Hotel Texas

The location was great, of the main road so quite but still in the heart of Rome. They kept the place exceptionally clean and beds were made daily (same sheets we didn’t pay for anything special) and new towels.

Expect the old Italian style, classy marble floor and then funky wall paper. Room was small which was expected. The down side of the stay we payed extra for our own bathroom. This turned out to be just a shower in the room and basin. The shared bathroom was great, small but kept very clean.

Receptionist is helpful and the place is clean Convenient to get around the area and about 1 km far from the main station not 600-700 meter like website mentioned.

I asked for a quieter room, still the manager and staff gave me a room next to the road. I heard the manager asked the receptionist via the phone "are they young couple?". From my hotel experience, that means if we are young, they will put us to the side that is noisier because they will save another side to older people. So I tried to tell them I wanted the quieter room but it didnt happen which made me really upset. So, there is noise from other people outside the room all night, the room was not made for sound protection, so you will hear everything. I woke up many times and ended up sleeping only for 2 hours.
