Guests consistently praised the hotel's convenient location and the spaciousness of the rooms. Some guests enjoyed the breakfast and found the lobby and koi pond area attractive. However, many reviews noted issues with outdated and worn furniture, cleanliness concerns, and high parking fees. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The property is beautiful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was outstanding. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is another huge plus, as it's close to everything you might need while visiting San Diego. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place ...

Okay
Walter, Aug 2025
Very well located to UCSD university and medical center, as well as shopping/restaurants. Just a few miles from the beach. Smoke alarm was hanging by the wires, toilet handle was missing a plastic nut so it was tricky to flush, two basic maintenance items. Bed very firm. Cute koi pond, very good breakfast in a classic Embassy Suites atrium building. Staff helpful. Didn't check out the pool but you...

Free wifi and at least a handful of free parking spots make this place head and shoulders above anything nearby - I’m looking at you Marriott!!

Good
Jordan, Sept 2020
Pros (+) Love the hotel in general and rooms
Cons (-) Called ahead for an early check-in but ended up waiting about 3 hours before finally getting into a room and we were in a time crunch to make it to a wedding. Also we paid for parking but there was no parking available so we had to call someone to help us who instructed us to park in the handicap parking

Okay
Ketul, Jul 2019
Cons (-) The cleaning staff started they vacuuming right outside of the rooms at 5am. Also, none of the promises that were made to me in terms of service were taken care of. They lied to appease me and then no follow thru.

Pros (+) good distance to SD downtown, Torrey Pines Reserve and several beaches; also a gigantic outdoor mall across the street Breakfast & Happy Hour were very nice (included in room rate) Clean hotel & room
Cons (-) traffic in immediate area gets very congested during rush hour $30 for daily parking is steep!

Pros (+) I love the embassy suites, awesome breakfast, and happy hour.
Cons (-) Downsides are parking is $30, which is ludicrous, and you have to pay for WiFi, it’s 2018, that should be included for free

Lynn, Apr 2017
Pros (+) The lobby is beautiful with Koi ponds and waterfalls. The front desk staff was super nice and accommodating, which was fantastic. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Room service was delicious and fast, and the staff that delivered it was so friendly! The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well, with made to order omelettes and such. There was also a free happy hour, which made it very easy t...
Cons (-) The bathroom. While it was clean, it was just "eh". For the price of our stay, I expected a bit more. It had a standard tub, with a standard shower head, that did have a few settings. It would have been nice to have a larger tub, or a jetted tub, with a removable shower head. It also seemed that the room above us was not carpeted, so we were able to hear luggage rolling around up there occasionall...
