The best part about the hotel was the staff - who were super friendly and helpful especially the concierge staff.
The lobby is nice but the room we were in felt dated. The bed was comfortable but the rest of the room was boring with furniture and furnishings from the 80s. Breakfast while good quality was uninspired and limited in variety. We stayed for 6 nights and never once were the breakfast items different. The gym was located far away from the main lift lobby and incurred a separate charge. For the exorbitant price we paid per night, this hotel and actually many hotels in Tokyo are not up to modern international standards in other major cities around the world.
Great location - close to bars and restaurants and train station where we could use our JR Passes. Lovely spacious rooms with a small balcony. Good quality toiletries. Friendly staff.
We didn’t have breakfast or use any of the facilities because they were quite expensive.
The garden suite rooms are an quiet, green, zen island of tranquility in a sea of hustling Tokyo. Amazing place for a family stay. Our favourite secret place in Tokyo.
Have to be over 20 to use the pool and visit the rooftop restaurant. Hot teenagers say what a nonsense!
Everything was perfect. The view from our balcony was exceptional. The food was lovely. Staff and room perfect.
This is a fantastic hotel set in park gardens right beside the Tokyo tower. It is a couple of minutes walk from a subway station and the hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to Hamamatsucho station every 30 mins, so the location is great and connections are easy. The surrounding park is lovely and there are also some really nice restaurants within walking distance. Every single member of staff that we encountered in the hotel was knowledgeable, friendly and was always willing to go out of their way to help. I really can’t praise the staff enough. We stayed in a king panoramic room and were delighted with it. The room is really large by Tokyo standards, very comfortable and comes with every convenience you can think of and fantastic views. The Sky Bar on the top (33rd) floor is a really cool bar with views of Tokyo tower and the surrounding Tokyo skyline. The food and drinks are great and the staff, as is the case throughout the hotel, are fantastic. The bar also seems popular with non-guests, which is a good sign as to its quality. We also ate in the hotel’s sushi restaurant which has views of the waterfall in the surrounding gardens. Again, the food and staff were both brilliant. Great hotel. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Tokyo.
The only downside is the extra cost for using the gym. This should really be included in the room rate. The food and drinks within the hotel are generally expensive but no more than normal in hotels of this type and, as mentioned above, the Sky Bar and Sushi Restaurant were both fantastic.
