Pros: The staff was amazing, food was so nice, room was comfy and clean whole experience 5*****
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing! Kien and Ha knew us all by name and nothing was too much trouble - our room was set up as a twin instead of a double and they overheard my disappointment when I opened the door and we were instantly offered a different room with a double bed and a spa bath! Every time we got back on the boat we were given a cold towel and a cold glass of juice/water.
Cons: The only down side is that you are constantly following other cruise boats but that's just how it is as the routes are prescribed to protect the environment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic trip with Huong Hai Sealife Cruise. We were upgraded to the Legend cruise for no extra charge which was amazing. From being collected at our hotel to boarding the ship it was very relaxed and well organised. Once aboard the ship we met the crew - Mr Jackie Pham, Minh, Rosie and Hana. All of the staff make this cruise extremely comfortable and memorable - the food, spa, itinerary and the route taken is superb. Regarding the food, Rosie and her team made sure that GlutenFree food was available as I am a Coeliac and they went above and beyond to do this. I couldn't recommend the cruise enough- a huge thanks to Mr Jackie for such a memorable time. Definitely would have done 2nights retrospectively!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The luxurious cabins. Beautifully furnished and spacious. Friendly and courteous staff. Fantastic meals and excursions.
Cons: That we could not stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed this cruise. All staff members were extremely nice, helpful and caring and they created friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. Cabin was clean, comfortable with private balcony and huge window, so you can admire the scenery from the bed.
Cons: If I have to mention something- bevarage are not included and are little overpriced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to the Sealife Legend Cruise which was a fantastic bonus!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The boat was gorgeous - spacious, clean, well looked after. I loved the sun deck and our room was really lovely and very well-equipped. The bed was huge and comfortable and the windows offered a great view. The shower was brilliant and had hot water and the spa bath was an extra treat (although it seemed to have not been used for a while!). The air con was great and it was lovely to have the option to sit out on our own balcony as well as going up to the sun deck with chairs and sun loungers. There was a wide selection of food, which was delicious and fresh. The trips off the boat and activities on the boat were really well organised. The kayaking was really fun and included an introductory demonstration for anyone who hadn't done it before. Viet and his team gave us an introductory talk when we landed at the cave and when we went to the fishing village, so we knew where we were and what we were seeing. In reality, you're on the boat for less than 24 hours, but the whole trip was really well organised and the staff were very friendly, helpful and kept us well-informed.
Cons: Once you book, there are a lot of extra charges - $25/ person for a return transfer from Hanoi, $10/ person for the kayaking trip and no drinks are included. I was disappointed about the amount of plastic being used on board - it is sad to see so much plastic floating in the bay, especially when we went out on the kayaks and into the fishing village. I would have hoped that companies operating in the bay would be doing more to help combat this, but plastic straws were served with drinks and the sale of water in plastic bottles was pushed - only at lunch on the first day and brunch on the second day was drinking water available, even then, when we just asked for a glass of water, we were not directed to the jugs available and instead they tried to sell us a plastic bottle. If we wanted water with our dinner or up on the sundeck, we had to buy a pricey plastic bottle. There were a couple of glass bottles of drinking water in our room, but making drinking water available in jugs/ glasses throughout the trip would be a big step towards helping reduce the amount of plastic being used. The journey to get there took a very long time - from being picked up at our hotel to arriving at the waiting area, it took 4 hours. We then had a further 45minute wait before boarding the boat. According to Google Maps, which I have found to be pretty accurate around the world, the journey should take about 2 hours 15 minutes. There was no traffic hold-ups and somehow the journey took over an hour longer than that. We mentioned it on our comments form and they tried to claim that Google maps wasn't accurate and that it was because the drivers took safety into consideration. On the transfer back (which took an hour less than our journey there), I tracked our journey on Google Maps and the route they use shows as over an hour longer than the suggested route on Google Maps. Be prepared for a lot of time sat in a mini van!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic time with a two night cruise on this boat. Kien, Viet, Ha and all the staff made it a great experience. Relaxing with great food, drinks and of course the scenery. The boat was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Contrary to other comments we have seen very little rubbish on the water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hospitality Great veg food
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff helpful and friendly. They treat you like princess. On board food was very good with choices for Breakfast. Facilities and room well maintained. Show on the evening, nice Music.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, funny and took excellent care of everyone on board. We stayed for 2 nights which meant we were able to experience a full day exploring the bay. This included kyaking to a remote beach, swimming in the bay and around the boat. It was a fantastic experience to have such an inconic natural wonder all to yourselves. I'd highly recommend doing the 3 day trip for this extra day as the other too are a tad rushed as you don't get onto the boat until 1pm on the first day and on the third day you check out at 9am.
Cons: Would have been nicer to have spent a tad longer on the third day on the boat? Maybe you could check out early so they can clean the room then be transfered onto a day boat. Bit of kyaking on day 3 Bay would have been bliss!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Day trip kayaking at the more remote areas was briljant, and I would recommend everyone to do a 3 day tour.
Cons: Not all staff can speak English, but Ving (Host) was an absolute lovely guy with great energy. They try to meet every need, very friendly!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and service was excellent. We went to areas that were not crowded and we felt like we were kyaking around and swimming in our own private bay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made the trip most enjoyable. Tim and Megan went out of their way to assist us on every occasion. Thanks to the team for an amazing experience.
Cons: Everything was perfect thanks to Tim and Megan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff - we had Timothy as our boat/tour manager who was very friendly and organized. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The itinerary was a perfect balance of staying busy with activities and relaxing and enjoying the views.
Cons: Food was just okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tim and his staff were fantastic. So organised and happy to go above and beyond. Wonderful cruise and nice boat.
Cons: There wasn't anything i didn't like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff are wonderful. Accomodation spacious and very comfortable. Lunch and dinner meals were excellent.
Cons: Breakfast egg station was disorganised.
6.8 Good
Pros: The attention of the staff and services. Everything was very confortable and the views of the bay are incredible
Cons: The restaurant was small and it hasn’t have any air conditioner. Ok
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excelent experience. In particularly to highlight the professional and caring staff.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super nice, helpful and professional. The boat is not as new as other boats that the company owns, but is in very good condition, like new. Food, except for the light breakfast, was quite good. The brunch was delicious. It doesn’t feel 100% like a 5 star bot, but would highly recommend it.
Cons: During the transfer from Hanoi, we stopped by a pearl farm for half an hour. There’s no need for this, no one in our bus needed the stop and no one was interested on buying pearls there. The trip to the cave is a bit short, you just see a tiny cabe and a tiny (but super nice) beach. I would make it half an hour longer and let people swim or kayak. The drinks could be a bit cheaper.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place took our breath away! The cruise was simply beautiful and the staff were so lovely, welcoming and enthusiastic the entire time ! We stayed for two nights and three days and I would say that this is a MUST! We noticed that the guests who only stayed the one night had a rushed schedule and only had time to visit the big tourist attractions that were flooded with people, however the two nights three days allows you to venture further out on the second day and see the true beauty of Halong bay with only a few people in sight! I would 100% recommend staying two nights as I think it would be a waste not too, we were able to kayak through a fishing village, walk through a cave to swim at a secluded beach and these were things that are only available to people who have that extra day as on the first and last day (which follows the schedule of people staying one night) we went to a cave and a beach that was filled with hundreds of people and it just wasn’t nearly as beautiful or breathtaking as kayaking through Halong bay on our own. The cruise line makes everything fun regardless but 100% recommend staying the two nights three days as you see so much more!!! Picture included is the secluded beach!
Cons: The tourist areas weren’t very fun as they were just so busy and hot, the second day where we had a full day was completely different and the best day of our trip to Vietnam!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very organised, no time for being bored
