Pros (+) Did not get breakfast and the bed was pretty ccomfortable. Pillow could have been better. Did not have extra pillows or blankets in the room. Overall great place to stay.

Pros (+) Waterpark for kids
Cons (-) Heat in Waterpark - kiddy pool was coldest pool they had. Information was wrong in room binder. No one came to clean the room or replace dirty towels - had to call and ask.

Cons (-) Tried to cancel on Wednesday for a Saturday stay more then 72 notice was given. Chula Vista would not refund $250 we are disputing the charge with a Expedia & our cc company. This canceled visit was due to a due weather & not our fault it was due to a large spring snow storm more than 8”-12” of snow for a outdoor soccer tournament that was canceled on that Wednesday. Pros (+) We never really got to enjoy any of the sights as we were just passing through and got a great deal on an overnight stay. We were very impressed with all the things to do and the fact you received arm bands to the many different sights without additional charges.
Cons (-) The location was a little surprising when we came in after dark. Not a discouragement though.

Pros (+) The outdoor hot tub was a nice feature close to the building.
Cons (-) Our room was not clean (burnt out lightbulb, light fixture full of dust, tile floor not clean and mirrors full of toothpaste or other spots), beds were old and saggy in the middle, cabinets door was no longer square and room boasted a patio but had a shared deck with other rooms. Pros (+) Clean and organized.
Cons (-) The indoor water park was too small and not enough tables for families to sit. We were lucky that the place was not busy, otherwise, it would have been very difficult for the kids to play and have a good time.

    The Chula Vista Resort has 8 different packages you can choose from for a birthday party. Starting with simple Door Decoration at $20 for an intimate celebration in your room, if you have a few attendees you can choose the Tunnel Party Package for $85 which gives you the Kids HQ space for 2h, or the Splash Package for $150 which gives you a larger space for 4h. Food can be added on as a themed package such as Dino or Unicorn, or as separate add on items a la carte.

  • Does the Chula Vista Resort have any activities that are suitable for kids?

    Your kids will love spending time at the Kids Activities Center, where they can meet other children their age and participate in fun activities such as Lego Watch and Play, Slime Time, Daily Coloring Contest and Movie Nights. Activities change on a daily basis, and you can ask the front desk for the full Activities Schedule. If you are looking for an activity you can do as a family, head to the Miniature Golf Course which has 18 holes and provides guaranteed fun for hours. Opening times vary depending on the day, but it usually opens as early as 9:00 am and closes as late at 10:00 pm.
