Pros: Staff, views
Cons: Drinks including water was overpriced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to Sealife Legend Cruise. Staff is excellent. They are very helpful and made us feel very welcomed. Room we had was very spacious with private Jacuzzi in the balcony overlooking Halong bay. Delicious, well presented food. Well organised trips to cave and kayaking. We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this company.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked only two days before the journey and got contacted the day before the journey that they could upgrade us to vessel Sealife Legend, a five star vessel. The contact was via WhatsApp which was strange for me so I denied. Then they wrote that Huong Hai was on yearly inspection and they would upgrade us to the president suite on Sealife Legend. I did not believe it until we were in the presidents suite. The suite has officially 135 m2. Very comfortable bed, nice big bathroom with bathtub, shower, etc. the suite is on the front of the ship so you have your own terrace with a whirlpool which unfortunately did not work. The trip was very nice with enough time to relax, take pictures and enjoy the vessel. We went canooing which was nice, and swimming around the boat. Overall a very nice experience
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Ha and Viet were absolutely amazing. Such great energy and genuinely happy people. The entire staff was so respectful and polite. The rooms were also very clean and spacious. Would recommend to anyone looking to do an overnight cruise in Halong bay.
Cons: Nothing ! Wish we were there longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious. It was a real treat to be there... Ha and his staff were absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have wanted for more - lovely people and oh so helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff went beyond expectation to ensure we were happy. We let them know in advance that this was our honeymoon stay and they treated us exceptionally well.
Cons: We had to wait an hour between arriving at the dock (after a four hour drive) and boarding the boat. It was explained this was to allow for Hanoi traffic, but it felt like a long wait.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I don't know where to start. I just don't know if I have ever experienced a more perfect tour. Everything just worked so seamlessly and easily. Vied and his crew take you out on an unfortunately short vacation. After being shuttled to the reception point at the port where you are greeted by the staff and a drink while you're waiting you're shipped to the boat where the crew is giving you a very warm and special welcome. The overnight trip is well-timed with lots to do and much to eat. I have never experienced such an attentive and helpful staff. Every room gets their own table but when you're a solo traveler and you're caught enjoying a conversation on the sun deck with others they might just ask you if you would like to be seated together in the dining room where everything is already being arranged at that very instant. Of course if they overhear you talking to others about not liking seafood they'll bring an alternative to your table. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and there is always a crew member smiling at you and open to any kind of question or request. Every team member has many jobs to do and I don't know when they are able to take a break. Therefore it remains unknown to me how they can keep up their efforts and attention to the customer. The rooms are just fantastic and of course so is the scenery. I could go on but you should experience all that by yourself.
Cons: Maybe at some point the music was a bit too loud in the dining room.

Loved it!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff do their utmost to help and give you a great time of lasting memories
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the cruise especially our son. 3D2N is well worth it as you get to go to more secluded areas away from the throngs of tourists. We had a beach to ourselves (those on our cruise only). It was also good to not have to make any decisions. Menu was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This cruise was amazing! It definitely exceeded our expectations. The itinerary is very good I think, especially on that second day! It was basically just 7 of us on Aphrodite cruises on a remote island, kayaking, and swimming. The food was absolutely delicious! They have a 5-course set menu Vietnamese lunch and dinner and each item on that menu was amazing. Check the photos. The rooms were very comfortable, a little smaller than hotel rooms but very luxurious and comfortable. The summary is Day 1 is quite touristy and a lot of people (outside the control of Aphrodite cruises) and Day 2 is quite and literally just people from the cruise which was 7 of us. So definitely do the 3D2N option. Sung sot is worth the walk. Ti top maybe not if you are not able. Just enjoy the swim instead. Day 2 I would highly recommend the fishing village and virgin cave. Very beautiful and relaxing time! The crew were amazing and they organized an amazing birthday surprise for my wife. You just need to let them know in advance. Check the photos for what they did. We were really impressed with them and because they are a smaller boat they really look after the guests really well. You definitely get more attention I think unlike the bigger cruise vessels. Prior to going I had done my research and found Aphrodite to be the most amazing value for money and now that I have experienced it I would highly highly recommend it, simply amazing.
Cons: No complaints about Aphrodite at all they were amazing. I know this is out of their control but the first day was too many people so just be prepared for it, it is better to go for 3D2N option in my opinion. The second day Aphrodite have organized was simply stunning and not another boat to be seen!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic cruise - wonderful staff, so friendly and welcoming
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly and accommodating, food is great although there’s 5 courses for each meal! The excursions are a great way to see Ha Long Bay but two night trip had much more to offer than the one night - we were glad to have picked that one.
