Location and staff
The location is great, very central and we walked everywhere (restaurants, sites, etc.). Staff and room were ok. No major complaints. Parking is free but is about a block away.
Would be nice to have big water jugs that guests can use to refill water bottles (most hotels have this since you can't drink the tap water). TV didn't seem to be connect to anything so didn't get any channels.
Location. Staff was nice. Towels were ok. Provided plenty of bottled water.
Wifi was terrible. Bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable. Light was bad. No place to put second suitcase. No place to hang towels. No hairdryer. Tiny window. Could go on...
I had to leave my first hotel after I broke my ankle because I couldn’t navigate the cobblestone hill. This hotel is also on a cobblestone hill but several restaurants close enough on the street I could manage with my crutches. Although the staff was very friendly and several spoke some English, I was quite disappointed in the room. It was clean enough but very sparse and old. The bathroom was private but very tiny. It was very difficult to manage and I had to hop up the step turn and hop backwards to the toilet. There was an overhead fan that moved quite slowly but no other fan so it was hot. My room was was immediately off the office in the hall entrance so it was very loud, particularly when the party came in that was no doubt inebriated being very loud at 1 am. The cost was far more than the room was worth.
If you are taller than 5’8 you won’t be able to sit on the toilet, I’m 5’8 and my knees touched the wall. I kept thinking of my grandson who is 6’5 he wouldn’t be able to sit.
The hotel was close to downtown San Miguel.
The staff was harsh and unfriendly. I requested a lower level room because I traveled with a handicapped person. Upon the arrival, they told us that they did not get the request and that they do not pay attention to booking requests. After arguing with us, the woman gave us a lower level room. When I tried to pay their internet terminal did not work and they told me that I needed to pay cash. The pictures that they promote the place are very nice and the hotel is not that nice. The hotel does not have a sign and you have to knock on doors to find the place. I will not return to this hotel!
