Location and friendly and helpful staff.
Staff were very polite and helpfull. Ample parking. Decent shower.
Rooms can be quite noisey from the road traffic. Unfortunately we also had noisey neighbours apparently the walls are very thin. No tea or coffee in the room and the bathroom was quite musty smelling. The heating system is also very loud.
Location was an easy walk to the main shops on state and directly across the street from a market which is handy. The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and accommodating! I felt so welcome there. You can tell they have made a lot of effort to transform this otherwise average motel to more boutique by updating/grading certain features like the deck you can sit on to enjoy coffee or wine. They even gave me a hot water kettle for my tea.
It's not their fault, but the construction across the street is quite a bummer. it's loud. Also, as with all motels, if you want to sleep in late, it's not the easiest as the sound really carries and if people are talking loudly or cleaning carts are going to wake you up, you might be awakened earlier than anticipated. These aren't aspects that they can really control, just thought it worth mentioning. Going downstairs to get coffee was a bit inconvenient so coffee makers would be a plus! New pillows would be great too.
Location to restaurants and shops. Coffee in the lobby was great.
The bed was too firm.
Micheal was very pleasant during check in and greeting my other family. I didnt use the open deck or bikes but thought they were a nice thought since I was ripped-off for $400/night
The room price ($400/night) was absolutely ridiculous...Highway robbery. The property is old. The rooms were clean but very basic and bathrooms were rundown.
