Pros:Very good restaurant (the Tenpura counter is great); and a good cigar bar that plays nice jazz, convenient, quiet location. Regular staff are very friendly and attentive.
Cons:¥1650 for a tiny, I'll-equipped gym whether or not you use the spa; very slow internet (can't download large files unless it's over a whole evening); was given a smoking room even though I requested non-smoking and it is on my lifetime Gold profile; no coffee pot or even instant coffee, forcing me to buy the room service coffee. Hotel management couldn't care less about comments or complaints.

Pros:This is a great Sheraton Hotel property. The staff is first class and the accommodations were excellent.
Cons:If I had to list a negative, it's not in the hotel itself, but in the somewhat out of the way location. There is a 10+ minute transient, by foot, from the closest subway stattoo. The hotel does, however provide a frequent bus bridge between the hotel and another nearby subway station.

Pros:Our accommodations were comfortable -- larger rooms than the norm in Tokyo. The neighborhood is quiet, upscale residential, but shops are just 5 (long) blocks away, and a 5-minute ride on the free shuttle bus takes you to Meguro Station with its many surrounding shops/restaurants and its easy access to the rest of Tokyo. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. There's free internet, coffee maker, and teapot in the room with supplies. The lobby bar features live soft jazz, features a view of the lovely garden. Shuttle bus to Narita runs at convenient times -- reserve in advance.
Cons:Miyako is showing its age. Our bathrooms (during 2 stays) were half remodeled; they need to do the other half and update the rooms. Room lighting is dim, not a problem during the day thanks to the huge windows but a bother at night. Transport from Haneda to the hotel is a problem. The last bus is 2 pm and a taxi is $60. Some advice: like Tokyo hotels in general Miyako's restaurants are expensive and laundry charges are ridiculous. Go out to eat and wash your clothes. There are lots of good restaurants with reasonable prices around Meguro station, and the concierge directed us to a coin laundry a short walk from the Shirokanedae station, where the shuttle bus stops on request.
