Was very average powered eggs I think not good
The even meals were a disgrace; value for money NO. The times for meals were to early and we were refused a meal even though we were in their time bracket. I was over charged for a set meal by £20 which was nothing to right home about, the evening buffet was very poor. As I had booked this for my wife's birthday and all we could get was a poor curry and a dried out pie and veg no gravy. The staff were not very helpful when it came to meals. I now know why the restaurant was empty.
The bed was so comfy. Had a perfect sleep. Really good breakfast aswell.
Although the breakfast was spot on. We found that other meal preferences where not up to scratch.
Large room, good working shower, good to be able and to open the windows. Lots of outdoor space and central to various town centres.
I walked in and immediately told my husband (without knowing for sure) that this was previously a nursing home. He asked me why I thought this. I told him I could smell it, because I remember my grandmother lived in a nursing home for a small period of time and i tend to have a sensitivity for smells. It made me feel uneasy at first, but it did get better after the windows in our had been opened for while. It’s such a lovely property and a good location but I would strongly recommend the management think of a makeover to the rooms and and interior - then it would be the perfect accomodation.
Easy access to local attractions.
Facilities are very old. Unpleasant smell throughout the building due to the carpets which are very old. Staff are miserable, the place feels like old people's home. Tiles in bathroom had cracks, beds uncomfortable. Very neglected hotel
Nice beds Grounds looked great but too wet to go outside Loved the the dogs in the property
