Location is convenient with subway at the basement of the hotel. The hotel has a very nice garden on 5th floor.
1. Staff - all the staff that we encountered during our 3 night stay was helpful, polite, friendly and went out of their way to help. The manager greeted us whilst we were waiting to check in and was friendly and courteous even though we were too early to check in, we were lucky and our room was ready so they let us check in. Service is excellent with small touches such as getting the lift ready for you when you finish breakfast, greeting you when they see you around the hotel, the cleaner left a ‘weather’ chart to let us know what the weather forecast was going to be the next day etc... 2. Convenient location - next door to the airport bus to Narita and Haneda airports via private hotel walkway, similarly Suitengamae metro is directly underneath and also accessible via the hotel walkway, Tokyo station was only a few stops away, plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within a walking distance (there’s a family mart opposite), there’s a great park behind the hotel with climbing equipment that our kids enjoyed and you felt secluded from the hectic pace of Tokyo. Also on our last day, we took a walking map from the concierge and spent about 1-2hours walking around the neighbourhood, it gave descriptions on the shops and pictures, very helpful, wish we did it earlier to try the restaurants nearby.
1. Property was a bit dated - ie. we stayed in the executive suite and our bathroom had a shower/bathtub with a shower curtain - we used the bath floor mat to soak up the excess water and the towels were replaced the next day, older style toilet with a lever 2. Restaurants were pricey - we stayed during the typhoon and bought bread from the bakery for lunch and ate at the Japanese restaurant on the one night everything was closed, the cheapest dish was ¥2700.
The staff were wonderful. We booked the deluxe triple for our family of 3, which had great space and a nice luxury at the end of our trip. Facilities were excellent, great breakfast buffet. Having the airport bus terminal immediately adjacent to the hotel was very helpful for heading home.
For the large size room and the other luxury appointments, the bathrooms were smaller and more outdated than expected, but all clean and functional. Check in was a long process approx 20 minutes, which was hard to understand, compared to the check out which was 5 seconds.
The location just next to TCAT, Subway just down from the hotel elevator or escalator, many restaurants aroud the hotel, rooms are bigger than most hotels in Tokyo and very clean even if it is not a new hotel. This is our second time to stay hear ( last year we stays for 3 nights). We booked 3 rooms 3 nights in the wrong month and only realized a notificatoin letter from the hotel and booking.com. We asked for wisdom and recommended to re order from the same agent, we did that and when we checked in and asked about the error they told me that no penalty means free of cancellation. We really appreciate the decision made and are very grateful. We stayed back before returning home but encountered problems when checkin was not found our booking code, delayed almost 2 hours, we finally got the room and were surprised when we entered, all three of our rooms were upgraded, even when we had to extend 2 days because of typhoon and flight cancel still we could use our room even though we are booking a standard room. Thie hotel really gives satisfaction to guests who stay. Many thanks for your kindness. For sure we will stay again April 2020 and we will recommend this hotel to our friends.
Check in counter staff arguing that my reservation did not include breakfast for the kids, and the information “room with a view”, which makes you think that you gonna have a nice view of Tokyo Tower. I got a lower flower facing to the other side. Except from that, the hotel is really good and the location is really convenient. Easy access to Narita and Haneda airports and subway lines.
