It delivered above expectations for me. Staff at front desk, if not sometimes very busy. and the concierge were super helpful.
Nothing really as we were only there for one night post a cruise.
A little disturbed they charged us for breakfast the morning our red eye arrived even though we didn’t get to have our “included” breakfast this morning because of our airline connections. Never had that happen before anywhere
beautiful small hotel, great location
everything was fine
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable There was a rooftop pool
The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests so there could be queues for tables.
Good location. Nice and pleasant personnel who cares about your comfortable stay in the hotel. Room is comfortable with almost everything you need during your holiday in Lisbon, though not very spacious. If you are not in business trip, I suggest having breakfast each morning in a different place - just google to find something tasty nearby.
We stayed in a junior suite. It was well laid out. Plenty of room. Staff were very friendly.
Nothing really
Location and friendly atmosphere and staff
Room was rather small.
Excellent warm nice staff at the reception desk. Clean, confortable room. Good facilities included. Good position to explore the city by foot. Close to metro station.
No view from my room. Kind of dark. Window facing a wall.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, good location and staff was helpfull. foo, was the right size. breakfat was very very good
Bellboy took 20 Euros and when asked for change from him gave me 5 closed the door in my face and walked away ligt in the room isnt strong enough a little far from the center

Very helpful staff Nice breakfast Perfect location Clean room
Modern, clean, good location
Noise on 6th floor with terribly loud door slams and cleaning staff loud early
The breakfast was nice the staff the location
There was no expression coffeee machine in room
Other than everything being above and beyond, the staff are truly a stand out part of this hotel. I've never experienced such caring and helpful staff in any other hotel. Does not have a chain hotel feel, and really makes you feel at home from the first day. Kudos to everyone at the reception and the rest of the staff.
Nothing, hotel is exceptional.
Staff, location, cleanliness excellent. We were even upgraded to a bigger room at check-in for free.
Lighting in the rooms could be improved, additional options for breakfast could be added.
Every staff member was friendly, helpful, genuine and knowledgeable. We were upgraded to superior rooms, which were excellent!
The location is excellent, right next to the metro station at Marques de Pombal, which makes access to the Airport and the rest of the city very easy, but it is far enough from the nightlife to still be quiet. The staff were fantastic and full of ideas about where to go. We did not have the breakfast as we felt that 15 euros was a bit steep and there are a lot of cafes close by to get a coffee and breakfast for less. However, we did have dinner one night and found the food and service to be excellent and very reasonably priced. We were staying for my wife's 40th birthday and the staff put together (at short notice) a beautiful cake made up of doughnuts, muffins, cream and fruit. Our whole group were given upgrades to 'superior rooms' which were fantastic. The rooftop terrace is lovely in the sunshine, although the pool could have done with being a bit warmer, and the honesty bar is a great idea. The sauna and steam room were also fantastic. Overall the hotel and staff were amazing and I will definitely stay here again, I would have no hesitation in staying in any PortoBay hotel based on my experience here.
Not much. The pool was a bit cold for a 'heated' pool and it is blocked from the sun by a large wall which doesn't help. 15 euros is a bit steep for breakfast but that can be avoided by eating in one of the many local cafes.
Service and comfort outstanding
Breakfast not as good as many similar hotels
It's a fairly good hotel though it seems more focused on business travelers than leisure travelers
The facilities are really poor when you look at what's offered online i.e. gym, sauna, steam room, etc.
The bed was super comfortable. The people working the front desk were nice to me at every turn (from check-in, looking for directions, check-out). The location was ideal since I opted to either walk or take the underground metro (literally around the corner). And to top it all off, the sauna was lovely as well!
Everything
Loved this place. All the people were very friendly.
Alles was super inorde
I like the speaker in the room. I like how they put alot of magazines and information card in the room. And the info card, magazines are all well designed. I like the theme color blue chosen by the hotel. The staffs at breakfast area were very friendly. Breakfast was good too.
The design of the closet and the door of the toilet is not fashionable and looks abit old. There is no view from my room.
The quality of the WiFi was extremely poor for a 4-star hotel. I had a lot of work to do during my stay and kept getting kicked off the WiFi and needing to restart the internet connection multiple times.
Great location with quality amenities for exploring Lisbon
The staff were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location was great with easy access to the Metro .The rooms were very modern with top rate comforts from bed to bathrooms .Nice restaurant and spa on site..
Very poor service.
The breakfast was excellent. Served in comfortable surrounds with a very good range of food and good service.
The room we were allotted was a little small but relatively comfortable. In this regard we are completely ignoring the bathroom. The bath was blocked and we requested that this be un-blocked and cleaned 3 times. My wife then discovered dried blood spattered on the bathroom floor. As it was a marble floor the blood was difficult to see, but rubbing with a tissue soon exposed the problem. It was quite obvious that the floor had not been washed and cleaned thoroughly. After a bitter complaint to the service desk on our last night we were given another room. The Manager was not available to talk to us as it was the weekend!!
