Although not in the centre of the city, the hotel is located less than a mile from the train station and would have been walkable had the weather not been so unkind! Reception was friendly and efficient, the hotel environment is nicely presented and very clean. We stayed in a superior double room which was well appointed with multiple charging points, safe, hairdryer, kettle, fridge, tv, iron and board. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant with a selection of hot drinks and cold juices, cereals, continental breakfast and an extensive hot buffet selection.
The staff were friendly and polite and there was plenty of parking
Didnt realise parking was at an additional cost. The bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete... there was a gap between the bed and the head board so my pillows kept slipping down the gap the whole night. I woke up unable to get up properly as my back had stiffened from the awful matress (Im 28 years old and never had a back issue) Pillows were lumpy and horrible. I woke up every hour as i was so uncomfortable and gave up trying to sleep at 6am. The breakfast was no better than a 4 quid wetherspoons breakfast. No labels. The sausages were awful looked like Richmond sausages. Not what i expect for a very expensive breakfast of 15 quid! The hotel was run down paintwork chipped and had a very drab and dark feeling to it. The room however was nicely decorated and had a decent size bath. I have stayed at my local Crown Plaza and expected this one to be of the same quality as advertised as a 4 star. Very dissapointed
Clean and spacious rooms
Not much but the roadworks are a nightmare
Clean and tidy
Don’t like to have go up steps to get to the reception.
The location was great and car parking, very modern and clean.
nothing maybe free car parking.