Cons: Prices for drinks on the cruise were quite high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from start to finish
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The three day /two night cruise is the best option to properly see the bay and the cruise itinerary gives you a good mix of the popular (day 1) and less busy sights (day 2). The ship isn't new but that gives it a lot more charm than many of the newer junkers and the amenities are all very good and new (comfy beds and great ac). Meals are what drew us to this cruise and there were lots of highlights of food in Vietnam were had.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We booked Aphrodite but were put on Hera cruise . So review is of HERA boat. Room was amazing . Bathroom with view of bay and private sun lounge all made you feel like millionaire. Dining room very nice with great views. Trip to cave was good. Cindy was a great host once we arrived dealing with our late check in very well.
Cons: Transfer costs are significantly overpriced and late advice of options puts you under pressure to book with them. We travelled independently to boat and had timing problems. The cruise should take more care that all their customers arrive at the cruise. It would be best if they call to check arrival times of independent travellers. Unfortunately I would say the food was poor taste and not well cooked. It was very well presented but was at best average taste . The boat like all the others does not cruise it simply sails for a little time to one place and anchors there for rest of the trip. the itinerary is very busy and creates pressure on staff and customers. Somehow they need to reduce the time pressure. For us i was best to cancel on most of trips and just to enjoy the wonderful boat.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, I have nothing negative to say.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow - this place is really beautiful. It's on a private island, and from shore it looks so grand. Up close it's even better. It's beautifully maintained and the gardens and grounds are incredibly well looked after and stunning! The pool area is huge and spacious - very relaxing. The rooms are big and elegantly decorated. The check-in process was faultless - and the boat transfer SO easy with minimal waiting around - seamless! We were so incredibly impressed by the service.
Cons: Maybe more choice of food at the pool bar. There was only the choice of burgers or steak sandwich! Buffet for dinner is pretty expensive too (700k).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Big bed, great pool
Cons: The buffet breakfast not many options for westerners, room service menu wasn’t very good, got the wrong pizza, sandwiches did not have the filling advertised on the menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel, 5 star welcoming and service! Prices for drinks - really friendly if u think it’s 5star hotel! About 70k vnd for beer, 50 k soft drinks
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Truly magnificent resort , we had a few issues with the freshness and quality of some of the food.which was dealt with promptly and efficiently . Staff were excellent .
Cons: Gets very noisy - at breakfast Incredible facilities for child care but no one uses them - The restaurants should have different menus . great restaurant fit outs should have fabulous food.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is simply perfect and with a very efficient boat to transfer people to mainland. Pool and structure of the hotel is amazing.
Cons: Breakfast was ok, very large but not many western options. Staff of the hotel had lot of difficulties with English which sometimes could even compromise the understanding. We had a very bad experience when we arrived as the hotel forgot to book our transfer from Hanoi and we had to find a taxi at 3am to drive us 2,5 hours. They offered us an upgrade to a very nice room, so it was partially compensated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic! With views of Halong Bay from the pool and private beaches. It was easy to access the island with a 24/7 boat transfer every 20 min from a private harbor. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The food was delicious and they offered a larger selection of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Western options. They had movie nights with open air seating on the beach with very comfortable seating.
Cons: There are a lot of families with children. The children were very loud. When we complained, the hotel did what they could to speak with the parents. However, every day at 7:00 a.m. there were kids running up and down the hallways making loud noises.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A separate island with 2 huge outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool. It's an amazing resort.
Cons: they forgot to change my room from twin to a double bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View, beach and facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. When we stayed, there were very few guests - if resort full, I suspect the experience would be different and less relaxing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay on board. We did the 1 night trip. Seamless from start to finish. Additional fee for transfer from hotel to Halong Bay was well worth it, comfortable journey with wifi! Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff welcoming, food very good. My husband has a nut allergy and this was carefully dealt with. Halong Bay speaks for itself. Trip to the Surprise Cave was interesting and worthwhile. Morning climb to viewpoint and dip in the sea was a nice way to finish. Again, transfer back to hotel in Hanoi was seamless.
7.5 Good
Cons: This is clearly a beautiful place and needs to be preserved, however it is sadly getting polluted by all the tourist boats with rubbish floating in the sea. Therefore mixed feelings as often the case in Asia. Glass refillable bottles in this boat showing the way forward, but much more needs to be done.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and out guide Rose made sure we were happy. We really enjoyed the food, the lunch on arrivals was very nice! The highlight for us were the activities offered, especially the kayaking.