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We paid for the most expensive suite and we felt like royalty we were treated so well and our room was gorgeous and much bigger than we expected. We also got upgraded to their more luxurious sister ship the Hera so that was a nice bonus! Squid fishing was probably our favorite part we did it for hours!
Cons: The wine was ridiculously overpriced. The cheapest bottle was more than $100 Canadian and when we got home and looked it up it is only a $25 bottle here. Best to bring your own wine!
6.3 Good
Pros: We were surprised to be upgraded to Hera cruises although we purchased Aphrodite cruises. There were some explanations and history given at the local fishing by our local guide/cruise member James which we later found out he merely learnt English 2 years ago. I'd say for someone whom has just learnt English he deserves a clap on the back.
Cons: There wasnt wifi eventhough it was advertised to have it. The room we stayed at (hera land) has a completely spoilt sliding door latch. We had to use our strength to close the connecting door to the bathroom. Room smelled dank and there were many stains on the long couch as well as bedsheets. Hair dryer was super slow and lack of blowing capacity; but we also faced this at other hotels we stayed at. Food tasted bland for most dishes and English level for the staff could be improved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food, staff went above and beyond and made you feel super welcome
Cons: Boat was amazing, staff were amazing. Food was incredible. The itinerary was disappointing but I believe is the same for most tour operators in HaLong Bay. The landscape/scenery is incredible but you only see a tiny fraction and moor overnight in a large bay with 20 other boats some screaming karaoke until late. Ti Top island is awful, the beach the most overcrowded I've ever seen, the water polluted and the facilities inadequate. This isn't the fault of Aphrodite Cruises but the way tourism is managed and the facilities provided by the authorities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the cruise.. staff were very kind and friendl. The chef prepared delicious vegetarian dishes for us and that made our travel so memorable.. overall must visit for n Vietnam and a great way to spend a couple of days relaxing
Cons: Can have more activities on board the cruise.. we were only 2 couples and was good spending time alone.. but might get stretched if it’s a 3d2n stay
5.0 Okay
Pros: Halong bay is recognised as a UNESCO heritage site but isnt protected as it should be.
Cons: There are way too many cruises and nothing is regulated, I witnessed buckets of trash being dumped out of cruises and piles of floating rubbish polluted the waters. The visit to Sung sot cave was a nighhtmare as heards of people were just let in all at once without any proper planning or schedules, we were stuck in non moving lines and being pushed and shoved around (mind you, it is July and absolutely hot and humid). The visit to Soi sim Island for "swimming" was a bigger no as that was also overcrowded and the overpolluted waters was not appealing at all to get in to. It is a beautiful place but I could not stay long enough to enjoy it, as all these oversights and lack of consideration to the envoirnment was too much to take. This is not a fault of Aphrodite cruise alone, but I hope the industry does take action on it soon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing! Apple was very friendly. Food was incredible the views were stunning and plenty of activities to keep you entertained.
Cons: That we only booked for 1 night...should of booked 2 nights!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and the food was way better than anything we had expected. Everthing was also very clean and the rooms had great beds.
Cons: We booked the 3-day/2-night cruise. Activities on day 1 were pretty crowded (lot's of other boats). Activities on the second day were great!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great cruise, very good bed, positive and amazing staff. Also the food was really great. Please note that the 3x 5-courses is a little bit overkill, however the food itself is really good.
Cons: Please consider carefully whether you want to do a cruise at Halong Bay, also considering the price. All cruises are doing exactly the same: Go out of the harbour, go to the bay (1-hour, while you are eating your 5-courses!), do mini trips to very, very crowded spots, stay the rest of the trip (day and night) on the exactly same spot and go back to the harbour (1-hour, while you are eating your 5-courses again). Please clearly note that Aphrodite cruises was really good and the food was amazing. However, the journey itself was a little bit disappointed. Aphrodite cruises can differentiate itself to go to other spots / more cruising on the water.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool and sea view from the room
Cons: Not enough choices for restaurant, and menus of 2 restaurants are same
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are fabulous. Can not do enough to help you.
Cons: The pool closing at 7pm when we did not get back from a tour until 6pm and we were really hot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Beautiful views. Nice a la carte restaurant for breakfast. Amazing pool with swim up bar. Lovely sun beds on the beach. Courteous staff.
Cons: Long waiting time for lunch when ordered. The buffet style dinner is absolute mayhem, kids running around the place, messing up the food, no order whatsoever - a la carte restaurant much better. Rooms and bathrooms should be cleaner. Lots of hairs around.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The greats bits: Staff were fantastic (very attentive with English widely spoken); service exemplary; outdoor pool was colossal (and there are two, with a further one inside!) - one of the biggest hotel pools I've ever seen; breakfast was great (varied and plentiful) and all facilities well maintained (rooms, corridors, surrounding gardens and beach were very well kept). Golf buggy to the front door is a great touch!
Cons: The not so great bits and I mean that literally - these are not big issues: Bed was slightly too short, I'm only 6ft but my ankles passed the mattress when lying straight!; we visited during school holidays (end July), so the place was swarming with kids (our two increased the quota even more!), so be mindful if expecting a quiet romantic getaway; although there are 3 restaurants on site, only 2 are ever open at the same time - the lunchtime a la carte option is quiet, dark and secluded but the evening a la carte option (same menu as lunch a la carte BTW) is lit up like a Christmas tree! My suggestion to management would be to swap the evening/lunch venues around.
6.8 Good
Pros: Ambience
Cons: Hurt my knee climbing down transfer boat as step down was very low. Should've had a ladder. It hurts badly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place us actually beautiful.
Cons: Food in the a la cart restaurant and service one of the worst of the 10 hotels in Vietnam I stayed in. Pool barman actually would not put a drink on my room so I had to go to the room (10 mins walk) in swimshorts. I also thought the security was over the top. Took a picture for the roomcard that was asked for when you went to the restaurant even though you were on a private island. It was like being in an open prison. Creepy.
7.0 Good
Pros: The island is great and the place is generally clean.
Cons: The problem is that whilst this is a 5 star location and no doubt ticks all the boxes for facilities (although dining areas are cramped), this simply isn’t a hotel that offers a 5 star experience compared to other 5 star hotels in this country (usually foreign owned). The major issues I have are 1. quality and 2. the fact that the staff have no clue what to aim for in terms of 5 star service. In a 5 star hotel, you expect staff to be accommodating of your requests rather than becoming instantly terrified that you are doing something irregular. You have the sense of being policed and watched. The bureaucracy of trying to order sparkling water with my dinner rather than the standard issue still water was irritating. I needed extra mineral water in the room and a guy turns up with a bill for basic supermarket water at 6 times the price and a credit card reader. They wouldn’t charge anything to the room to settle at check out: not a 5 star experience. In my room, the kettle was faulty, the TV didn’t work, the safe box was broken and the bathroom stank if sewerage water. There is no sound proofing on the room doors... the noise in the corridors is really disturbing. 5 star: no, sorry, it’s too poor for that. Finally, a word on the food in the buffet restaurants: uninspiring. Lots of cheaply prepared dishes. Not a bad hotel, but don’t expect too much. Keep your head down and follow the manual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked this hot l the moment I stepped inside. The staff were very attentive from top to bottom. We were not happy with our room being above the generator but my husband spoke to them before we unpacked and they quickly changed it. Our room overlooked the ocean. It was spotless. Th food offered a good choice. Restaurant staff made sure we were well looked after. Beds big and comfortable. Absolutely brilliant stay and worth every penny.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is just fabulous and in a great location looking out across Ha Long Bay. Our room was great, very comfortable with amazing views across the pool area & bay. The hotels boat shuttle to take you to & from the property & the mainland was a bonus and run every 20 minutes. We found the staff to be lovely, friendly and eager to help and we did book a boat trip through their hotel travel desk. We stayed at the hotel on a full board basis & the food was of good quality and offered a wide variety to chose from.
Cons: The only thing that I didn't care too much for was the attitude of some of the other guests -but maybe it was just the sheer volume of guests that arrived in their hundreds for an overnight stay or for a couple of nights. Though the restaurants were very busy, the hotel is big enough to accommodate them and the food quality did not diminish. But some parents allowed children to run around the restaurant & to help themselves to the buffet style food, sometimes touching but not always taking :( Some noise disruption- one morning we were awoken at 5:50am by guests knocking and having a loud conversations in the corridor. Obviously its good business for the hotel but for us as guests not always a 5 star hotel experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. When we asked if their was a quieter room they obliged and gave us the most incredible room on the 8th floor
Cons: People not keeping control of their children. They were running up and down our corridor banging on doors and ringing bells at 530am

