Perfect for business traveller

Need some more vegetarian dishes without eggs, sea food or meat. signage for vegetarian items in cereals, bread as restaurant staff unsure re contents which are not suitable to lacto vegetarian like me.

Good room size. Wi-fi ok, breakfast ok and the location near the subway. Also big bonus that guys on receiption speak English.

There are two airports in Shanghai and from one is only 20-30 min (subway) , but the other one maybe an hour and a half by taxi (300 uan).

I liked the location only.

I didn’t like the entrance of the hotel. The furnitures and the doors are old.

4th Time we have stayed at this hotel as it is close to railway station (easy walking distance). Perfect for our needs on one night stop-overs and competitive room rates.

Not a big fan of the "Free" breakfast, but at least there was some food we could eat.

A good place for railroad...

I like the breakfast here, but the restaurant was too crowded to find a seat. The room is not too large but it is OK to have necessary facilities.

The room is too close to Shanghai Railway Station. It may be hilarious for railroad fans but it is noisy to hear roars of trains and metros at night.

The breakfast is quite good with a variety of choices. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is easy access to train station and metro so ideal for stop over.

Toilet in my room 2623 seems to have a bad small

It's difficult to find English speaking persons in the hotel

Room was big. It’s about 500 meters from the Shanghai Railway Station where you can take the metro.

Breakfast food is not varied everyday, unlike in other Holiday Inn hotels. It should be varied so guest will enjoy breakfast.

Near Shanghai Railway and Metro.

Hotel didn't put in effort to clearly explain which metro and railway exit to take and direction to walk to hotel. Worse, there are two Holiday Inn one on South Side and another on North Side.

The room card does not work occasionally on elevators and room and we have to keep going back to lobby to get it rectified

Great location close to subway, restaurant and north train station.

Close to the northern square of shanghai railway station.

It is not a trivial to walk from the south square. Go to the north square of railway station, if you wanna check out the hotel directly from your trip by train. The breakfast is kind okay.

The location is quite a distance from the metro station entrance in Shanghai station. Even further when needs to take line 1 metro.

The location was good and very accessible to all areas. The staff were helpful as our flight were in the morning and we could check in before the official check in time. The price was reasonable. The room was spacious and clean.

As it was winter, we could not adjust the air-con to more cooler as we were afraid of warm temperature. The sewerage is a bit on the slow side as the flushes take time to move.

Bed was comfortable

One of the room drainage got problem.

They don't put amenities in the washroom, instead was a note " if you forget something ask the reception they will give you"

Hotel is situated just 200m away from the Shanghai railway station and the bus stand. Very easy to travel around the city using the metro.

Staff is very polite and helpful, they speak English for the most part and the location is great. The breakfast is good too.

The pillow was too soft

The manager was very helpful and spoke good English. The area is in a good location and near to the underground

The floors were dusty otherwise all good. Plus they gave us a hello kitty room for two men

The breakfast is good with a good spread of food to choose from. The location is poor as it is too close to the railway station and in a very crowded area.

breakfast is great and the location also good, room is clean, big enoungh for 2 people.

booking for 2 twin and 1 triple, unfortunately they give extra bed for triple, when we complain about its, it takes 2 hours to get the exact triple room.

Large hotel in the broader city centre, subway station and main railway station are right next to the hotel. Staff was polite, they give free water.

Breakfast was a bit crowded, there was a lot of food, they kept replenishing it, But international guest would not like the type of food served. Hotel was little bit older and there is not much to see in that location.

Taxi drivers are cheating in Shanghai .they have double fair system.

Location was a little out of the way. Good to be near the central railway station, but quite a distance from the major sites in Shanghai.