Cons: It is a regimented programme with little time to relax if only staying for 1 night. It is worth noting that drinks are an additional cost and relatively pricey.
7.1 Good
Pros: Overall the staff was amazing and it was a really nice boat. If you're committed to Halong Bay this is a really good company.
Cons: This might not be fault of Indochina but Halong Bay has become so tourist filled. It felt very rushed at times and very scripted.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The boat was very nice, in good condition and staff very helpful and friendly.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and polite. We enjoyed our excursions and didn’t feel crowded by other people.
Cons: WiFi on the boat wasn’t working
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, food was good and the rooms were amazing, loved the bathroom. I LOVED the cooking demonstration, staff couldnt have been better.
Cons: This is no fault of the staff but I did not like that they dont let you bring bottled water to the excursions. They say its for environmental reasons but really they just want you to buy water on the islands. Again, not a complain against the staff it is the cruise companies fault.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice ship, program was alright although at times limited. Great food
Cons: Don't go in the week-end, you may run into groups of Viet customers with children which disrupt your calm holiday out. Drinks expensive, and happy hour starts late (after 9pm)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a highlight of our trip, I was sad to leave and would have liked to have stayed another night. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating with my dietary needs which I really appreciated. The trips were long enough to have a look at different places but didn't feel like we lingered and wasted time. I think with everything that's on offer, it was great value for money. I would highly recommend this trip for a little luxury.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great nice hosts
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Food in all meals is amazing! Nice music. Super friendly and helpful cruise team.
Cons: Wifi and air-conditioner location at room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Halong bay it is just stunning it is a huge must and with paradise cruise you will enjoy it. The staff, the food on board and the room was pure perfection.
Cons: Not many activities during the cruise, and it is not 3 days 2 nights cruise it is more like 2 days 2 nights as your are checking in at 12am and checking out 2 days later at 11 am, so basically you are not even 48h on the boat

Cons: Hard mattress and very thin blanket. The itinerary were being rushed compared to what’s been emailed before checking-in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The boat was clean with comfortable room & very good hot shower. Food was good & staff were outstanding!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Halong Bay Landscape
Cons: Halong Bay is a wonderful place but Legacy Cruise definitely is not an option: Just after paying, they informed me that the three day/two night tours I booked was not available because I was the only person who booked it. They proposed me to transfer to another cruise for the second day, and there I repeated the same activities. They wanted me to pay all the trip 48 hours before by online unsafe methods. I didn't accept and when I was there they charged me with an extra 3% tax that was not stipulated in the conditions. Guides were always friendly, the place is amazing although overcrowded and some tourists make it difficult to enjoy, but Legacy cruise management is awful.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - Very nice and clean rooms - Professional and supportive staffs - Accurate timing schedule
Cons: Lack of seafood
7.9 Good
Pros: The ship is pleasant and the staff nice and professional. The tours were touristy but well organized. You always have the freedom to stay aboard if you prefer. Staff is very kind and very attentive. The food was good and plenty. We got very lucky with the group we got to share the boat with. We were only 21 guests for a boat with capacity for 80 people. It was relaxing and very quiet and enjoyable.
Cons: We booked a rountrip transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay with Emeraude and they lost our luggage on the way back to Hanoi. On the way to Hanoi we got in a coach and close to Hanoi we were asked to switch to a smaller van which would be taking us to our hotel. Once we got to our hotel and we were due to collect our luggage the staff could not find them in the trunk. They apologised and reassured us that it should have been a mistake and our luggage never got moved from the coach to the mini van. They promised to be back in 15 mins with our luggage. After waiting for over 1h without any news we contacted Emeraude and were told that they did not know where our luggage was. Well my husband and I have been travelling for the last 4 months and are planning to be running for a couple of months more, so you can imagine our panic when Emeraude was unable to locate our luggage. We really thought that our trip was over! After a few calls we were told that our luggage never got moved from the cruise to the marina. As per instructions given by the staff in the cruise we left our luggage in front of our cabin and were told by the staff that it would be moved to the marina and to the coach. Nevertheless to say that the cruise was already sailing with our luggage aboard. Emeraude managed to delivered our luggage by night time and were expecting us to be super thankful because as we have been told they did 45 min by speedboat to drop our luggage from the cruise to the marina and then another 170km by private car to deliver our luggage to our hotel! Please if you book a transfer with them make sure to check your luggage! Regarding the cruise itself, the bathroom needs some refreshment. Lunch on the first day was poor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful historical boat, food was great and staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Uncomfortable beds and lack of internet
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not much to be honest. Ha Long Bay is beautiful but tourism like this has ruined it. Every sight is filled with swarms of people, the activities are highly controlled and sterile of any real enjoyment. You can’t swim in the bay except for 30 mins in a cordoned off area of a man made beach with the guests of 10 other ships so you’re basically in a sticky polluted suncreamed tourist soup. You can kayak sure, for about 20 mins again in a corderned off area. Want to explore a cave? Great?! But you’ll have to get up there at a glacial pace as you que all the way up the 600 steps to the top as Vietnamese and Chinese tourists for some reason try pushing past you constantly as if it’s going to get them there any faster. Food was okay, I actually found the Vietnamese food served at lunch to be pretty poor quality and I ended up not eating much of my plate which is odd for me as I love Vietnamese food. It had a strange flavour. The western food in the evening was quite nice and I liked that breakfast included grilled tomatoes and beans.