Pros: What a wonderful experience. Staff accomodation food and activities the best. From the first instance of booking we received communication regarding our itinerary and transport to and from the boat. Any changes were communicated immediately. Staff on board were fantastic. They knew when to engage and when to afford privacy. We were made to feel like people not a number on this trip. There was plenty of time for activities and relaxing. If you are going to experience Ha Long Bay , do yourself a favour and book through Indochina Sails Cruise. Our trip was cut short one night due to a tropical depression and were refunded half our accomodation fee in cash which was more than fair. Highly recommend this company. The rooms were beautiful including the bathrooms. Our boat was the two room Valentine. Food was delicious and plenty of it. We would like to make a special mention of staff member Lucas who was our tour guide. Very professional and knowledgeable of the area and Vietnam. He managed all tours meal times and onboard activities with exceptional manners and humour. It was a pleasure to be in his company.
Cons: Nothing, I have no complaints at all. It was clean safe and staff were great. Would sail with them again. Highly recommend this company as there are so many out there.
6.8 Good
Pros: Deluxe room was spacey with a batch which we had no chance to use anyway. The bed was comfy. There was a lot of for on dinner and breakfast. The lunch was average. The scenery was beautiful.
Cons: The barman and price. We were supplied with 1L of water for a stay in tropics. For extra water or even tea outside meal hours we had to pay. The barman was rude. Beverages were very expensive even for western standards. The wine was not good. Ha Long bay has no life present, the water is not clean and full of floating trash. Not much attractions on the boat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were truly excellent and forthcoming; they always went the extra mile. They even arranged a pick up of our luggage in Hanoi which the airline had lost during our flight. The boat was stunning and very clean. It was a wonderful stay!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The boat was very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The food was great.
Cons: The visit to the cave was not very interesting. Titop Island was extremely crowded but the view from it makes it a worthwhile stop.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience, staff were great and the food was lovely.
Cons: Felt a little rushed over all, schedule could be Slowed a little.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We live an incredible experience. We had this cruise hired, but for some reason (maybe they had oversold the boat, we didn't finish knowing it well), they sent my family (my wife, me and three children of 9, 13 and 16) to an exclusive boat, who had only two incredible rooms and the whole ship was for us. The ship was the Valentine. The service, the people and the food a quality scandal. We hire the shared transfer and we end up having round-trip transfer in private combi. The truth is that everything was of excellent quality. They could have chosen to do it bad for us and chose the opposite. In us they will have satisfied customers forever. Luckily I chose this company among the other several options available. INCREDIBLY GOOD AND RECOMMENDED.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stunning views from deck and room. Only a few people on board which made the tour almost private. The timing of the itinerary was really relaxed, it didn't feel rushed at any time.
Cons: Kayaking was advertised but turned out to only be part of the 2 nights program.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The deck was really ample with amazing wiews. Excursions were well organized and interested.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent, so welcoming and polite, they treated us like royalty. The boat was beautiful and clean, loved the old style. Very well organised tour, felt like I saw a lot of Halong bay but also had plenty of time to relax. Food was okay.
Cons: Only some of the food courses but in general it was nice.

