Beautiful authentic wine castle with great restaurant, gardens and pool
Wonderful location. Accommodating staff. Beautiful room. Exquisite dining.
Beds were a bit box-spring-esque.
Castello di torano is everything I could of dreamed of. I travelled solo to the castle and everyone took such good care of me. I did the cooking class and I highly recommend. The chef is very knowledgeable and friendly. I also did wine tasting in the castle cellar which I highly recommend also. Daniela the manger is just the most wonderful hard working person, she taught me so much history of the area and made me feel right at home. All of the staff are kind and attentive. The castle offers a delicious daily breakfast with assortment of food. The restaurant is a delight to dine at for dinner. I can’t wait to return.
There are no negatives. The castle is exactly what you expect. A rustic, charming oasis. People who find negatives need to have a more open mind given they have booked to stay at an 11th century castle. It’s not a modern hotel.
Everything was amazing! The staff was super helpful and friendly! The food at the restaurant was so good! We did a cooking class with More which was so much fun and Lordana helped us plan our days! Will definitely be back! We miss it already!
Lousy experience Very very bad staff They put is in rooms without air conditioning while we reserved a suite!! Very bad food also Arrogant staff not helpfull
First of all you need to carry your luggage yourself from very far parking space nobody even offers to help you. Then they have a long story that they cant give you the suite we reserved since i travel with my two daughters alone Then the air conditioner doesnt work and nobody can fix it Dinner was bad and very small portions Arrogant cook who told us we didnt know a thing about truffle where we are truffle principessa s!! Next day still had to pay it all excluding the one room and a very unprofessional and unfriendly manager Daniela who kept saying this never hsppened before( as if I care) fix it and let me leave as a costomer who had been heard in stead of leaving angry and feeling tricked!
