Location and beach are great! Nice touch with providing nice chairs, not many other properties provide this service. The fire pits are also a nice touch during the evening.
Unable to get into our room until 1 hour after hotel posted 4pm check in time. Front desk representatives appeared empathetic, but didn’t help getting into our room. Frustrating considering we arrived at the hotel at 11am. Meal wait times at Sloppy Joe’s and the Cafe were horrible. Took 1.5 hours to get our meals at Sloppy Joe’s on a Sunday night. Then took an hour to get breakfast orders served and one order never arrived until we complained to manager. Then when it arrived it was wrong. Must have been a bad morning because other guests were also having similar issues. First and likely last visit we make to the Bilmar Beach Resort.
Great view, friendly staff, and great value
We booked a room with a balcony and the view of the ocean was great. The room was very clean, and to our surprise had a pretty nice kitchenette. The beach was not crowded at all, which was very nice. The resort fee included daily free kayak or paddle board rental, which we took advantage of everyday with no wait. It also included free beach chairs, but we brought our own so we could have saved on room in the car had we known beforehand. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend The Bilmar to anyone looking to enjoying Treasure Island.
The only negative thing about our stay was that our room was not ready for us to check in until about 4:40, and check in was at 4:00. Not a big deal since we were able to hang out by the pool while we waited.
Easy walk to variety of restaurants and shops. Very short drive to other destinations.
no rooms
We booked our room and we're charged but when we arrived there were no rooms available and I still have not received my refund...which did put us on a bind that was 500 dollars that we didn't have for the rest of our trip...very sissappoints
Cheerful rom with great views
A little noisy
Fees I didn't expect, but nice place overall.
Beach front, lots of stuff going on in general area, convenient etc.
There were some fees that brought the nightly price from what I thought was a real bargain, right up to lots of other places in the area that I usually stay. I'm sure the fees were disclosed somewhere when I booked the room online but it raised the room price quite a bit compared to the $93 per night (plus fees) I thought I was paying. It seemed a tad sneaky to me and I wouldn't stay here again because of this.
Perfect location for a Treasure Island getaway
We have stayed at Bilmar many times and always have a great visit. The rooms are spotless, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast at Bazzie's Beach Cafe are excellent. Walk from your room to the immense Treasure Island beach, or just a few minutes' drive to a dozen other T.I. attractions.
They should install pneumatic wheels on the hotel laundry and housekeeping trolleys -- they make an incredible amount of noise going past your room on the brick corridors, and always seem to be busiest when we are trying to nap!
Family friendly fun
The view was spectacular. It was fun having the use of free bicycles, ocean kayaks and paddle boards. The food options were great.
They didn't clean our room everyday. One day all they did was make the beds. No trash was taken out and they didn't vacuum the floor. With two toddlers in diapers the trash needed to be emptied every day and the floor vacuumed.
expensive
clean, and very hospitable staff very nice shampoo and conditioner and soap! Location on beach is very convienent
the cost - one night 197.00 way too expensive
Access to beautiful beaches!
Rooms and bathrooms were small. No fan in bathroom-hot. Bartenders were rude.
Disappointed
Beach front. lots of restaurants nearby, large beach and good walking trail. good location but the facilities are old but good.
The front desk was very subtle, beware of stingrays and surprise charges. Paid $134.40 plus $15 and got the worst room in the resort, dark, dingy room with no view whatsoever, they had mentioned that it had a pool view, not thru the window but thru the door peephole. Walls on both sides plus small windows. The facilities were good, the room was very clean but found couple of live roaches. The rooms are noisy. On checkout they charged me a resort fee of $15 plus tax for parking and amenities, which they never mentioned at booking, check-in or in the fine print. They say complimentary parking but they get us somehow or the other. I had 4 days off and was so glad that I stayed only one day, they are several great places nearby. I saved some money there. The beach was great and had lot of fun. The weather was excellent. The food at the restaurant was ok, I had to get the bill corrected three time – watch out like a hawk. Money greedy people. Not worth the money.
We had a room overlooking one of the pools and the beach and we loved it! The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was close to all the places that we wanted to visit. It was a great experience!
Besides the obvious, beach front: the people were great. I will recomend to all my frends.
Relaxing on the beah and the conveience of Sloopy Joe's!
location, location, location
nothing!
Everything about the hotel and staff is excellent. Staff always pleasant and very helpful.
Oceanview with easy access to shopping, restaurants and water. Close to other areas to investigate.
Shortage of parking at hotel when there wedding events.
Location
Yes, the man that greeted us tried to put us in a lower value room and stated that is what I booked, which it was not. Then I was told on check out that I had received an upgrade, which was not the case...that bothered me.
loved the gulf view

The pool was huge!!! Although it took until 12 noon for the sun to peak over the building.
Excellent staff, outstanding facillities, beautiful room, good proximity to local shopping.
Although in was white sand beach front, it was a very long walk accross the sand to the water.
The view from the room
Their dumpster is too close to the elevator and the smell was awfull
