Room smelled floor were nasty water kept turning cold tv didn’t work they tried to fix twice still kept turning off part of the outside building was falling off we found roaches the key didn’t work on knob
The property was sufficient for the purpose of having a motel. The room was clean, and had no foul odors or visible cleanliness offenses. The room looked great, and the accent walls and colors in the room looked great for a photo shoot for my model girlfriend, which was all we needed the room for.
The property was a little less than well-maintained, which was not a big problem. The problem was that it would’ve cost about $40 to fix everything that was wrong with the room we stayed in, and none of that was done. Towels had holes in them, the window needed to be adjusted, and there was no shower curtain in the barren shower stall. New towels, some attention to the room, and a new shower curtain wouldn’t’ve set the motel back more than $40, if that. It seems most of the ills of this place could be easily remedied, but are just left to neglect.
This is a hidden historical gem in a great location. Very nice nature-type grounds, with a nice BBQ grill outdoor patio area. And a front patio with an upright piano. The room was clean and very comfortable with everything you need. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend it if you like nature, peace and quiet, and prefer the off-the-beaten-path, versus the usual corporate cliche style. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in San Diego.
It is a charming historical place in a great location, but tucked away from all the noise on it's hidden property. Hard to find; which is good. But still close enough to freeways and public transportation to get anywhere in Pacific Beach, or adjoining beaches and San Diego. The room was clean and well decorated with the usual amenities, but I liked the historical interior and choice of colors for the room. It has a great outdoor BBQ area with a nice grill and plenty of outdoor patio type seating. And a hiking/biking trail right behind the property that follows a creek. Nice families were also staying there, doing their outdoor activities. Sebastian, the manager was very polite and professional and always available to answer questions, or to assist. And the housekeepers as well. Nice personalized service. And the kicker, a nice covered front patio area, with patio furniture, and [get this] an upright piano for entertaining. ALL this at such a great price. WOW! Can't beat it. I DEFINITELY recommend staying here. I would certainly stay there again when I am in San Diego.
The place was like a run down hotel. Dirty and disgusting. No shower curtain and the air doesn’t work for 20 mins. When trying to check out, the guy at the desk was asleep. Had to ring the bell and knock on the window multiple times.
It could have been clean. The outlets didn’t work. There was chipped tiles that caught my socks. There was not one single trash can. Not one.