Cons: Room smelt of damp Bed was rock solid Drinks are 4x more expensive than on the shore The staff were so unhelpful they ruined the trip and we left a day early. We booked a 2 day 3 night trip and were happy with the itinerary which said our second day would be spent exploring various caves and islands etc on our own without the 1 night people. After dinner the ship manager came over to us and explained we wouldn’t be doing that but instead would be taking a boat to the market in Ha Long and would spend the morning there before coming back to port and meeting the new passengers then we would repeat everything we did on the first day again. We told her we had spent money to be in the bay on a boat not at a market and that we didn’t want to see the same sights all over again. We spent hours speaking to her about this, mainly because she wouldn’t leave us alone. We had many debates about why we wouldn’t want to go to a market or do the same things twice, and we spoke to the main customer service team on the phone a number of times as they were refusing to let us cancel because of booking.com commission which we said we would pay if necessary. The next morning I had emails saying that the itinerary was not just the market and the manager told me that this is not what she had said and it was just her poor English that was the problem but she had seen the itinerary now as it had been emailed to her and we could do all of those things if we wanted. Clearly that makes no sense, either she knew the itinerary before and explained it totally wrong or she received it later by email and decided we could do that but it can’t be both. Its very strange to say it’s the fault of her English considering the long conversations we had all about the market and doing the same activities again. If she cannot speak the language of the majority of her guests well enough to regurgitate an itinerary that they must run quite regularly then perhaps she is not in the right role.

Pros: Emeraude created the perfect surroundings for exploring Halong Bay. The staff was very helpful, the food was delicious, program well organised. A little detail such as the week chosen background music at the sun deck and during meals was nice. I will definitely recommend Emeraude!

Pros: The food was great and the service very good. The Paul Roque room was the stand out as it included a private deck area at the front of the boat on the second floor.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and kind. The food was very delicious. They gave us a better room, it was amazing. Thank you all for an amazing cruise. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely fantastic. Food was glorious and plenty of it. We had a great tour guy named Tony and Alex on board was very helpful. An unexpected upgrade to the Royal Suite was amazing. I was celebrating my 50th birthday on board and was supplied a cake. I could not fault anything with the trip. It exceeded all my expectations. It was also a smaller cruise which is what i prefer.
Cons: Lack if internet was our major issue and no free water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our original boat was cancelled and so they upgraded us to the Seaseekers Cruise. Everything was of the highest quality. It seemed that no expense was spared and we had a huge range of activities to do at all times (including 6am on Day 2 if we wanted). This meant the 24 hours on the boat felt much longer and time was maximised. Highly recommend.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff on board were very intentive and helpful.Activities were fun.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Halong bay,the food
Cons: We booked a Royal Plaace because the still ,and instead we found out on the arrival that we on a different boat. Room wasn't ready for us with 2 single beds and had to wait until found us a room. Stuff don't understand English and put you in uncomfortable situations.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Alex, the manager, and his crew, are so energetic and engaged in doing things for the satisfaction of the client. They are always there for answering our questions and to accommodate everyone. Everything is so well organized. The meals are incredibly tasty and there is a lot! Only seafood in two days. I was there with my family (husband and 3 teens). We had the Deluxe rooms with private balcony. One of our best in 3 weeks in Vietnam.
