Cleanliness. All bathroom soap was missing and multiple light bulbs were out in the room. Bed sheets were loose and by the morning I was sleeping on the mattress.
Not what you'd expect from a "motel"
- Location was fantastic. "Downtown" Santa Barbara is pretty small and this was an easy walk or bike ride (free bikes!) to the main area - Once in the room, you would think it was a nice hotel. The rooms were big, bright, and clean. This is definitely a motel in name only. - Ice cold lemonade at the check-in desk was a nice touch
Coming up short...
Friendly Staff The room looked to be updated The location is good just on the edge of all the attractions Nice sized TV
Overall look of the outside needs to be updated as the rooms seems to have been - Dated Didn't like the mattress - Lumpy Didn't like the iPod/Clock/Radio - Didn't work Didn't like the security of the room - Both knob and Deadbolt seemed to have been damaged by forced entry
old but great location
The location and staff were great! Location was near the beginning on the downtown stretch. Staff are very nice and are willing to go the extra mile. Great service! Having bikes was nice although wet didn't get a chance to use them. The deck was nice.
The amenities were old. Windows need updating. Very old furniture on the deck. Locks were broken. Heater and ac temperamental.
The location right on State Street. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and inviting. The bathroom was very clean and bright. Like the lighting especially. Very nice stay. Will do it again.
Missed having a jacuzzi. Would of been nice to relax a bit.
Way too much for what you get
Nice location, quiet residential neighborhood but close enough to downtown. Friendly staff, good bed!
No frills: no pool, no coffee, no gym, no business center.
Very clean , simple but comfortable. Quiet
The location. The room looked like it had been newly updated and was also very clean.
The bed was very uncomfortable. The windows were very thin and you could hear everything going on in the middle of the night.
