The room was very clean with an open closet. The hotel accommodated our request for a quiet room. Hotel guests were all adult, that we observed, also quiet and friendly. The bathroom linens were very plush. The "view" rooms really do have a great view. The Laureate is a nice bar, and several popular restaurants give some walkable dining options.
The shower was extremely small. The afternoon coffee tasted stale and the pastry breakfast platter was Costco quality. The neighborhood shops close down early, so there is not a real pedestrian strolling culture before the dinner hour. Fillmore is the closest areas to stroll in the evenings which is quite far to walk from the hotel.
Property clean, in a nice area and good room size.
Very expensive considering the only reason we booked here was to have a room we could cook meals for our child who has food allergies. Advertised as a facility with kitchenette with stovetop. Could not cook a meal at all. Tiny microwave, tiny sink and bar fridge only. Would have been better off staying in Fisherman’s wharf walking distance from everything for less cost and no travelling cost.
The staff was the best part. They were great. Jose even helped me with some package return that was delivered after our check out. They were always ready to assist us and smiling. Thank you very much for such a friendly stay.
Cleanliness could improve a little. There was a lot of dust on the floor. We found an old tennis ball under the bed.
The location is great. The room is clean, large and comfortable but nothing tops the staff. They are above and beyond, especially Joe who helped us with lost and found issues and much more. Oh and they serve delicious home made chocolate chip cookies - good luck with eating only one.
The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood. The Presidio Park and the Golden Gate view points are within walking distance. You can find good restaurants, cafés, phamarcies and supermarkets nearby. If you like working out, the hotel sells day-passes to the community center across the street, and you will have access to the gym, yoga, spinning classes... for just $15. After seeing what it's like downtown at night and the fisherman's market at any time of day, the hotel location is arguably much better. As for the hotel per se, I love the decoration, bathrooms are super new and clean, staff is the friendliest ever.