Cons: Ha Long Bay is VERY touristic. But it is wonderful. So you will probably go there anyway. If you choose to go, do it in Royal Palace Cruise. And take time to read about how the trip is going on in 2019 to not be too disappointed about activities, beach, plastics in the sea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views from the boat were amazing. The boat itself was beautifull and well equiped. Our room was very clean. The staff was very friendly! We also had a very nice English speaking guide! She helped us with all our questions and problems. We had problems with our visacard but she helped us out and helped us book a bus too another destination. She even send us a text too ask if we arrived safely! She was the best tourguide i have ever had. Can't recommend this cruise enough!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Boat was nice, our room was on the top floor really worth it. Boat staff was really helpful and Ian (our guide) was always lovely. Boat is clean, big, classic in style and comfortable.

Cons: I was shocked at how bad this hotel was and am confused by the positive ratings. There was construction from 7:30am to 5pm that was very loud- no sleeping in. We were sold a tour that was terrible and way overpriced. Staff members tried to sell us side services. The AC did not work properly. The staff was not very friendly. Really bad experience. I will never stay at a Wyndham again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great facility, everything 5 star. Staff were so helpful. Especially many thanks to Ms Trang who upgraded our room to one with the sea view after some inconvenience we had encountered in our original room.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Was very clear and very comfortable recomend to take the boat tour
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The sea and night views are excellent from my corner room and from my bathtub. The bed is very comfy and good. The room is great. The breakfast is great!
Cons: It was a very big shock for me to park my rented bike 2 levels in the below basement which is very sandy, dusty and dirty which looks like a cave hideout. This is the worst carpark i had ever come across in my 30 years travel. The carpark standard is worse than a 1 ⭐️ hotel standard. There is no lift access from the carpark and i have to walk through the carpark drive in route slopes with my suits and polished shoes and my partner is wearing evening dress and heels, walking through the sandy dusty floors. I thought I parked in the wrong place but it was confirmed that i parked in the Wyndham Legend carpark. I had requested to park my bike the same as other cars which are parking near the front entrance and it was rejected and i got a reply that only the cars can be parked in front of the hotel but not the bikes. I am very disappointed. Another thing I was shocked and disappointed that Wyndham is unable to charter me a rented bike while I had stayed in 3 ⭐️ and 4⭐️ hotels in Vietnam which all are able to send the rented bike to right in front of the lobby and informed me that my bike is ready. But Windham staff tell me to walk to the rented bike shop to rent it myself. It was a shocking service standard which I never expect this from the prestigious Wyndham.
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was ok and clean.
Cons: The reception personal was extremely unhelpful. When asking for help to find transport to Ninh Binh they pretended not to know about any public transport except for going to Hanoi and just sent us to the bus station. They obviously just wanted us to rent a private car from the hotel and were not willing to help with anything else. There is construction work going on in the pool area. Extremely loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff upgraded us for free, beside they help us call local agencies to facilitate our cruise. The hotel rooms are quite big and the views amazing. The security guard also helped us find taxi every time we went out.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant a la cart, front view, people working there are very polite and high services. Rooms like a 5star hotel.
Cons: Breakfast not in European standards for a 5 star hotel plus the price. Non availability of a coffee machine making a cappuccino, hot chocolate, late etc. Below expectations the variety of foods.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very nice and spacious, with comfortable beds.. Stunning view of the bay! Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Fantastic pool and gym area.
Cons: The rooms had a mouldy/musty smell which was not nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing property with fantastic views. The bed was incredible. The room service was delicious and the breakfast buffet was huge. I had a great stay.
Cons: The tour desk wasn't able to help me book a spa visit. I was a little disappointed. I was able to find a spa on my own so it worked out.

Cons: Everything was good except the bed which was not too comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff is a plus, breakfast, restaurant, spa, electric car to and from the hotel. Overall very good !
Cons: In the room there were three lights hanging from the ceiling which are part of the decoration but it blocked the way around the room when moving close to the wondow. People might hit their heads on that of they do not watch out. That is the only thing I did not like, it is a small detail.

Cons: Every thing Good
6.0 Good
Pros: Room is large and clean, so we can stay very comfortable. Breakfast was so wide range cuisines, we could enjoy that. Also, the hotel fee is not expensive, so very high ROI for that.
Cons: It located at the east end of the peninsula. So, it needs to take a long walk to reach the city center. That is not serious problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good and great value! The hotel organised an amazing day trip to Halong Bay that was really cheap!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stuff was awesome! Thank you.
