Overview

A short way from the old centre of Udine, the Best Western Hotel Continental, Udine, Italy, is a smart four-star whose rooms add thoughtful touches like a pillow menu, a rain shower and a choice of mattress to the usual comforts. The motorway exit is a short drive off and the hospital close by, making it handy for both visitors and business. The historic centre is within easy reach. Udine is the graceful capital of Friuli, gathered around Venetian-style squares beneath a castle on a green hill. The arcaded Piazza Liberta is often called the loveliest Venetian square on the mainland, the Roman town of Aquileia and the Lombard treasures of Cividale del Friuli, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lie a short drive away, and the celebrated white wines of the Collio and Colli Orientali fill the hills rolling toward Slovenia. Adriatic beaches and the Julian Alps are both within reach. CIN Code: IT030129A1XZJ43TMO