Pros: Very nice and friendly staff

Pros: Our initial cruises cancelled on us last minute and we are so glad they did! We had such an amazing time here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was nice to be away from the crowds when we cruised as we had heard it can get busy with boats but we hardly saw any. Loved the kayaking and even though it rained on the last day we had a great time.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing and the boat was fantastic. We loved the kayaking and enjoyed the more quiet area of Bai Tu Long Bay over Halong Bay.

Cons: Uncomfortable beds and lack of internet
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not much to be honest. Ha Long Bay is beautiful but tourism like this has ruined it. Every sight is filled with swarms of people, the activities are highly controlled and sterile of any real enjoyment. You can’t swim in the bay except for 30 mins in a cordoned off area of a man made beach with the guests of 10 other ships so you’re basically in a sticky polluted suncreamed tourist soup. You can kayak sure, for about 20 mins again in a corderned off area. Want to explore a cave? Great?! But you’ll have to get up there at a glacial pace as you que all the way up the 600 steps to the top as Vietnamese and Chinese tourists for some reason try pushing past you constantly as if it’s going to get them there any faster. Food was okay, I actually found the Vietnamese food served at lunch to be pretty poor quality and I ended up not eating much of my plate which is odd for me as I love Vietnamese food. It had a strange flavour. The western food in the evening was quite nice and I liked that breakfast included grilled tomatoes and beans.
Cons: Room smelt of damp Bed was rock solid Drinks are 4x more expensive than on the shore The staff were so unhelpful they ruined the trip and we left a day early. We booked a 2 day 3 night trip and were happy with the itinerary which said our second day would be spent exploring various caves and islands etc on our own without the 1 night people. After dinner the ship manager came over to us and explained we wouldn’t be doing that but instead would be taking a boat to the market in Ha Long and would spend the morning there before coming back to port and meeting the new passengers then we would repeat everything we did on the first day again. We told her we had spent money to be in the bay on a boat not at a market and that we didn’t want to see the same sights all over again. We spent hours speaking to her about this, mainly because she wouldn’t leave us alone. We had many debates about why we wouldn’t want to go to a market or do the same things twice, and we spoke to the main customer service team on the phone a number of times as they were refusing to let us cancel because of booking.com commission which we said we would pay if necessary. The next morning I had emails saying that the itinerary was not just the market and the manager told me that this is not what she had said and it was just her poor English that was the problem but she had seen the itinerary now as it had been emailed to her and we could do all of those things if we wanted. Clearly that makes no sense, either she knew the itinerary before and explained it totally wrong or she received it later by email and decided we could do that but it can’t be both. Its very strange to say it’s the fault of her English considering the long conversations we had all about the market and doing the same activities again. If she cannot speak the language of the majority of her guests well enough to regurgitate an itinerary that they must run quite regularly then perhaps she is not in the right role.

Pros: Emeraude created the perfect surroundings for exploring Halong Bay. The staff was very helpful, the food was delicious, program well organised. A little detail such as the week chosen background music at the sun deck and during meals was nice. I will definitely recommend Emeraude!

Pros: Historic ambiance, well maintained, exceptional staff, a good mix of covered and uncovered deck areas to lounge. Would recommend.

Pros: The food was great and the service very good. The Paul Roque room was the stand out as it included a private deck area at the front of the boat on the second floor.

Pros: Grace and her team were fantastic from start to finish, they made us welcome, kind, friendly and to be honest absolutely made our cruise. This exceeded our expectation in so many ways, this was the highlight of our holiday, thank you
Cons: nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff makes this experience so memorable. Rachel and her team did an outstanding job with customer service. Truly great hospitality. The food is delicious and the chill atmosphere of the cruise, with a small number of people, is just right!
Cons: The sundeck terrace could have some umbrellas because it gets quite hot. This next comment is no fault of Paradise Luxury, it is more about Ha Long Bay. There are limited number of activities you can do on the bay and it gets quite packed with tourists.

Pros: We really enjoy the trip so much. It was a lot of fun when doing kayaking and swimming in the halong bay. The views is beautiful especially in the Surprising Cave. Our tour guides Mr Lucky is super friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of informative throughout the trip. If u like the wooden architecture, royal palace Cruise is the best choice.
Cons: Maybe the generator not strong, so the rooms will just have air con after 5pm.
6.8 Good
Pros: A cruise is definitely the best way to explore Ha Long bay. The bay is spectacular. The boat was comfortable, with an awesome view of the bay out of the window and the staff were lovely. Day one & 3 had great activities. I would have rated this experience much, much higher if day 2 hadn't been such a mess.
Cons: 2 Issues... 1. No contingency plans for activities in bad weather: On the second day for our activities, we were transferred onto a smaller boat for the day. After our first cave activity, the weather turned to heavy rain and was suddenly cold. The boat continued on to the kayaking and 'chill & swim on the beach' activities. Most people chose not to do the kayaking (we did it in the rain) and then we all expected the trip to move on. But no. We sat shivering, cold and wet in the activity boat for about 2 hours (3 for those who didn't kayak) with nothing to do because it was 'chill on the beach' time on the activity schedule and that was that, with no alternative plan. Obviously no one wanted to chill on the beach in the cold pouring rain. We were told to have a nap on the small benches of the activity boat which would maybe be comfortable for a small child to lie on. No one brought anything to read or anything to do. I know that they can't do anything about weather. But there needs to be some sort of contingency plan. I would happily have spent the day reading on the main boat, warm and dry if the activities were aborted half way due to weather. Even playing cards on the activity boat would have been better than staring sullenly into each others eyes while wet, cold, uncomfortable and powerless to do anything about it. It was a waste of a day and we were all just miserable. 2. Private transfer makes the same tourist stops and takes the same long route for $150 vs. $20 return on the group shuttle. Just take the group transfer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There was a lot of food and the activities were well organised
Cons: The room was way smaller than the photos ( but you’re on a boat so to be expected )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect from staff to food to cleanliness. Staff very helpful and take care all of us. Nothing bad about this experience to say except that we choose 2 days 1 night and we should have choose 3 days 2 nights. Thank for everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a great cruise. Beautiful scenery and the room was lovely. Alex and Thu were terrific guides, very knowledgable and friendly. The food was delicious and the activities were very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was amazing. From the time they picked us up with the bus, to welcoming us on the boat and treating us to different food and events. You can get different packages for this boat, which means you end up doing different activities. Two options are 2 days/1 night and 3 days/2 nights. I would highly recommend 3 days/2 nights if you have an extra day to spare. It makes it a much more relaxing experience. You will still see/do all the activities on a 2 days/1 night package, so if you don't have the extra day, you can do it all in 2 days, but its a bit rushed. Remember, you get picked up in Hanoi around 8 am and get to the boat around 12:30 pm. On the way back, the boat drops you off at the pier around 12:30 pm where you are picked up by the bus and then dropped off in Hanoi around 5 pm. They break up the bus drive with one 30-minute stop where you can use a bathroom (clean) and buy snacks/treats. Activities on the boat/off the boat were: hike up a small hill on an island (good views), kayaking, cave visit, karaoke, Tai Chi in the morning, teaching you how to roll Vietnamese fresh rolls. Great food on the boat. Lots of variety, lots of quantity, and they even went out of their way to cater for people with vegetarian and other food requirements.
Cons: It was not always clear what activities were happening 3+ hours in advance. Having a printed out plan and giving it to guests would have helped.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic. Certainly no shortage of food.
Cons: Nothing. The whole experience was enjoyable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful boats in Halong Bay, not all plastic and metal. Our group was upgraded to the two Royal Suites with balcony and there were amazing! The rooms are stunning and so comfortable. Tony our guide, and Alex the skipper were really helpful and friendly - always making sure that everyone on board were enjoying themselves and had everything they needed!
Cons: No free drinking water on board
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we got upgraded to a wonderful suite! It was fantastic!! Air con, cable tv and a mini fridge. We went kayaking, hiked at a local island, watched the sunrise and visisted a local cave. We were shown how to make local spring rolls and even invited to partake in tai chi. Amber our tour guide on the trip was amazing. We cannot rate this trip high enough. Thank you so much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had spent a lot of time searching for halong bay cruises because of hundreds of boats . Most of them are designed in western style what we have seen hundreds of times every where in the world . That is why I was looking for an experience on a traditional boat in halong bay . Finally , I found Royal palace cruise on booking.com and booked the trip and I feel so lucky with our choice. Wow , I was so excited when we reached the boat . What a charming and authentic boat , traditional architecture of royal palace . We looked all around to others boat nearby , yes , it is truely unique and special , standing out with all other boats in the Bay . We all were so happy when we were warmly welcomed by professional staff , waving us with beautiful smiles , druming to welcome us , we felt like Vip persons . That was so impressed . They served us amazing food , and we did kayaking, hiking for panoramic views, visiting amazing cave , swiming .......we also sang karaoke at night , squid fishing , a lot of fun. Thank you so much for amazing trip , I will come back with my family
Cons: No