Cons: Old furniture, walls and ceiling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and taff
Cons: Nothing
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. Nice shower. Great buffet breakfast. And the staff was really greta to me. I was getting sick and it was bad weather and the staff treated me excellent even though I probably wasn't at my best.
Cons: Halong Bay in general. This is by means no reflection on the hotel, but Halong Bay is way over priced for Vietnam and it being over developed with no good food or nightlife, and I say that in comparison to Saigon or Hanoi or Nha Trang not to the US or other places. If you do get stuck here, Halong Plaza Hotel is a good hotel and a fair price to stay at.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Centralized. Nice view ..breakfast is great
Cons: Hair dryer need update...room is decent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have been travelling for 4 months and this hotel is by far the best by miles. The whole hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond to cater our every need. If you are staying in Ha Long Bay you should stay here. Staff amazing Food amazing Pool amazing Room amazing Everything amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very well situated within easy walking distance to the amusement park where you take the cable car up to Sun World. There are plenty of local eating and drinking facilities close by.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike with this hotel.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: I paid $150 USD compared to the other $310 offer I received for a solo traveler. I was over being around tourists at this point at the staff was awesome. They let me eat on the stern where they prepare the food and left me alone when for the most part. The crew were really amazing. Hung out with most via Google Translate and Minh the tour guide late night just shooting the s**t. Food was very good and bed was comfortable.
Cons: Nothing. Cruise was great for the price. I believe they offer a shuttle from Hanoi. Halong Bay is over priced for Vietnam, being over developed and has no good places to eat (I'm talking about 50,000 dong pho and com chien place too). Take the shuttle from Hanoi and don't bother with Halong Bay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food, friendly staff and good value for money
Cons: No Thai chee but that was due to rain!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and very friendly Extra touch with the honeymoon setup And the boat was amazing
Cons: Bar prices were a little expensive about the same as the uk
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were the best part, very friendly and nice.
Cons: The boat is smaller than I thought but good for the value.
6.7 Good
Pros: Meals
Cons: Speaking English staff poor
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff /crew was great, program on offer was well executed, food was tops - in taste, presentation, variety and volume. We simply loved the overall experience. Within 24 hrs prior to the tour we were upgraded at no additional cost to the Rosa boutique tour.
Cons: I would really have to nitpick if I wanted to say anything negative about the entire experience with the Rosa team
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tin Tin was happy, very helpful and a lovely guide!
Cons: Meals were a little disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded from Rosa to Doris cruise, so that was already an excellent start. The food was delicious and in abundance. We could not have asked for better staff, they were extremely nice, friendly and caring. The whole itinerary was on the spot and left room for some relaxing time on this new luxury boat. We had the best time in ha long bay. Thanks for everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was very happy to have been upgraded to the new Doris Cruise, which most people seemed to have been. The food was absolutely fantastic and freshly prepared for each meal. There were lots of great activities including (kayaking, swimming, cycling on Catba island, fishing, cooking class, sightseeing). The facilities were superb. A special mention to Sam who went out of his way to make it the best experience possible.
Cons: Could of done with an itinerary with times included so I knew what was happening and when without having to remember all the details. Also there wasn’t a huge amount of time on the boat itself, bearing in mind it was so beautiful it would’ve been good to have a bit more time to relax and enjoy the facilities it had onboard.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are great and do everything to help make your stay extra special. All the food is super tasty and fresh. Halong Bay is beautiful.
Cons: The activities felt rushed and for the price you pay you don't even spend 24 hours aboard the boat. Day 2 felt boring and was a lot of sitting around whilst also being rushed. We returned from the cave at 8.50am and had to take showers and pack before check out at 9.30. but then no other activity was done until maybe 10.30. You're allocated a table when you get there and have to sit there for every meal. We had to share the table and food with strangers. There is so much food that is wasted it's quite sad to see. The bus journey is very uncomfortable and bumpy. We asked to pay via booking.com which the company agreed to. When we boarded the ship we were told the company couldn't take the money via booking.com but never notified of this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommended. It’s like a 5 star hotel on a boat. The room and facilities in general were very clean and worked well. Meals included are very good. Good staff. Kayaking was great and diving into the water from the boat was the best.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Ha Long and Bai Tu Bay
Cons: Mechanical in nature. Not much cruising just sitting at Anchor. Kayaks very uncomfortable. Not much information given. Day cruise boat food was awful.
6.0 Good
Pros: La planificación y las actividades fueron perfectas.
