The only thing good about this hostel could be its location. It's right in the center.
I am not sure if we are talking about the same place with some of the other reviewers, because I didn't experience anything good there. From the moment I went in there was a russian guy sitting in the reception and he wasn't very welcoming but normal. Some other people were watching TV loud in the reception but this is nothing in comparison to what I experienced later. Yes the rooms are something like in the pictures but now imagine the worst condition of those rooms. Old beds, unclean rooms, moisture and much more. The toilet was unclean, the environment was nothing but awful. I didn't even go to the kitchen. The worst part was some of the "guests" there. Before going there I booked the place for 4 days and at the moment I entered the room I knew that I can only stay for a night. Those "guests" were about 3-4 guys and drunk. I went in with the linen given to me and went out, when I came back it wasn't in my bed. I assume they even took that. Then some of them went out and came back around 3 am and started to talk/laugh out loud, put some music, drink and eat (I was shocked!) in the freaking room. I waited a little assuming that somebody from the hostel would come or they would stop but it was no help. I told them that I have to sleep and stuff and they shut up after about 10 mins although it was late anyway. It was such a negative experience that I had in my first night at the city. I cancelled my booking the very next morning and they have a fine of 1 night price when you cancel. Went to another hostel with slightly more price but it was worth it to the every single penny then!
Close to center and very reliable for a shopping near by
The stuff totally unprofessional, they don’t speak English, they don’t accept credit card as a payments “only cash” they don’t have shampoo or soap for sale in the hostal (moist hostal have)
The location in one of the main streets of St. Petersburg. The hostel was cleaned every day and the staff was friendly.
It didn’t look like the photos and it’s basically.
Location. I was able to wash my clothes.
Only good because I paid a cheap price.
The location was good
Not friendly staff (except blonde girl at reception), really dirty place, the towels are extremely small. For the same price you can get something so much better (what I did after my first night)
