Hotel La Posada del Angel

The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. The location was great for our purposes - close enough to family and in a relatively safe neighborhood. Though we were advised to take a taxi or Uber instead of walking. The premises were always clean, the AC worked well, there was always hot water, and the staff checked in often. It was nice to have breakfast options - they made beans and eggs for us most morning when asked. One of our mattresses was firmer than we liked and they kindly changed it out for us which was wonderful!

The entrance to the hotel is locked at night and we felt a little bad returning at a late hour and having to wake one of the staff members up to open the gate for us. Other than that, we were quite pleased with our stay.

I had a little trouble at the check in cause had to talk to the manager over the phone to discuss about a tax fee additional charge besides the price provided on the app, she was not nice it all since she couldn't explain where to find that term and/or condition and she literally said "that's the price so you either pay for it or you get nothing" I believe is not the way to treat customers could be a little more polite for over $12.00, besides that everything was ok including the staff.

I felt like family at this small hotel. everyone was kind, concerned and helpful. The back patio for breakfast and dinner was an oasis of calm, which one needs in San Salvador. Clean rooms, wifi, hot water, bottled water, quiet location within walking distance of their World Trade Centre. Breakfast kept me going most of the day. This is a great hotel to use as a base for travels throughout the rest of EL Salvador. Dont miss Juayúa. mark from Toronto

What a wonderful hostess. Helpful, friendly, and always cheerful. Breakfast was great. We thought it was bananas and cereal. My daughter wanted pupusas, two minutes later we heard the slapping sound of pupusas being made. Then come the eggs and beans and juice. It was wonderful. Clean, fresh flowers, relaxing garden courtyard. Small but friendly just they way we like it. It felt like staying with family
