Everything was perfect
Perfect Staff are just the best
Great character. Nice bar and room had everything we needed for a comfortable night
We were in the anex which was absolutely freezing!! We were given an extra heater on asking but it was freezing when we arrived. Unfortunately we stated when the floods/storms arrived and the hotel reception flooded while we were in the bar. The poor night porter was left to deal with everything on his own and understandably was very stressed! He was fab and even told us about the history of the hotel and served us drinks between trying to stop the water entering the building! Thank you!
The breakfast was quite good, But this was the only aspect of stay which was reasonable. This Hotel left much to be desired and there was an obvious lack of professional management with inexperienced staff left to sort out any problems of which there were several.
Staff who cared about the hotel, it`s overall cleanliness, and took a pride in their work. In the dining room 4 of the party we were with could not eat the food which they ordered as it was inedible, the remaining 6 guests complained of poor quality ingredients and slow service. It was so bad that the "chef" left that night for good. The hotel staff were generally lacking motivation, with an obvious couldn`t care less attitude. At the end of our stay, every guest all said that they would never return to this hotel again, it really was a poor experience.
Went for Valentine's day/Night ver romantic dinner and excellent breakfast the next morning would highly recommend. And definitely will be staying at this location again as a weekend getaway.
