Place looks lovely and you can easily get around sheffield via bus.
Beds were a bit small.
We do not eat cooked breakfasts at all so we were satisfied by the available range
We were visiting Sheffield for a family funeral so were not looking for a central spot Position of hotel toook a little finding but was more than satifactory
The history and condition of the property.
Unique historical hotel, almost like a motel but set in a 160 yr old barracks, with beautiful courtyard gardens. Staff all incredibly helpful and good breakfast. Fantastic value for money.
Decor a little dated, but very comfortable and clean so can’t complain - excellent value for money.
Location good for access from the west.
Rooms were gloomy because of overgrown greenery so had to keep the lights on, but this meant closing the curtains as one wall was all glass and people walked past to get to their rooms. Very noisy due to events in the hotel late night, people walking past and also standing smoking on the pavement outside the windows and the walkway on the first floor. Narrow, uneven external steps and walkways between car park and reception made access very difficult with case.
