Waited 30 minutes to check in. No one was at reception. No one answered phone's anywhere in the hotel. Room door jamp grossly out of alignment - use you shoulder. HVAC missing remote. Clerk came when called (once) to adjust the temp then left with his remote! TV operation was a total mystery - markings on the remote were worn off a long time ago. Bathroom - little or no hot water. Pros (+) Quiet hotel, very cute rooms, clean, fun rooftop atmosphere with great city views a pool and lots of spots to lounge.
Cons (-) The elevator is so incredibly slow. You are given an actual key for the door, not a card and that is a pain to keep track of.
Pros (+) It’s a beautiful colonial style boutique hotel in the heart of old San Juan. The rooms are gorgeous - with tiles on the floor and high wooden beamed ceilings. Bed was large and really comfortable.

Cons (-) There is virtually no street parking available which I believe is just a symptom of that part of the city. However, there is a parking garage around the corner but it's a flat rate of $20/24-hrs so be prepared. Pros (+) Quaint. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. It was a perfect location for seeing old San Juan
Cons (-) The room we had was next to the kitchen so we heard noises throughout the night. But it wasn't bad and I would still come back. My wife and I loved the room overall.
Pros (+) The facilities and staff were excellent. Beautiful rooms, old world charm with modern water pressure and comfy beds. St. Germain is just down the street, and fabulous coffee right around the corner.
