Unfortunately, re my love of real ales. The real ales at the Wykeham Arms were terrible such that I went elsewhere to enjoy.
Full of character and very comfortable. Waiting and housekeeping staff were lovely. Breakfast was expensive but worth the money, fresh produce prepared well. Quiet at night, and in an exceptional location, picturesque and a short walk from all the main sights. Comfy mattress, room equipped with all the details.
The woman who checked me in and out was clearly over it, not everyone is made for front office. The single tap in the bathroom couldn’t decide which way was hot or cold. Small gripes, easily ignored.
Great location, nice clean room with all services one would need. Pub itself is very nice and offers a good selection of food and drinks, staff very friendly.
One improvement could be adding air conditioning in the rooms
The room.. The post box... Was beautiful, just to our taste... Fantastic to have good coffee and tea, water and beer in our room. The iron and ironing board was an added bonus.. The bed sheets towels location food... All excellent.. A fantastic atmosphérique place to stay...
Expensive breakfast. Light that crept underdoor due to lights on during night on landing.
Warm welcome, lovely room, perfect location and great food. Have been before and will be back again.
