really friendly staff especially George on the reception very informative. The hotel is cosy and the bedrooms decorated to a very high standard
Having to leave!!!
Excellent food and service
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the warm feeling the inn had.
Restaurant facilities were fine and food was good. Although we were phoned 2 days prior to our stay to arrange a table for dinner at 8.30pm it was not ready until 8.55 pm although several tables were empty at this time. Bedside lights were unusual and very nice, freeing up space on the bedside cabinets.
Rooms are small and bathroom was not large enough for the bath with shower. Shower unit over-complicated and unwieldly. Little space left for maneouvres or hanging bath towels etc. For this price we expected better. Room was very clean and comfortable. We do not need the overt sales practices and they did not sit well with the overall ambience of the hotel!
recently refurbished, accommodation was excellently presented, open-plan restaurant with nice quality older style tables, chairs, couches etc and serving excellent food
Open fires were fab & staff were very friendly
The starter with the evening meal was served to us cold but it was soon rectified
The bathroom conditions> dirty / mouldy shower curtain
Friendly Staff, Good wine list and good menu choice.
staff were very freindly and accomodating
we were at first allocated a room which had unacceptable odour of damp, we complained and were immediately upgraded
Easy to park. Very spacious room. Backing onto 72 acres of woodland with access.
