Simple clean room. The location was excellent. Only 4-5 min from Line 1 metro station.
The staff couldn’t speak enough English and bathroom was a bit dirty. I saw some old someone hair at drain and it’s made bad smell.
Food was good.
The room was a little dated
The hotel was very central - walking distance to Nanjing East Road & Xinzha Subway Line 1. It was also walking distance to Huanghe Food Street where there were lots of options for eateries. The rooms were modern with good toilet facilities. The rain shower was beautiful & relaxing after a long day out. The beds were comfortable and room was fairly clean. Breakfast was ok but limited selection.
The people at the front desk could not speak English and they had limited manpower. Therefore, it took a long time to check-in & check-out. To check-out was rather frustrating as we were rushing to the airport and they only had one front desk person serving a queue of people. The breakfast was the same everyday therefore we had the same food for 4 days until we got so sick of it that we decided to have breakfast outside for 2 days. Quality of food was average and they don't refill any of the food once they run out so better be down early for breakfast. They said breakfast ends at 10am but by 9:30am they were already cleaning & clearing the breakfast spread.
The room was generally clean, could have been slightly better still. First day, we were given a room with a dead window. I specially booked this hotel for a river view, as per the name, but was disappointed. When I insisted, they changed the room next day, and then we got a good river view.
I wish the hotel had a full day restaurant (as advertised), with an option for vegetarian food. I am pure vegetarian traveller.
Bed linen are clean, nice shower. Location of hotel is walking distance to subway station.
Lobby of hotel is not well lighted. Bathroom tiles is old, worn out with scratches and dirty. Floor corner of wall are dusty and not cleaned well. Carpet at corridor to rooms are worn and dirty.
