Pros: Beautiful grounds, brilliant location right in middle of Ubud, yet it’s set back from the road, is peaceful and quiet. The staff are exceptional, professional, warm and welcoming.

Cons: The resort and facilities are getting a little tired / old now, rooms may be due for an upgrade in the next year or two. The pool could’ve been a bit cleaner.

Pros: The staff are exceptional, the pool area is superb and the spa is the best in ubud! Plus it was only a 2 minute walk to radiantly alive yoga centre. Safe area and central but also very quiet.

Cons: My shower wasn't great and I had a lot of ants in my room. It was a very expensive stay and I'm not sure it's the best value for money but it is a lovely hotel. Perhaps just on the expensive side! 10.30pm every night was manic dog barking (this is not the hotels fault) but it was very upsetting when trying to sleep.

Pros: EVERYTHING! A piece of paradise in the heart of Ubud. Central to major attractions. Walking distance to shopping/ markets and famous cafes. I stayed in the Suite - very big and nicely isolated from the other rooms allowing for all the privacy and peace. Room was massive offering a kitchen, dining area, lounge, huge bedroom and bathroom as well outside seating area and private outside dining area for those romantic dinners. Breakfast is ALL day so this helps with tours that get you up before sunrise. Breakfast can be consumed at the restaurant or in the comfort of your own room or poolside with no additional charge. Scrumptious afternoon tea. Best cooking class with the kindest chef in Ubud. Delightful morning floating breakfast basket. Beautiful pool overlooking all the trees. And THE BEST SPA in Ubud - Tejas. Staff are extremely kind, always going above and beyond your expectations.. very sweet and make you feel like family. I will definitely be back here next year!! Loved this place.

Pros: Everything was absolutely perfect...we came came back for more! We initially spent 2 nights here, then came back four days later (the best place we have stayed in Bali, infact for the past 5 years of travelling!) Perfectly located 30 seconds walk from the centre, yet faces the jungle. The pools are awe inspiring and the beautiful scent of the local plants adds to the charm. The facilities in the room are second to none and they even provided us with and iron and ironing board. But, the best thing about this delight is the staff, they are meticulous and so friendly and incredibly helpful. Thank you to everyone who works here...Amazing!

Pros: The pool was good and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

Cons: The food wasn’t good at all unfortunately, the hotel itself was overpriced in my opinion, there’s lots of other nice resorts in Ubud for the same price or cheaper.

Pros: The people are increadibly nice and the hotel is just a beauty!

Cons: The hotel restaurant is vegetarian or vegan and does not serve drinks like Coca Cola.

Pros: Location, room & pool were amazing. The staff were lovely and very helpful, they organised two tours for us to the rice paddies and a morning hike up Mt Batur. I also had a wonderful massage. It was a very relaxing stay.

Cons: The breakfast could have been better – some of it was a bit bland. The choice was good but restricting if you wanted things from different set menus.

Pros: Super friendly staff. Perfect location. Style and ambiance of hotel. One hoghlight the vegan high tea!! Absolutely delicious and a new exiting experience. Will be back!

Cons: Honestly I liked the resort however they constantly put things on your tab and looking back when we booked a transportation they had a fee on the bill that wasn’t discussed or advised I would of like to know. We booked a spa and found out that it was £200 which is 3 million indo rupee which was quite shocking we was only told the price at the end of treatment and wasn’t advised on what price would be. Apart from that it was great just be aware of what you are doing taking and agreeing to before signing recipts.

Pros: The hotel lays in the heart of jungle forest and it is very beautiful. It is also close to Ubud. The pools look amazing. And personnel is really very kind and helpful! We enjoyed the stay!

Cons: The room we stayed in looked a bit old and airco didn’t work for two days. Also the massages are quite expensive and I would not say they are pleasant. But may be they are healthy?)

