Clean, quiet, charming little place walking distance to everything and easy access to opera. Basic but not stingy.
Kept on missing the entry. Signage so discreet I kept on driving and walking past.
The room is actually quite lovely and even though the views are nothing and privacy scant, I did enjoy the balcony. Clerk at check in was very informative and sweet showing us to pur rooms. Decor and inside of room very lovely. It was very very quiet. I think we were easily the youngest people staying there.
We got this room because it claimed private balcony. I dont consider a balcony looking out onto a main road private, but more than that, there was a window where persons coming to the adjoining room could look right out at me. Again not romantically private, and all that would be needed is a curtain or blind to fix. Location is not as close to downtown as it seems, 20 plus minute walk. Also the room picture made it look like a giant bathroom with 2 clawfoot tubs. Perhaps my mistake, but my wife and I both thought so. It's actually a mirror and the bathroom is cramped and heaven help you if you dont wanna take a bath. Showering was a messy struggle. The queen bed is for a very petite queen. The steps are very steep so if you have heavy luggage like we did, be forewarned.
Breakfast was served at time that was later than I expected (8:00 a.m.). I was not able to enjoy breakfast at all the entire week of my stay. I was pleased that the hotel was able to provide my room with a coffee pot upon request.
My room stayed a constant 78 degrees. I notified staff that the room was too hot and I felt like the air conditioner may be broken.
Location was good
Had to climb 15 stairs to get to our room. My husband had trouble with this. Pillows were very hard but they did supply better next day
Walking distance was good, rooms were great, very clean