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I was shocked at how bad this hotel was and am confused by the positive ratings. There was construction from 7:30am to 5pm that was very loud- no sleeping in. We were sold a tour that was terrible and way overpriced. Staff members tried to sell us side services. The AC did not work properly. The staff was not very friendly. Really bad experience. I will never stay at a Wyndham again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location for Ha Long bay, very good. Views from the room were fantastic ( bridge and Islands). Breakfast good.
Cons: When we were there the hotel was full of children. Club room food a bit meagre.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Ocean view rooms are great: lots of light, spacious, confortable, great view!
Cons: I am vegetarian, was difficult to find vegetarian options in the surroundings.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The seaview is one of the best in the area, you can see the whole Halong Bay in all rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Overall the facilitiy is clean and elegant.
Cons: The location is a little bit far from the town centrem which is 15 mins walk away. Suggest to take taxi to virtually every elsewhere in Halong.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff upgraded us to a J suite. Thanks
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Good location, it is walking distance to the international pier, for people going on cruises its a big boon. They have a small casino on the property which is quite nice. They only serve you soft drinks or at max a local beer (Saigon)
Cons: Service was slow and painful. At the time of checkin, after taking our passports, the front office manager was on an unrelated call for 10 mins before he attended to us. Food for a table of 8 members of my family came when most people had finished eating. When as asked the lady said that there is only one chef at night on duty. Unacceptable for food to come for 2 people after 6 people have finished their dinner. Quality of food was not as expected from a wyndham property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool area (when it isn’t too busy) and very nice gym. Staff are helpful and courteous. There are a few restaurants with a good choice of Vietnamese and western food, including good options for vegetarians.
Cons: Breakfast was quite expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool, breakfast, price good
Cons: None
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really clean and modern with lovely facilities and helpful staff! Really nice hotel and really nice food! We mainly had room service and they were so nice in everything that they did for us. The views from the pool were incredible! And it was nice to have food and drinks service at the poolside!
Cons: The pool had so many children around it (which is fine and it’s nice to see them enjoying the facilities too) however I can’t explain how no matter what time of day it was there was just children all over the pool all the time. The noise got way too much at times which isn’t what you want when you’re paying for a 5 star hotel and the facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view..the pool and the room service was delicious and not very expensive
Cons: It was amazing the staff were so helpful and the view of the bay superb
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a really nice hotel to see! Classy, high level athmosphere. Very friendly personnel. Beautiful swimming pool with view over HaLong Bay. Big spacious room with very nice bathroom.
Cons: They have to work on their details. If 3 guests arrive, everything in the room (like towels), should be x3. The refrigator was empty and only working (after asking), if the door of the closet stays open. Check in lasted 30 minutes. This can be quicker. No visible towels to use in the gym and swimming pool. Reception has to learn a little how to inform tourists where to go: what is nice to see in HaLong
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing property with fantastic views. The bed was incredible. The room service was delicious and the breakfast buffet was huge. I had a great stay.
Cons: The tour desk wasn't able to help me book a spa visit. I was a little disappointed. I was able to find a spa on my own so it worked out.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful , good location The swimming pool area
Cons: Limited food menu, there should be more variety in the food menu.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were beyond helpful and accommodating, and the rooms, food, and facilities were wonderful. The private beach was great , especially since it was uncrowded and we were the only ones on it for most of the day. The pool and beach are a 10 minute shuttle ride from the Hue building where our room was. It’s conveniently located next to the Cat Ba ferry to help explore the inhabited island in Ha Long. The views were breathtaking, and the property was great. It’s located next to a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant 1958 that had a variety of tasty dishes. The prices for drinks and food on the property are quite reasonable in comparison to resorts in the Caribbean, Europe, and North America. I found the the 8 USD Hennessy VSOP to be a personal favorite, and the mixed drinks made with fresh fruit juices were only about 4 USD.
Cons: If you’ve never traveled Asia before, there’s some cultural etiquette differences you’re going to run into that will test your tolerance. Guests from regions closer to the property tend to be quite loud, let their kids run wild, aren’t as environmentally friendly, and have different concepts of privacy and personal space compared to Westerners, but that’s to be expected frankly. I would recommend if the property wants to make it a truly international resort, to separate the many wonderful facilities they have to offer into family friendly and couples friendly areas. I know this was an issue at the pool, and at times on the beach when people had portable loudspeakers and microphones for some reason. Don’t let these things deter you but also don’t let them be a surprise, as it’s a different culture and region of the world.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Rooms nice and clean
Cons: Beach and pool is far away and everything is still a construction site. Breakfast was very basic, and with tour groups in the hotel a challenge, empty buffet and messy restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The service, staff and food was pretty good!
Cons: The location is far from the main city and it’s difficult to get some food during dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Kind staffs. Everything was good
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet and the street food was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient
Cons: It is in a new resort which is developing and so many of the restaurants etc were work in progress. There is a theme park being built just up the road which will be awesome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for one night. Fabulous large comfortable room. Resaurant was very good have a lovely meal .