Cons: Si quieres beber algo tienes que pagar aparte por ello, no se incluye ni una botella de agua.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All meals were excellent and the bar service was outstanding! Comfortable rooms and facilities. Every step was taken care of with a variety of activities for all.
Cons: Different guides were hard to keep track of.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Our boat and cabin were very comfortable, with good facilities. All meals were good and very filling... The whole experience and scenery was amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Swan Cruises picked us up at our AirBnb in the French Quarter of Hanoi and it was a great trip from the very beginning. The food on the boat was amazing the first day, both lunch and dinner. We had quite a bit of wine. Kayaking to the little quiet beach was great! Breakfast on the second day seemed a bit hectic, then we were told to go to a second boat for the second half of our cruise. Kayaking to a cave that we got to see without the crowds was a treat. Lunch on that boat was also excellent. Cruising the karsts in Halong Bay is an amazing experience! The bartender, Lam, was also great! Duc, the last tour guide on our cruise was funny, warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. He went above and beyond our expectations by helping to arrange transportation for the 5 of us to Cat Ba Island's Beo Port so we could get to our next destination. It was quite the stitched itinerary of short bus to big bus to speed boat to another bus before we got to Beo Port. Very impressive! Excellent value! It cruises the quieter bay further east instead of the busy touristy Halong Bay.
Cons: Dinner on the second night was a bit of a disappointment, as well as breakfast and lunch on the third day, but that was because of the excellent food from the first lunch and dinner. The boat is a bit grimey, but I suppose all non-luxury-cruise-ships will have grime. They don't enter your room to clean it from when you check in to when you check out. You leave dirty towels outside to be changed for new ones, but I'm still glad we did the two nights instead of the one night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Price was high
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Swan cruises put on a excellent tour around the beautiful Halong Bay - our guide, Daisy, was fantastic and the activities were great fun. The boat was comfortable and the food was tasty!
Cons: The only thing I would change was the room - we had a room next to the engine and it smelled very strongly of diesel overnight.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, from the cruise itself to staff, activities... Everything.
Cons: Hidden Charges of 3,5% if you want to pay with credit card.

Cons: The hotel needs better upkeep as the carpet was quite dirty and stained.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff at Reception were very warm and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a corner apartment with windows to the front and to the side. Panoramic views and everything about the room was beautiful. Breakfast included with Western options as well as Vietnamese. One of the restaurant’s manager’s was particularly great and we were sorry not to learn his name properly. We were really well looked after there.
Cons: They’ve built an amusement park in front of it. Through the day it looked a bit sprawling but at night you couldn’t see it. It was a quiet park and closed early. Just wasn’t what we expected at Halong Bay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The facilities and rooms were a little dated but the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the staff was nice. The pool was clean and water was refreshing.
Cons: Carpet in the room looked like it would need a good cleaning. There was a hole made by cigarette on the headboard of the bed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: centre spot to go arround
Cons: breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the staff was amazing, the breakfast was great, pool was large, gym was okay. Location was perfect if you want to go to SunWorld. Mentioned the bathroom lighting was poor, and they changed bulbs that day which helped tremendously.
Cons: The carpets need replacing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our guide, Lucky Hoi, was fantastic, he looked after us well, was informative & was genuinely caring towards all passengers, made this a great experience. Definitely recommend joining his cruise
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our room (1 double and 1 single bed)four our family of 4, A/C and a small balcony with ful length windows to take in the view of the bay. The staff were lovely and Hai (our guide) was so friendly and helpful and was with us from the moment we were picked up from our accomodation in Hanoi from the moment we were dropped back off. The meals were great and there was so much! We dont eat pork and our son is vegatarian... they catered to our needs throughout our stay and made so much effort. Special attention was took for our children who recieved properly fitting life jackets which we really appreciated! Activities - - the kayaking was around an hour and was amazing (I went in a double kayak with my 9 year old). And my husband went with our 3 year old in a traditional Vietnamese boat that held about 6 people per boat. - There was a pearl farm stop on the way back from kayaking but thats not our thing so we just waited outside as it was really quick anyway. - Wine and fruit sunset party was really nice to get mix with the other guests and there were fruit juices for those that dont drink wine. - Squid fishing... again, wasn't our thing so we didn't participate in that activity. - Tai Chi morning class on the deck was really nice and our instructor was very enthusiastic. - Cave and beach trip was a really great trip! But you cannot swim in the sea (its some government rule)... paddling is allowed. - Cooking demonstration was great and hands on. Was perfect for the whole family and we made spring rolls. We dont eat pork so we had a separate veggie batch to make.
