I booked last minute due to a change of work plans & it was a great find. Ate dinner and breakfast there and both meals weer spot on. The room was very good also.
I was overcharged when I checked out and when I called to get my money back I was told they were too busy, I'm still waiting for the call back.
The buildings are lovely, and the room was cosy, comfortable and attractive. The pub was lovely and atmospheric too, with good food and a fantastic sticky toffee pudding!
No vegetarian alternative to a full English breakfast :-(. For a pub which has an excellent range of vegetarian and vegan lunch and dinner options, it was strange and disappointing not to be offered veggie sausages and hash browns, for example, to replace bacon and sausages.
All the towels smelled of cooking oil, the smell reminded me of fish and chips' The toilet seat was old and worn out. The toilet roll was not accessible whilst using the toilet. No bath in the bathroom. the dirty towels left on the bathroom floor for changing were re-folded for re use.
Bed was very comfortable
It was sadly between two very busy roads , that surprised me as in the pics it seems very isolated, Wouldn’t return though
