Location is excellent. Staff was helpful. And that's it.
A lot of stuff. Are you ready? - No bathroom in the bedroom. I thought the bedroom would have a bathroom and we would be able to share it. Nooooo! There were only two bathrooms on the ENTIRE FLOOR ! I had to go down one floor and HOPE that it would available. Now who wants to do that at 6 or 7am??? - Not only my room's location was the farthest of them all (4th floor, end of the hall) and there's no elevator, but I had to share the room with a person who barely spoke English, was living there for two MONTHS and had HORRIBLE HYGIENE! The room had the most disgusting smell I've ever seen in a hostel in a long time. I had to teach the guy that opening the windows would make a lot of difference and hoped the fan do its job because it was barely working. - No AC in a room of 4 people with a fan that BARELY WAS WORKING. - Kitchen and common area were located on the 2nd floor while they put me on the 4th floor. So basically you're extremely tired and still have to walk a lot just to sit down and be able to eat. - They make you take your sheets, pillow cover and all in order to check out. So if you're in a hurry, tired after looking desperately for a bathroom on the 3rd floor and the kitchen on the 2nd, you still need to go back to your room (remember, if you stay in mine you'll have to go to the end of the 4th floor) just to get those things required to check out. Nice going, hostel.
Maybe dont treat backpackers like homeless. Out of state ID and a return ticket home i was still treated like i was getting over on them and like i was homeless
The staff is really cool, it’s quiet
The staff and the atmosphere!
Overall the Hostel was in a really good location. It had a bar right next to it. And is within a ten minute walk to the Convention Center and the Baseball Stadium. Also the staff was extremely friendly and were willing to help with all the small issues that we encountered.
There were some issues with our fan, however the they did provide us with individual smaller fans to keep us cool during the night.
