Excellent choice of hotel, beautiful views
Waited 20 minutes for a receptionist to appear to check me in. First room had a droning noise, 2nd room was a bit better but a distance away from and in a dull basement area. Hotel is in need of a facelift if the are to continue charging these prices.
The hotel is nothing like the pictures advertised on your web site. Room 123 mold on windows cracked window pains freezing cold worn old furniture dirty carpets. Bathroom hole in ceiling so light hanging down. Then room 29 big room absolutely freezing had to get in bed to stay warm. Loud banging noise of a sliding door below us that made the room shake. Heater in bathroom did not work, so was unable to shower because of how cold the room was. When we left the guy on reception did not ask if we had a nice time or if everything was ok, probably used to complaints. He was on his mobile phone and did not even look up.
Nothing apart from the view. Close the hotel and refurbish it. Then retrain staff.
Awful. Room we were given was full of damp, cobwebs and dead spiders (have photo evidence). Went downstairs to ask for new room and didn’t even get an apology of male manager. A new set of keys threw at me as if I was an inconvenience. Customer service was pretty poor. Whole hotel needs refurbishing as it is in a very bad state of repair. Also could not help but notice the building throughout was not fire compliant with lack of doors and some smoke detectors covered and not working. The hotel needs a full inspection as it is not fit for purpose.
The location was good for our needs
The staff were rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was only served between 8-10