Cons: Not a bad thing but more trialing on English is needed for some of the staff members just to match their excellent customer skills. Also there should be an option for floating breakfast even if you not in the Villa

Pros: The private pool was incredible however a little bit cold, the main pool was beautiful, no need to run for a sun lounger. Pool staff brought round water throughout the day. Staff were very attentive throughout our whole stay.

Pros: The staff were very attentive and accommodating. All staff members knew your name. Agus in particular was lovely and went out of his way to be friendly. The facilities were incredible. I stayed in a villa which was very private and had all added comfort items.

Monkey invasions are a cute bonus that we loved! - nothing to worry about, just don't feed them and keep your belongings inside.

Pros: This is the only hotel that I feel the staff is so superb and warm that makes me feel I am home. My local language did help. Room is comfortable and the environment is quiet. I did not eat heavy lunch as the afternoon tea is appealing with change in variety. I will come back again

Pros: We stayed in One room pool villa for 7 days with our 3yo daughter. Room was spacious and sparkle clean. I could feel it there was much love to details in everywhere. you feel special and welcome in this hotel. Every staff (reception, restaurant, pool bar, cleaning staff, facility staff.....everyone) was so polite, attentive and professional. yet i could feel their hospitality from their heart. Infinity pool in the room was gorgeous. but we loved to go to the big infinity pool as well. there you can get the feeling as if you swim in the middle of jungle. Menu for the room service was exactly same as in the restaurant, therefore i didn't feel guilty to dine in the room. Especially we enjoyed our breakfast daily in our room. Breakfast is no buffet style, there are 4 main course which will change everyday. We could see that this hotel try to reduce the waste. Amenities (shampoo, body soap etc) was refilled in the reusable plastic bottles, simple packages. the quantiy of dishes in restaurant was also reasonable and not too much. the quality was super good. Spa facility was super lovely. I enjoyed divine massage while I hear the murmuring of the river in the semi opened massage room. It was heavenly 7 days in this hotel. One of our favourite hotel in Bali!

Pros: Hospitality at its finest, all staff are very polite and welcoming. View was the best, from inside and outside the room. Room is big, clean and new, with a lot of facilities, simply the best room I had in a hotel, ever. Wifi with a strong signal. TV has many varieties, including football world cup games for free. Restaurant with a great recipes.

Cons: - The hotel looks old and used (except reception) - totally do not worth the money - Passthrough part of hotel near Main restaurant - it noisy, stinky (because of open kitchen), dark - we are really do not understand that - how could anybody to design this terrible coridor?????? - Main restaurant looks like from 90s and the food is poor quality (lunch/dinner) - Construction site just few metres from our villa. It horrible when you pay such huge money for private villa in garden and all day you hear annoying noises like power drill, hammers, ect. - There is something in villa or near villa what produce roar noise, its tottaly terrible. Its like loud A/C, or fan (in the bedroom under the living room) - The Gym (fitness) is a joke... :D THere is nothing in it! :D

Pros: The grounds that the Chedi on are stunning, lots of gardens, water features and surrounded by lush rice terraces.

Cons: Unfortunately our overall our stay at the Chedi felt decidedly average. We had told them in advance when we were arriving but there still seemed to be some bluster and air of not expecting us when we got there. Even though I'd updated credit card details in advance and we'd successfully pre-paid for one of the nights, it was brought up on more than one occasion that the card I'd originally booked with was no longer working, despite them having our new card details. The rooms themselves were the biggest disappointment, they are dated, small, tired and in need of a renovation. Things feel old to the point of grubby in some instances e.g. the sun loungers outside were badly stained, there's a Bose sound system but it doesn't have bluetooth so you can't connect to Spotify etc. There was just a very low level of personalisation throughout, or even remembering what was covered in our booking, as we booked 3 nights+ a hot air balloon ride was included as a bonus on booking.com - we got it complimentary in the end, but not before we were asked to pay for it, twice and in one instance someone actually ran after us through the rice terrance to sign for it! I always try to match my expectations to what we are spending per night and the fact is this is seriously overpriced (we paid around €530 a night) next to other stunning properties available in Bali.