9.1 Excellent
Pros: I paid $150 USD compared to the other $310 offer I received for a solo traveler. I was over being around tourists at this point at the staff was awesome. They let me eat on the stern where they prepare the food and left me alone when for the most part. The crew were really amazing. Hung out with most via Google Translate and Minh the tour guide late night just shooting the s**t. Food was very good and bed was comfortable.
Cons: Nothing. Cruise was great for the price. I believe they offer a shuttle from Hanoi. Halong Bay is over priced for Vietnam, being over developed and has no good places to eat (I'm talking about 50,000 dong pho and com chien place too). Take the shuttle from Hanoi and don't bother with Halong Bay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time at the cruise. Enjoyed the food. Overall experience was great
Cons: We stayed for one night, wish we had more time for swimming and kayaking. Also felt that the food is bit too oily
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The hosts
Cons: We were pushed onto a day boat that had huge rats. We weren’t ever aloud to jump in the water. The air con didn’t work when the boat was moving. We were not told our itinerary very well. They tried to get us to pay things we’d already paid
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent. Food was great. Staff were very attentive and professional. Our guide Chu was excellent and very knowledgeable! Scenary was amazing and the activities were fun too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rosa Cruise is really nice experience with lots of activities, not only cruise itself. Food was tasty, room was nice and clean.
Cons: Drinks were not included and we were not allowed to bring our own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A Ha Long bay cruise is simply a must do, so it all really depends on what Cruise company you go with! Lovely boat, spotlessly clean, & fantastic staff. Enough food to eat for a week!! Activities are fun and well organized also. We booked our transfer from Hanoi through Rosa Cruise also, and it was a luxury style which was great for 20$ return p/p 10/10
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is great (shout out specially to Linh!). Also, we were just 11 people on the boat, so you can enjoy the beautiful Bay at ease.
Cons: WiFi wasn't working most of the time. Would skip the Pearl Farm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Small group of people, easy to get to know everyone. Friendly staff. Our tour guide Nam was welcoming and informative. They fed us well (could've done with less food!)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice cruise. We were a group of 3 friends, we spent 2 days and 1 night in Rosa Cruise. Very nice shuttle service from Hanoi (on the way in they picked us up in a "luxury" shuttle, which was really confortable, while in the way back to Hanoi we went in a normal shuttle bus). Nice vietnamise food, enough to feed a full army. The staff were really friendly and the activities were great. We really enjoyed the farm pearl and the kayaking. Even though it was not the proper season, we spotted some squids and even a couple of octopus at night from the boat. The scenary was amazing. One of our friends turned years during our stay at Rosa Cruise, and it was a really nice gesture from them to surprise us with a birthday cake during lunch :)
Cons: There was a bit of rubbish in the water at Halong Bay - the locals and the tourists do not seem to care about keeping it clean! The wifi signal was very poor, only possible to get some connection at the bar/restaurant of the boat. The only thing I did not like is that we got charged directly to the credit/debit card we used during booking - It says on the payment information that payment will be done at the boat/hotel, so we would have liked to have paid with cash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our guide, Frank, was knowledgable, friendly and entertaining. The crew were also very good. Food was excellent and great care was taken with dietary requirements.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Lovely view of Ha Long Bay!
Cons: Boat old and staff only focused on getting money off customers. Stay away.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and service
Cons: Room was a bit small. Other than that all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The free breakfast was phenomenal. I would pay a good amount of money to eat there. They had rice dishes, pho, chao, standard eggs, quail eggs, tofu, noodle dishes, pastries, toast, and MORE! The room and bathroom was beautiful. They had Kleenex tissues which was nice as I noticed most hotels don't have it here. It was a little odd that they combined two full beds to make an extra large bed, but we couldn't feel the crack.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfy and friendly staff
Cons: The area around the hotel is not touristy at all

8.5 Excellent (259 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This vessel pulls anchor and sets sail from Ha Long for at least part of your stay. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Small boat, good for know and communicate with other people on board. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Good food and service. You must expect that you will don't go to the most famous places in Halong Bay, the swan cruise will bring you to other beach and other cave, and its really better because you can find less people there and you can do kayak almost without other people around. Cong was a really friendly guide.
Cons: You need pay the drinks, not included. Too much time on the shopping store (30 min).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the best time with Swan Cruises. The activities are a lot of fun and all worth doing !! All the staff are lovely and Jenny was exceptionally great as a guide in Ha Long. We would definitely recommend. Price for one night is expensive but for an experience like this it is completely worth it! (And most of them are more expensive and offer more or less the same experience).
Cons: There wasn’t much that stood out... maybe just the beach chairs facing out to the view would be better? However, we just moved them and put them back later.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were helpful and courteous and were available whenever we needed them. A cruise around Ha Long bay is a must if you visit Vietnam and I recommend using swan cruises to do it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Luna was an excellent tour guide. Activities were great fun (kayaking, squid fishing and spring roll making) and Ha Long Bay was beautiful!
Cons: Waited for a long time for our transfer back to Hanoi.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing! They went above & beyond to ensure our experience was fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful food which just kept coming! Some of the best seafood we have eaten in Vietnam. Great prices for drinks onboard. Lovely cocktails. The day cruise was pretty and we visited some interesting places.
Cons: The air conditioning in our two rooms (interconnecting) was terrible in both rooms. On our second night, it stopped all together and we had no air. In the small rooms it was impossible to sleep. The lovely staff did everything they could to try and accommodate us by supplying fans to the room. There was however not enough fans for all guests! This was NOT the staffs fault in any way, SWAN cruises need to ensure they do not blame the staff for this!
6.0 Good
Pros: La planificación y las actividades fueron perfectas.
Cons: Si quieres beber algo tienes que pagar aparte por ello, no se incluye ni una botella de agua.
6.8 Good
Pros: The boat was nice, very clean. Squidding was fun.
Cons: Our friend couldn't participate in the excursions and stayed on the boat. All the power was switched off, no aircon in middle of the day in very hot conditions! Staff all disappeared, she couldn't ask for a cold drink or anything. Excursions mediocre. There was no orientation or any talk or information about the region. A little bit of info would have been nice. The afternoon "Party" on top deck just felt awkward. The exact same Techno beat blared over and over!! The deck wasn't even set up for the party, the chairs tables etc. were stacked to the side. I hope you like fruit as that's the main staple of food. I do love fruit but not for party food, then served for dinner then desert and then for more snacks! Overall disappointing compared to another trip I did a couple of years ago.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, comfortable accommodations. Food was good and plentiful. Best part was the cruise sailed to a part of Halong Bay that was not crowded
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely accommodating in regard to food allergies and intolerances
Cons: Air conditioning in the dining hall would have been appreciated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great views and activities. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Food were Western influenced meals, and less traditional Vietnamese unfortunately. Communication about activities and changes lacked a bit: We booked a 2 night trip and completed all activities before the 2nd night. We found out the reason just before docking and check-out: due too bad forecast activities were merged because there was a change that we had to return preemptively.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had swan cruises take 5 of us to the quietest and most beautiful areas of Halong Bay for 3D2N. Their crew was a blast and always made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves. The 3 guides we had were hilarious and absolutely perfect. Marcus and Viet were our guides for the first 2 days and brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the boat. I sadly forget the name of our last tour guide but she was also amazing. This cruise is 100% worth your money as you go into the quieter parts of Halong Bay! We usually saw less than 10 other ships a day. We took their bus to and from Hanoi and it was perfect! Some of us went to the airport on the last day and they set up a private car which got them there on time. I will be returning to Swan Cruises if I ever come back to Halong Bay!

