The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very good as well, close to Peter and Paul fortress and Vasiliesky island.
Staff member nice and helpful. Room was clean, modern and comfortable.
Breakfast quality is good, but is suitable for one or two night stay only as the menu was the same everyday, with limited selections. According to our preference, we needed to have same food everyday for our 4 night stay. Location difficult to find when first came to the hotel, as hotel only has a very small logo on the wall and we were misled by the dental clinic poster and missed the hotel entrance. Curtain didn't worked properly, some part was repeatedly detached. it was also not light proof as the sun rose around 3 am in June.
By far one of the best hotels I've stayed in! The location was perfect and the staff were really helpful.
Felt like home. Very welcoming. Attentive staff. Will stay again.
I have visited this property 2 times in the past (and booked it for family members another 2 times), each of them I was happy. Until this one. It's a question of priorities. Basics come before 'nice to haves'. And this time, the basics were not covered. a) in a cold winter like St. Petersburg's a warm room is not a luxury, and at night, the room was not sufficiently heated. Nothing could be done about it. b) a warm shower is also not a luxury, however, this time -as well as one of my previous visits- the warm water run out in a matter of minutes. When confronted about this, the staff contacted the owner, who could only tell me that there's nothing they can do. Second time I attempted to shower I did count the minutes until the warm water ran out. 7 minutes. Absolutely insufficient for two people. I wasn't offered any kind of compensation for this. And to be honest, I didn't insist on one, because it should have been freely offered, unless of course, the management doesn't care like they did in the past. I was offered to shower in another room (not to be changed to another room, just to 'shower' there, and warned that the water would also run our rather fast. I chose no to, since that would have meant moving between rooms with clothes and parfumerie products, defeating the purpose of a private bathroom. c) their breakfast used to amazing, fantastic. This time, is was simply supermarket products warmed in a microwave. I know for a fact this wasn't like this before. And I also know this products are just supermarket ones (not home-made) because I know them and have seen them for sale. All in all, I'm sad to see a great establishment get 'too comfortable' and stop caring for the quality that used to define it. I used to recommend this place to friends and family visiting the city, unfortunately I won't be any longer. Rooms look nice, bed is comfortable, and staff is really friendly.