Cons: The only thing i can fault them on is I think water should be free. It was very expensive too... I think 2 dollars (around 45000 dong) for a small bottle of water which would really add up when it was so hot out and for a family. But we already heard about the drink prices so we brought our own water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great trip - very busy as lots to do! Kayaking, visiting a cave, squid fishing, karaoke, tai chi. Lots to eat too. They gave us lunch when we arrived, drinks and nibbles, dinner, breakfast - so much to eat! There were vegetarians in our group and there were very accommodating. They cooked various veggie dishes. The beds were super comfy and the views were amazing. There was also plenty of space for everyone so not at all crowded.
Cons: Would like to have had a swim but there was no opportunity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wooden cabins, felt quite luxurious and the food was very good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Super friendly staff on board. excellent breakfast / lunch & diner
Cons: booked a 3 day 2 night cruise. sadly got calcelled after the 1st night due to expected bad weather
6.3 Good
Pros: We had a comfortable bed. Staff were attentive. Rooms were clean and there was plenty of food.
Cons: We weren’t given enough water. You had to pay quite a lot of drinks. No tea or coffee or snacks provided throughout the day. Our bathroom was not as clean as it should have been with hair around the place. The staff had very little idea of serving etiquette and we saw them littering. The cruise was not relaxing as it was jammed with activities. We had to completely check out of our room at 9am but didn’t leave the boat until 1pm. We had no chance o rest before the journey back to Hanoi. The boat was slightly aged and needs a refurb.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cruise staff were very helpful and friendly especially lucky who was our guide for the second day
Cons: There was too much food and a lot was wasted. Maybe concentrate on fewer but higher standard dishes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food exceeded our expectations Good your guide
Cons: You cannot swim in the bay totally ruined it for us Soo hot and that was what we were expecting Blamed on new government rules !!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food and the swimming + kayaking
Cons: They had no Idea what to do with the people who staked two nights

Cons: I wish they have bath tub
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice service & breakfast; good location, quiet with bay view.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location with a great view across a park. 800m from the beach. The rooms with balconies have great views. Excellent breakfast with a great mix of local Vietnamese food and Western food. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The room with 2 beds were tight. Hotel lobby and elevator area were a bit dark wish there were more light and better lit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was lovely and offered everything! The food was amazing with so many options to choose from. I would highly recommend the buffet. I did however fall sick but the staff especially one lady was very helpful. She got me a cab to take me to a pharmacy and wrote down my symptoms to pass on to the pharmacist. She waited with me until the cab arrived. The hotel was able to sell me slices of toast at a small price as I couldn’t eat anything else on the menu. The hotel was very accommodating. The hotel is in a great location. Very quiet and clean. We loved it. Very European style short walk to the beach
Cons: Price for food was expensive but expected for large hotel company
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The views of Halong Bay are amazing. Free spa vouchers were nice. Great location.
Cons: The smell of smoke in the foyer and even on the non smoking floor rooms due to centralised cooling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good. No complaint. Strongly recommended for family vacation and friends. An ideal hotel to stay for relax and friendly staff. Will come again for sure.
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room & staffs.
Cons: Breakfast variety, so many pork items which we do not like as we are tourist here & didn't get chicken/beef items or vegetables without pork.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff from the moment of our arrival were brilliant - extremely professional and welcoming. The rooms are massive with great views and the quality of the furnishings throughout are brilliant. The location is great if you’re looking for nice bars and good restaurants to eat at, a 5 min stroll away takes you to a newly built strip.
Cons: My only negative is the hotel restaurants. The pricing being a lot higher for food in comparison to restaurants nearby (that have beautiful views, amazing food etc). It’s a shame as discouraged us to eat there as there really isn’t anything extra special the restaurant offers to justify being expensive. The lack of customers eating there suggests we were not the only ones to think this.
6.7 Good
Cons: People are smoking everywhere even in elevators. Staff is not speaking english, i have found only one person, and he helped me alot. Others were just smiling and saying "sorry I cant understand you". Another thing is hotel is not trusting you at all.. you need to sign pappers for umbrella, they are checking its condition after the usage (in case of damage u have to pay), personal stopped me during my run in GYM in the middle of the process, as I need to sign somewhere with my room number.. They have a price for every Item in the room, and pricelist is present in the room Windows are very dirty
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were big and comfortable, and the sea view was nice too.
Cons: A bit further down the road from the night spot Sun World entertainment area. No free shuttle service to the above mentioned tourist spot and night market place nearby.
