My gf and I had a 24hr layover in Tokyo. We needed a place to stay that was ideally located for exploring the city as much as possible in just 24 hours. Apa Shibuya was a great choice, close to Shibuya Crossing and lots of trains, a short walk to fun shops, restaurants, and bars. Staff was lovely, wifi was good, bed was comfortable, room was immaculate. We considered a Ryokan for a more 'traditional' Japanese experience, but as it turned out, Apa offered a very 'Japanese' experience, with a level of attention to detail and comfort that felt distinctly Japanese to us, 2 experienced US travelers.Pros: Excellent combo of price, location, and comfort. The room, though small by US standards, was efficiently and exquisitely laid out and very clean. All toiletries were provided (including razors), nice touch.
Pros: location was excellent and price goodCons: rooms are small by american standards but obviously OK by japanese standards and certainly appropriate to hotel star category