Pros: Location
Cons: Services of staff
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: They charged me 800K vnd (35$) for the dirty bed sheet (my 18 month old son ate grapes and there are 3 small finger prints on the bed sheet). The carpet is so smelly. And there are a lot Chinese tour groups in the hotel (noisy and crowded all the time)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The prime location which is just very center and right next to everything. Hotel is clean, modern and has a great selection of breakfast.
Cons: We had a bit awkward situation when checking out when they could not find a missing spoon and charged the money for that. It feels quite insulting and rude although we understand its the rule but we wish the staff could be more flexible.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and the view of the Hotel are great. There is a Sun World Halong Complex in front of the Hotel, and it's easy to get to Tuan Chau Island, the tourist hub of Halong Bay, within half hour. The female concierge and receptionist are all great. They really have the service spirit with passion and compassion for making this Hotel a difference from the others.
Cons: We can hear the noisy karaoke at night until 12 pm though we already stay in a high floor room with windows closed.
7.5 Good
Pros: big room with view .nice jacuzi
Cons: breakfast as not good as 5 star hotel .so crowded hotel at the lobby up on check in time
6.3 Good
Cons: Staff attitude is not what i expected from a five star hotel. The bellman on the first day of checking in seem like yelling at us when we tried to be as polite as possible. The quality, facilities and service can not exceed 4 star according to international standard.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: View from window out across Ha Long Bay was exceptional. Room was very clean and bathroom facilities were impressive.
Cons: The bar closes very early.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very grand building, rooms were very large, breakfast was good.
Cons: Rooms were slightly tatty/old, coffee was mediocre, gym facilities were poor,

Cons: The drinks could have been a little cheaper.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and clean large room.
Cons: Very dated.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was fine & clean
Cons: Noisy children running a mock in reception, hallways with no concern for other guest, if you’d like a relaxed break keep away !!!!!!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location, Staffs are friendly, Clean.
Cons: Everything seem good, meet our expectation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rooms, with lovely staff! The swimming pool facilities were very good. Buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent. Great value.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff were excellent - very helpful and knowledgeable.
Cons: The pool area was neglected. - very dated furniture and tiles chipped. No service there. Towels were kept inside the gym (found these one our last day). Power issues a few times, including stuck in the elevator for aprox 15 seconds. The view was nice, but the windows were not clean. The air con was moist and the room got extremely humid - need to add humidifiers to the air con. Vert dated furniture. Son dropped lego on the floor and on looking under the bed there was an inch of dust under it. Very disturbing. The area had a large amount of construction - the foot path was unfinished and scaffold near by - made walking with 2 small children unnerving. The wifi was unreliable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and taff
Cons: Nothing
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. Nice shower. Great buffet breakfast. And the staff was really greta to me. I was getting sick and it was bad weather and the staff treated me excellent even though I probably wasn't at my best.
Cons: Halong Bay in general. This is by means no reflection on the hotel, but Halong Bay is way over priced for Vietnam and it being over developed with no good food or nightlife, and I say that in comparison to Saigon or Hanoi or Nha Trang not to the US or other places. If you do get stuck here, Halong Plaza Hotel is a good hotel and a fair price to stay at.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stay was real nice with the staff helpful and courteous. Really surprised us by sending the Bday cake as a complimentary for my wife . Thanks to the staff and management for the same .
Cons: Could include more variety in the breakfast menu

