Jersey government advice is to close all hotels during lockdown, however this hotel claimed they are still open to tourists and would not cancel booking. Beware if you have issues with the hotel.
Spa with pool and jacuzzi, restaurants and bars on sight. 5 minutes walk to town centre. Fabulous!
The location of the hotel is really good, right in the centre of town. Parking was easy (on-street) and just a few minutes walk to the hotel. The spa is a different level in every sense of the word. It is in the basement and it is clean and quiet and well equipped. It feels the spa should belong to a different hotel as it is top-notch quality. Also, a massive bonus is that the hotel has everything - from night club to bar and spa - all in one place. The staff also seemed very nice!
OK, so the shower in the bathroom is a joke. Lots of pressure + badly fitted shower door= water all over the floor on the bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable, but it was clean. The rooms could do with a refurbishment really. The food was again just a bit below the average of what you would expect - especially in comparison with the spa, which is outstanding. The night club was good, but the front cafe/bar downstairs is more Wetherspoons quality than a gastropub so to say. So overall, the spa made it well worth, but next time I would likely stay in another hotel and just use the Spa facilities here.
The location. The restaurant served nice food but it was expensive, which seems odd when there are two outstanding restaurants/cocktail bars just across the road that is better value.
Expensive for what you get, which is a decent sized room but tired and needs updating. Hit and miss with the staff, some were helpful and friendly, some couldn’t care less. But then I found that with Jersey in general.
Staff very friendly and accommodating
Room was really dark and beds were uncomfortable.
