The whole set up was clean, comfortable and great location for quiet relaxation. Loved back porch looking into the woods but could see some water in the distance. Cedar Grill, had some good meals and super glad RUBIO (Blown glass and jeweler) was open as the couple who runs it are nicest people anywhere.
All was good! Just to bad Covid-19 has everyone on edge, to the point most of town is shut until further notice. Once it passes I will be taking the whole family next time.
We thought we'd try the pull out bed/couch on the third night just to have more room to sleep and there were lots of crumbs, so we closed it up quick! Did not use it! Was not clean! The bed on the left side had a sag from were people obviously sit to watch TV so sleeping on that side was so what uncomfortable. I put a pillow under the mattress to help support the sag. Bathroom fan did not work.
Nice spacious cabin. Was just 2 of us but could sleep 5. Private hot tub (small) was quite nice. Cabin was well equipped, good location, convenient parking.
Cabin was showing it’s years (no big deal, but floor was in rough shape). Biggest complaint was that they were in the process of digging out a spot for a new cabin (we got woken up by a backhoe which went on for hours) and we didn’t get any warning of it. The main goal of our weekend trip was to get away from the construction site that is currently beside our home. Had we been warned, we would have booked elsewhere because the peace and quiet of the island was what we were looking for!
Everything was great, it was nice to have a kitchen so we could cook for ourselves sometimes! Even if we did set off the alarm once haha the bathroom was great, a very nice deep tub with very hot water. The bed was super comfy, and so was the couch! We loved having a little deck in the back with a dining set and bbq. I particularly liked all the little ocean accents around the room, it really helped give it that cute cabin feel.
The only thing that was a little tough was cooking breakfast, there is no fan for the stove/oven, so cooking breakfast set off the smoke alarm quite a bit while we tried to fan it haha
Clean, quiet, open space , close to beaches, close to town, allows pets
Not even counter space/shelf, no view, bed wasn’t very comfortable