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and well talking
Cons: We only stay at the beach for 1 hour at the 2nd days without any other activities in my 3D2N tour. I would recommend for 2D1N your only.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, location, itinerary, and food. This route visits less busy areas so it is very enjoyable.
Cons: Balcony had broken floor boards. No access to fridge or ice, so you have to pay money and use lots of plastic bottles or drink warm water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This cruise was perfect!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice cruise in Halong Bay. Nice activities on board the boat, great food, friendly and accommodating staff and cruise director.
Cons: Poor signage at the cruise offhand lobby. Those at the office were NOT welcoming in the least. I called on the phone and spoke with at least three people in person at the cruise office/lobby, but no one would take the time to explain anything, let alone if I was in the right place. The office staff were more concerned about doing their work, than assisting or answering simple and basic questions i.e. simple, basic questions like, if we were even in the right lobby for the right cruise!!! I had to ask other guests, if we were in the right office/lobby. And of course, they were not sure either! Better training for the staff in this regard is needed and better signage on the outside of the building in badly needed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The boat is from the smaller ones, which we really liked, you get to know the group you travell with, it is not so anonymous. It was 20 of us in total on the boat. Our guide John was great, super sweet and funny, he kept good ambience through our whole stay. The room was huge and nicely equiped, but as almost everywhere in Vietnam it could use more attention to detail, when cleaning (AC was full of dirt, lamps had stains, ..) otherwise the main stuff as bathroom, sheets and floor were clean. The food on the boat was nice, especially the dinner. Prepare yourself the programm of your stay won’t be packed, one activity on first day (floating village) and visit of cave + some spring roles cooking on the other day , if you book for 2 day + 1 night. But we were fine with that, you are there for the landscape anyway, which you can nicely watch from the roof deck. We were positively surprised by prices of drinks - 2$ for beer, 1,5$ for coke, 6$ for coctail of spirit.
Cons: Cleaningness of small details in the room. We saw cockroach in the dinning hall - the staff killed it after we told them. We booked last minute offer, so it was good deal for money, but for the original price I would say it is overpriced.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The 3 day cruise was definitely worth the extra day. We had a very remote mini cruise for a day and traveled further into bau tu bay. The cave that you go in on the second day is much better than the third day because there are much less tourists. The food was amazing, lots of great seafood and very accommodating to dietary and health restrictions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I’d recommend bringing your own drinks (water, soda, alcohol) because none is included and is pricey for Vietnam. All in all it’s a great trip!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food and the swimming + kayaking
Cons: They had no Idea what to do with the people who staked two nights
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed and the shower were amazing. Staff were incredibly friendly!
Cons: The food was ok (not a seafood lover so not really their fault!)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and food excellent
Cons: Too restrictive, not allowed to swim. On 2nd day had v little to do after the morning- need to have something organised for the afternoon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The activities they had, it was quite interesting. We were always doing something. But it was our wish if wanted to do or not. The gears and all were of good quality and we felt safe. The guides (crew) were very helpful and smiling.
Cons: There's nothing as such. It's just that we tried squid fishing but didn't get any.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The room and the vietnamien breakfast
Cons: - there is no beach near to the hotel(as it was wrtitten in the hotel's description) -the outside swimming pool was closed. -the staff in the reception are not very helpful and sometimes very impolite( not all of them, of course) - the room is a 5 stars hotel. The rest of the hotel is a 3 stars hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views of Halong Bay are amazing. Free spa vouchers were nice. Great location.
Cons: The smell of smoke in the foyer and even on the non smoking floor rooms due to centralised cooling.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: staff are fantastic and price wise it is exceptionally cheap given the quality of the rooms. Decent gym and the casino is a lot of fun.
Cons: food options are incredibly limited. Restaurant menu and in room service where both very disappointing. We ended up getting a taxi to the Halong Bay shopping mall and buying food there as the restaurants near by are also quite disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good. No complaint. Strongly recommended for family vacation and friends. An ideal hotel to stay for relax and friendly staff. Will come again for sure.
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room & staffs.
Cons: Breakfast variety, so many pork items which we do not like as we are tourist here & didn't get chicken/beef items or vegetables without pork.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff from the moment of our arrival were brilliant - extremely professional and welcoming. The rooms are massive with great views and the quality of the furnishings throughout are brilliant. The location is great if you’re looking for nice bars and good restaurants to eat at, a 5 min stroll away takes you to a newly built strip.
Cons: My only negative is the hotel restaurants. The pricing being a lot higher for food in comparison to restaurants nearby (that have beautiful views, amazing food etc). It’s a shame as discouraged us to eat there as there really isn’t anything extra special the restaurant offers to justify being expensive. The lack of customers eating there suggests we were not the only ones to think this.
6.8 Good
Cons: People are smoking everywhere even in elevators. Staff is not speaking english, i have found only one person, and he helped me alot. Others were just smiling and saying "sorry I cant understand you". Another thing is hotel is not trusting you at all.. you need to sign pappers for umbrella, they are checking its condition after the usage (in case of damage u have to pay), personal stopped me during my run in GYM in the middle of the process, as I need to sign somewhere with my room number.. They have a price for every Item in the room, and pricelist is present in the room Windows are very dirty
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable
Cons: Room smelt of smoke because of people smoking in the casino and passing through the ventilation throughout the hotel. The hotel catered for Chinese generally Located in a construction site
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were big and comfortable, and the sea view was nice too.
Cons: A bit further down the road from the night spot Sun World entertainment area. No free shuttle service to the above mentioned tourist spot and night market place nearby.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The casino is fun and the drinks are free
Cons: 1. In a country where you cannot drink the water, it is a bit ridiculous for the water in your room to be the most expensive thing in the minibar VND 70,000. Even more than a beer VND 60,000!! They still allow smoking everywhere. Went for a swim on the 3rd floor indoor swimming pool and everyone tolerated a guy smoking at the pool.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel
Cons: Missing a smile on staff faces
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable rooms and good buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The swimming pool and gym area need updating. Some of the equipment in the gym didn't work so could not really get a good work out.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good size room. Nice pool. Breakfast was good (better than other menu). Staff were helpful (though English wasn't very strong). Good view from room.
Cons: Cigarette smell in halls. Nothing to do in area (should've gone straight out on halong bay). Unless going to Sunworld not much need to stay. Area wasn't great for food/shops.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious rooms were a great treat. We had a view of the bay and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great and there is also also great selection for lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The pool bar was relaxing and if the weather was warmer we would have swum. I was able to use the gym which was great. The staff were really helpful and organised taxis for us when we left. There is a market nearby and local stores to get massages and manicures for really reasonable prices. Even though the hotel isn't within walking distance from any major attractions, the remoteness is just what you need after the busyness of being in the city.
Cons: It would be good to know the general time when house keeping is coming to clean so we could plan our activities and when we can rest.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: There was building works going on over my room I told the staff several times but it didn't do anything..Basically the work went on and was woken at 7am again by building noise.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was simply amazing. We arrived late in the night still they helped us a lot with our trip to Da Nang next day. The receptionist called our next hotel and arranged the transfer from the airport. They helped with the taxi, exchanging money and even wrote a few lines to the bus driver in Vietnamese to overcome the language barrier and let us get off the bus near the Ha Noi airport. The breakfast is of a wide variety and everything was yummy.
Cons: The only problem we had was that the hotel is a bit far from the sea port and the bus station so you need a car or taxi to get anywhere.
7.0 Good
Pros: Next to main road.
Cons: Bathroom and gym were not maintained. Both the treadmills were not working during our stay. When we requested for a late check out, we will only given 30 minutes despite the low occupancy rate.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location, close to seafood market and restaurants. Cleanliness. Air conditioner.
Cons: Stayed for few nights there and the buffet breakfast didn't change the menu at all. Have to eat the same breakfast for everyday. Staffs are not really friendly and take too long to check-in. We came at 3pm and usually the room should already be done by that time but the staffs told us to wait for them to check if the room is available. The swimming pool is nice but a little bit small. When there are more than 5 people in the pool it will be crowded.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms. Warm, welcoming and helpful staff. They helped us with finding a good cheap boat trip. Good breakfast.
Cons: The location is not in the center of Halong, but still good for a day or two if you plan to go on boat trips. The wifi was very slow in the rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, reasonable pool, decent breakfast
Cons: Gym was non-existant, poor wi-fi
